Chapter 39: Fishing Zero

Chapter 39: Fishing Zero

Soon John was sucked into the cracks.

He found himself in the gap between realities.

He tried to open up his storage space. But nothing happened. This interested him deeply.

It would seem that most of his abilities were offline in this gap. You might think him trapped. But, just like before. He still had a deep connection with his Emergence Point.

John was completely surrounded by void...

Back when John was a concept. He had broken through the barriers of his reality and came to a higher level. One far more strict then his previous one. But he distorted and modified the reality he found himself in completely.

John wasn't at such a level of power now. He had broken down his concept in order to follow a different path. He had reached the end of the line in his opinion regarding 'Emflowcreagen'.

Still he could feel his Emergence Point. He looked at his nexus and saw that 'Higher Reality #0' was frozen.

"How interesting..."

Time was not flowing for the universe he just left. It had become static.

John found this quite useful.

Still, if John were to use this place to travel to an entirely different universe. He was currently too slow.

He could barely travel a fraction of the speed of light. To cross this space... It was asking too much from him. But he didn't give up.

John left this space. He teleported to his nexus and walked towards his only phantom universe.

He teleported back into this universe to a random spot in space. He waved his hands and pulled out countless supplies from his storage space.

That's right! He was planning on bringing a spaceship into the gap in reality. He could only travel at 360,000 kilometers an hour with his current body.

Light could travel at 1,079,252,848 kilometers an hour.

His best spaceship could go half the speed of light!

He used his full strength to open another crack in reality. He tried to take his spaceship into the gap. But something unfortunate happened.

As soon as the spaceship went through the crack. It evaporated as if it was water.

"What? It would seem that won't work either."

John had assumed that this space was the gap between realities. But now he started to think he could be wrong.

What happened had reminded John of his destruction talent. Perhaps something similar was happening here. But John was immune to this talent now. Perhaps this is why he was able survive in this space.

John didn't believe that this was a useless space.

Soon John started to formulate an interesting idea. Time was frozen for his other universe. So, couldn't he study this space endlessly?

"I am in a unique position. I am immortal and have no real connections to my previous world. I do have some plans for the last universe. Seeing that time is frozen for it while I am here. Doesn't that mean I can ignore my previous ambitions and study this space?"

"A special space that isn't my Emergence Point. A place where my system is almost completely useless. Isn't that the recipe for the perfect training ground?"

John tried his talents. They actually worked! His system may be useless. But it would seem that his global existence has quite the high authority.

Out of his talents and abilities. Only Disguise, Soul Mimic, Creation, and Mortalize seemed to be working. He couldn't even create waypoints in this space.

Also, when he used his creation talent. Any objects made would be destroyed by this place.

John found an exploit though. He began to create the objects with a very small amount of source. He was making the objects from Creation have abyssal characteristics.

Soon. He was able to spawn in things in this empty space. He built a base. He even recreated a spaceship. But hyperdrive didn't work. It couldn't even travel as fast himself! Pointless...

John then found that this was the perfect opportunity to use what he had learned in the godkiller database.

The godkiller race had an 'All Actions Equation' that was capable of simulating the universe. They also had real time devices that could make sure the data matched up.

John didn't bother recreating a machine to do this. He shifted his body. Creating a machine within the flesh of where his brain should've been.

Soon. John had a new sensory organ.

John found the new organ useful as it felt as if he could peel back the secrets of the universe. In this space where his was limited. He figured information was key!

As he looked at the rules of this space through his new organ. His talent in formations showed him something disturbing.

"I see... this space is like a hidden folder in reality. It isn't meant to be explored at all."

"But I am like a virus. Unable to be erased."

John could tell from the data that there was a spike in the warping of space. He just needed to travel and find a weakness.

He spent a decade flying in the direction. Using his new organ like a compass.

After a century of flying. He had crossed an unfathomable distance. But it looked as if he hadn't traveled far at all.

Even with his speed. This place seemed infinite. It was!

Soon he reached the spot...

"Excellent! This is the spot."

He began to rapidly punch creating massive amounts of energy. But this void was stronger then the rules of reality. He wasn't able to breakthrough into a different universe...

His new sensory organ clearly told him something was on the other side of this space.

"This is a problem."

"How do I cross over?"

John wracked his mind calculating many things... But he was unable to come up with a solution. That was until he thought of something a little insane.

But John loved insanity.

John thought of that mysterious rank 9 that had set up a trial in the new universe he invaded. Obviously, there was no rank 9 in that universe until John made things supernatural. It was then that this rank 9 invaded as well.

What if he could somehow attract the rank 9 into this space. Use his Soul Mimic to copy their soul and bust through reality... Reaching an entirely new universe.

He was restricted by this weird space. So shouldn't the rank 9 be weakened? He just needed to figure out how he planned to trick him into taking the bait.

John had a plan! Fusion...

What was this? It was combing his abilities together to warp reality.

Specifically, in this case. He was combining 'Creation', and 'Lifesteal'. Creation allowed him to will things into existence. Lifesteal allowed him to connect with his environment. It allowed him to pull energy from it.

This was a fusion of two talents. What was he creating exactly? Something a little insane. He planned to build the chaos realm.

Where? HERE!!!

John held a phantom of his global existence in his hand ,burning the energy within and using Creation. He was also using a negative instead of a positive Lifesteal.

This was infusing his environment with his energy instead of doing the opposite.

To create a chaos realm was insanity in itself. To do so using his limited energy.

It was impossible! But he was John Destinatus! The entity that would create the very first Origin. Something that would surpass the cosmic order!

Thanks to the bits of his concept and the way his global existence is constructed. He had infinite energy! The bottleneck was the time it took to regenerate it.

He needed to perfectly balance his consumption and regeneration.

He waved his hands as he started to feel an itch on the soul level. John was someone who was capable of spending an abnormal amount of time on a task. It was thanks to his immortality and concept that he got so far.

But this? It was excruciating...

Every single second. He could do the same task repeatedly for centuries and he would be fine. He has done this in the past.

But this... He was reaching a bit.

The entire void started to become red around him.

An hour passed.

A day...

A week.

A month.

A year.

He felt extremely tired. He wanted to take a break. He wanted to stop.

But he knew that he could never create the real chaos realm. What he was creating was an illusory one. One that would lack most of its functions.

John's eyes were bloodshot.

His hands were shaking.

"DO NOT STOP!"

"I CAN DO THIS FOREVER!!!"

Something then clicked for John. It felt 'easy'.

He was in ecstasy...

He was the fisherman. These gods? Eldritch entities? Hidden Existences?

To John... they were simply fish in the ocean. He was waiting for one to bite.

Centuries go by as John holds the chaos realm together with every ounce of willpower that he had.

Soon. Mysterious doors started to appear in this gap.

Soon the void was completely red.

"I've done it! Behold. The Chaos Realm!"

Soon, various hidden existences were existing in this space. He had tricked reality; Others had no idea they were existing in a fake realm!

"Now... I just need Ygriognu to bite the bait."

Something unexpected happened though. A rank 9 didn't bite!

A rank 10...

John might've done something he shouldn't have.

The one and only rank 10 across endless multiverses. Their attention was now fully on John.

The fake chaos realm shattered.

"What? Impossible! I never lost focus. How cou-"

A man wearing a lab coat appeared. He looked ordinary.

Except for his eyes...

His left eye's iris was silver.

His right eye' was green.

John stared at this man in confusion.

Someone else was existing in the gap space!

The man spoke:

"You're that dead concept right? How interesting!"
