As they were discussing the plan to infiltrate the base. John noticed a shadow approaching. He charged in an instant at Tony.
Tony thought he was going to kill him. So he covered a small area of his arms with aura as he put up his arms to block John's attack.
But John ended up clashing with a shadowy figure that was a few centimeters from cutting off Tony's head.
John felt pressure on his hands as his fingers ripped a little bit. The creature backed off as Tony realized he had almost died.
The creature then vanished.
John shook his hand as he tried to mimic what he had done on accident. He circulated aura through the wound on his hand. But it didn't heal like it had when he had almost connected to his concept.
He shook his hand and blood went everywhere as he attempted to get feeling back into it.
John spoke:
"They know we are here. These creatures move too fast. Keep your senses sharp, otherwise. You will die."
Anos spoke:
"Are we still carrying out the mission?"
"Yes. You have enjoyed the benefits of being part of the scouting team. So you naturally must do the work of the scouting team."
"How are we going to get inside?"
John smiled.
He begin to carve runes on his working hand. He did the exact same ones he had used to burst a hole in the ground at the shelter.
Soon he was charging up a blue ball of energy.
This time he was prepared for it to drain his internal aura. He purposefully used a much larger amount then previously.
"HA!"
He shouted as he threw the plasma ball at the flesh base. A huge crater and hole was formed on the flesh base.
"We now have an entrance."
"We don't have much time. Let's hurry up and record the situation inside. Then let's get the hell out of here."
"Remember. Avoid looking directly at the creatures inside the base. Use your peripheral vision to fight these things. You don't want to go insane."
They entered the flesh base.
"They should know we have arrived. Everyone split up. If we need to communicate use your smart watch."
Soon they all ran in different directions.
John was in a maze of flesh. He was just doing his job and recording the situation. That was until he saw something insane.
Remember the orbs that held comprehension of laws? The ones he had found in that inheritance of the chaos realm?
He saw an orb that looked just like this.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
"It can't be... that would be too easy."
He was a little too tempted though. Having a law had helped him reach the peak in the past. Had he not had one, he never would've built his universe in the way he had did.
He walked up to the orb. He then looked around to make sure this wasn't a trap.
As soon as his hands touched the orb. Something horrible happened.
It didn't give him comprehension in a law. No, instead. It shattered his soul.
The intelligence left his eyes. As he stood there like an empty shell. His will remained though.
After a few seconds. His soul completely reformed due to the system.
Black claws then tried to pierce his body. But he dodged them to the surprise of the living mechanism.
"I see... It was a trap."
He messaged everyone to not touch any orbs found. Not following this order could lead to death.
John then continued to explore. He was surprised he hadn't run into other monsters. But just as he had this thought. He ran into a god.
That's right! The first god he had run into with this identity.
The god looked surprised to see him.
"You dare gaze upon a god?"
John laughed. But sweat was visible running down his back.
The god vanished! John felt a threat to his life. He used aura to cover his entire body. As the god appeared in front of him. Sending out a casual punch and John was punched threw multiple layers of flesh.
The god didn't stop. He continued to hit him deeper and deeper into the wall. The god wasn't even using close to 1% of his strength. But he was still surprised to see John fine. An ordinary human would've became paste.
The main reason the god held back was to preserve the base. He didn't wish for his boss to get angry with him.
"You're still alive?"
John pulled himself out of the hole as he coughed up blood.
John was a bit mad at his luck. He just had to run into a god. What was this luck. He supposed it was his fault for agreeing to this mission.
John then spoke:
"You're rank 7 and you can't even deal with a regular mortal. Pathetic"
The god sneered.
"How do you know that?"
John quickly dropped to the ground as the place where his head had been exploded. The god's pupils constricted.
"You little cockroach."
John was running low on aura.
He recreated the runes on his good hand. He then shot the energy at the god.
But he merely waved his hand at this child's play. The wave of plasma bounced off his hand doing no damage at all. It travelled in another direction, crashing through multiple walls.
But he then realized.
John was gone.
"You think you can run from me?"
He was about to teleport, but an illusory tendril wrapped around his existence. It was the owner of this flesh base.
"If you step outside of my domain, reality will kill you. Do not chase that mortal."
"It is more important to help working on the sanctuary universe."
The hidden existences were working together to do more then simply invading reality. They were creating a test for all races across the universe.
It would be foolish for this god to waste his time on a mere human.
The systems were almost done. The 'apocalypse' would be ending very soon. But it was a trick! It would just be a rest period until the actual real deal. Until the trial of humanity.
"Fine..."

Bittor's POV:
I split off from the group and wind up in a flesh maze.
"What beautiful scenery..."
Organs and eyes as well as veins are the walls.
I have a secret technique that I've developed using the new energy.
Aura extends out in spikes around me. I use them like a new sensory organ. By feeling the changes in aura. I can detect potential threats.
My control hasn't reached incredible heights yet. But it is just barely enough to have this help guide me. I'm also wearing equipment with a flashlight attached to my camera.
I feel that something has broken through the aura trap I have set around myself.
I duck as some sort of monster attacks me.
I then turn around and form aura on my hand. I catch a claw and pinch it. But my strength and weight isn't enough. I am soon tossed like a doll.
I get up and look at the creature.
It roars and charges at me. I turn off my sensory aura and focus all that I can control on my arms as I cross them and take the attack head on.
The aura shatters and I get cut by the claws of this creature.
I slam my feet into the ground as I am pushed. This time, I don't allow myself to get thrown.
Then I see a blue ball of energy appear out of a wall and kill the creature in front of me.
I get a message on my watch.
"Retreat."
Luckily, the boss saved me.

Meanwhile... John had no idea that the distraction he had thrown at the god had saved one of the team members.
While most of the members were injured. None of them had died.
They soon set off and headed back to the shelter.
Their operation was a secret.
Now the shelter had experiment materials.
