"Infinite energy acquired!"

John felt quite satisfied. But he was a bit disappointed in himself for not being able to create something from nothing without using his origin.

But he figured that you can't have everything you want. He would figure it out in the future.

For now. He would rely on the yin and yang to generate his special type of energy.

John wasn't finished with his 'special' training yet. The journey wasn't over. Things were only just beginning.

John teleported and appeared behind Du.

"Let's go."

John had thought about expanding the etching of origin in Du's soul. Making him a sort of administrator. Perhaps he could keep tabs on this universe. But John felt that Du hadn't fully grown up yet. He was merely older then a century.

So before John made Du an administrator. He would first take him to explore his multiverse. Allowing him to gain experience. John didn't wish for him to be carried by himself. He didn't want him to copy his techniques. He wanted to see how Du would evolve.

"Perhaps I will have an organization similar to Deathless in the future. Without them, I never would've been blessed by concepts. Doing everything yourself is quite dangerous. Having more people to help can save time and resources."

"Now..."

"I am capable of traveling across the universe by using the leap ability of spiritual energy. Even if there isn't any atoms or gaps in space in the area. I can create the gaps myself using spiritual energy. I can pretty much go wherever I want in this multiverse."

"I don't have to be reborn again and again. I can use this body to explore my multiverse!"

A portal opened up and John and Du walked through it.

What they saw next amazed them. It was a black abyss with white text filling up the empty void. It looked amazing.

The text itself was a mix of zero's and ones.

There were also white stars everywhere and the text bended around them as if spacetime itself was folding.

Du had learned his lesson and was using his nascent soul to retain consciousness.

He used his spiritual sense to communicate with John.

"Where are we?"

A barrier formed around both of them as an environment was created.

John spoke:

"This is the last universe I created in this multiverse. I created a regular universe with 120 elements. I also created a world made of energy particles, a world made of spiritual elements, and the universe we are in now. A world made of data!"

"What is the benefits of this world?"

"My spiritual energy is branded with consciousness of multiple true immortals. My thinking can reach speeds that rival gods. But I am greedy for more. I wish to continue to surpass myself. That is where this world comes into play."

"I have no idea how this world has evolved. We will need to explore it. But hopefully I can improve my processing power by using this universe."

"This is also an opportunity for you. In those last few fights. You were essentially useless. Here you can grow. I want you to become a genius. I want you to surpass that state."

"I don't understand... this world is just information, right? How can we grow from it?"

"Don't judge a universe by its appearance. This is a paradise for data lifeforms."

"Data lifeforms?"

"Correct. There are no atoms here. Neither is there something supernatural like spiritual energy. Instead the world is made up of data. Nodes have formed and simulations are everything. The perfect place to become a genius!"

Du tried grabbing the data. But his hands went through it.

"But... we can't interact with this world at all."

John laughed.

"Think of it like a program on a computer. Can you physically interact with the program without a tool?"

"Computer?"

"Ahhh... I forgot I'm dealing with a cultivator. Think of it like a formation. Without the proper tools and knowledge. It is quite hard to mess with a form-"

"I don't know anything about formations..."

John frowned.

"Alright. Imagine something in your mind. Something simple."

"Got it."

"Now imagine that in your hand."

"Alright."

"Hold out your hand."

Du held out his hand with the imaginary object.

John waved his hand above Du's hand.

"My hand went through your imaginary object. Because I tried to physically touch it. But by using tools..."

John waved his hand as spiritual energy appeared from nothing! He had used the yin and yang. Soon the energy created something special.

A knife appeared in John's hand.

He then cut the imaginary object in half!

Du's eyes widened in shock.

"How the hell you can you interact with something that doesn't exist. That was just my imagination..."

John smiled:

"That is the trick. This is something I discovered a long time ago. It is a special element. I call it cerebium. It can even interact directly with the soul."

"That isn't the only element I can create. There is also sensesium which can interact with brain waves."

John snapped his fingers and it appeared as if a thousand lines appeared around them. Soon they were inside of a lab.

Du asked:

"You teleported us?"

"No... I simply constructed this building using spiritual energy."

"Please. Lay down."

Soon Du was laying down on one of the beds.

John created a special helmet out of nowhere and handed it to Du.

"This is something I have invented. It is the key to entering the illusion of reality that is this universe. I have no idea what we will find."

"In order for this to work... we may have to hack the operating system of this reality. That could be tricky."

John also got on a bed beside Du and put the helmet on.

"Let's begin!"

The helmet activated and tapped into the brainwaves of John and Du. They both found themselves surrounded by millions of lights.

There were advertisements everywhere and balls of energy shooting back and forth.

It appeared that they couldn't see John and Du.

John felt an overwhelming amount of sensory information. He started to actually get a headache! John looked over at Du.

The intelligence had left his eyes and he was half laughing with a weird smile on his face.

"Information overflow... this universe is interesting."

John controlled the helmets remotely and brought Du out of this world to recover. It looks like John would need to create a program.

"I am a foreigner to this world. I also don't know the rules. Luckily, the system itself hasn't noticed my presence. But that is likely due to the sheer amount of data here. Even I feel overwhelmed. Absolutely insane! The potential!"

"But first I will need to copy the locals."

John felt just like how he felt in the real world. His consciousness began to create spiritual energy as he deleted himself and launched his consciousness at one of the random balls of energy.

He was seizing their body! But they were...

"So strong!?"

"A random entity in this world has such strong mental strength. It is comparable to myself. No... these guys surpass me!? What about the top players of this universe? I haven't even gotten into any important areas. This is a random."

John was actually pushed out of the orb.

But through the battle. Although he lost. He gained just enough information to mimic the properties of these entities.

He wasn't using spiritual energy. As what these things were were essentially artificial intelligence. He instead changed the program for his helmet, creating an 'avatar'.

He now looked like a native.

Soon he was surrounded by orbs of energy. He himself was one as well.

Across from him was the orb he had tried to steal their body.

John felt a pressure unlike anything he had felt before as his consciousness was sucked into a virtual environment.

John himself was still a small ball of energy. But standing before him was a celestial emperor. It looked like a giant alien with a human body with three eyes and multiple planets rotating around it.

"Where am I?"

"J-0hn... Why did you try to fuse with me? I am married already! If my companion found out... they would scramble me... Your existence is excellent... but I'm taken. My program belongs with another person."

"Fuse?"

The entity 'blushed'.

It looked a little creepy.

"I wasn't trying to fuse. I recently lost my memories. I am a newborn."

"A newborn? Oh god."

Reality fell apart and John found himself where he had been previously. John felt waves of information hit him.

He could tell everyone around him was 'laughing' at him.

The orb that he tried to 'fuse' with flew off at insane speeds trying to recover from this.

John muttered to himself:

"This is going to be a weird world..."
