16 pm
Klancy knocked on the door of a familiar place. The door was opened by Hartsaga. His eyes became surprised and he quickly walked back . Klancy, Salim, Hui Ying, Manish entered the building with suspecting eyes.
“Oh, you again? What now?” asked Oliga as he jumped into the hallway from the living room.
“We have made interesting progress in our investigation. The IP address used by the culprit to set up the website with the malicious program originated from this place. We talked to your internet service provider and I’m sure this is the IP address that your company uses.” said Klancy as he gave Oliga the paper in which he had written down the IP address.
Oliga took the paper, his eyes widened and he said “Yes, that is the IP address of our own.”
“It means the culprit is one of your workers. Or maybe it’s actually you!” said Salim.
Oliga bit his lips and looked at them with a frown.
“Do you use any keystroking or activity spying programs to keep an eye on the actions of your workers?” asked Manish.
“Of course not! I respect the privacy of our workers. So long as they are on time and make sure the servers are running correctly, they get their pay” said Oliga with a grunt.
“Calm down. Then at least allow us to search the internet history of your workers.” said Hui Ying.
“Tough luck! Our workers here are well educated on that matter. They use web browsers that automatically delete their internet history and a VPN.” said Oliga.
“Tch. So you’re saying every worker here is highly capable and could be a valid suspect?” said Klancy with a smile.
“Hey! That’s not what I meant and you know it.” grumbled Oliga.
“Yes. But that’s besides the point. Gather your men. We’re gonna have a talk.” said Klancy.
Everyone working at the place was quickly gathered. Oliga, Hartsaga, Harjal, Larry, Milmar, Mary, Lloyd all sat on chairs inside the giant living room.
Klancy walked around as he listened to the recording of his phone.
Salim asked “Is there any way to know which computer is connected to the Rshield VPN and the malicious website?”
“I’m afraid that’s not gonna be possible. I’ve been looking through these PCs and their browsing history seems to be clean.” said Hui Ying from behind the computers gathered at the center of the room.
Manish also shook his head.
“Alright. Then it’s the old-fashioned way. Oliga, you said Mary and Lloyed were with you during 1 to 3 am of August 15th, which means the three of you can’t be the culprit. Larry, you said you were at Xmachina with your friend Leonard and some other women, can you call your friend, let us speak to him and prove that this is true?” asked Klancy.
“Oh, yes. Of course.” said Larry.
“Make sure it’s a video call.” said Hui Ying.
Larry opened up his phone and started a call. He showed the screen to the detectives. A man with cyan glasses and wavy hair appeared on the phone.
“Hey, Lar-wow, who are those? You got company?” said the man with a laugh.
“Yo, Leo. I’m here being interrogated by the cops. You can vouch for me, right? I was with you during 1-3 am August 15th?” said Larry with a smirk.
“Oh, yeah. At Xmachina. There were some women who drank and danced with us. I actually got one of their number, Jasmine’s. You want to me to contact them?” asked Leonardo.
“That would be helpful for our investigation.” said Klancy.
Leonardo opened another phone and called. Soon a woman’s voice came from that phone.
“Hello, Hey Leo, how is it hanging?” asked the woman, whose name was likely Jasmine.

“Hey. Just wanted to clarify something. You were with me and Larry on the 15th from 1-3 am, right?” asked Leonardo.
“Oh, hmm. Yeah. I think Lulu and I met you guys and hung out starting from 11. We’ve been together all night till 5. What, you’re being interrogated? Hehe” asked Jasmine.
“Something like that. Anyways, I think the people who needed to hear that probably heard that.” said Leonardo.
The woman cut off and Leo looked at them and asked “How is that? Enough to let my pal get off the hook?”
“Probably.” said Klancy as he wiped his chin with his hand.
Leo ended the call and everyone looked towards Harjal.
“My turn, huh. Oh well.” said Harjal, opened up his phone and called.
Soon a man with gray hair and sharp yellow eyes appeared on the phone.
“Hey, Harjal. What is up?” asked the man.
“Hey, Amir. I’m being investigated and you and I were together from 1-3 am on August 15th, right?” asked Harjal timidly.
“Oh, yeah. Yes. You and I were sleeping together. I remember the warmth of your skin my friend. You didn’t leave my sight that night. I barely slept that night honestly. Hahaha!” cried Amir
“Oh, thanks. I umm, yeah. That is what happened.” said Harjal as he scratched his head awkwardly.
“Oh, sorry for the intrusion. But it was worth knowing that your friend had an alibi.” said Klancy from the other side.
“Yeah, haha. No worries. There is nothing to be ashamed about.” said Amir with a smirk.
The call ended and Harjal sat back onto his seat.
“So, now we’re left with Hartsaga and Milmar” said Salim with a frown.
“Hey, I didn’t do shit! Surely there are other proof that I’m not the culprit” said Hartsaga loudly.
“Unfortunately, I can't think of anything.” said Manish.
“You said you live with your grandma, was your grandma also sleeping that night? You could always contact her, ask if she was awake that night.” said Klancy.
Hartsaga opened up his phone and called. Soon the face of an old lady with white hair appeared.
“Hello, Hartsaga, is that you?” asked the grandma.
“Hey, grandma. Cops are questioning me. I didn’t do anything bad, it's just they suspect me cause of things. Umm, were you awake after 22 august 14th when you went to bed? Maybe you were faking being asleep or something?” asked Hartsaga.
“I didna fake anything. I was sleeping tight. I woke up at 7. And then woke you up, remember?” said the grandma.
The grandma looked at Salim who was in the background and yelled “If you think ma boy is some criminal, you’re sorely mistaken! Stop spewing and let ma boy go, okay?”
“I don’t decide that, ma'am” said Salim calmly.
The call ended and Hartsaga looked back at the cops with a nervous face.
“Come on, you can’t jail me because of lack of alibis!” grumbled Hartsaga.
“Yeah. just because we don’t have an alibi doesn’t mean we’re the culprit!” yelled Milmar.
Klancy scratched his hair and strolled around the room.
“Still doesn’t change that it’s one of you. I don’t think we made any mistakes during our investigation.” said Salim.
Hui Ying looked through her top info tech of both of the suspects and pondered.
“Hmm, Hartsaga graduated from the computer science class of Rigardos and Milmar learned it on their own. Nah, there is nothing here that can prove to be a motive.” said Hui Ying with frustration.
Klancy looked at the two with seriousness then sighed. He activated his radio and said “I want two cops here at Kimtaisher district, Dangon street, flat 30 door number A25. We have two suspects but we don’t have enough evidence to convict them.”
They waited for a while until the two cops came. Klancy looked through the truth files while Hui Ying strolled around with puffy cheeks. Suddenly Klancy’s eyes widened and he jumped up to his feet.
“Wait a minute. This evidence. This evidence proves that Harjal lied!” grunted Klancy.
“What? What are you talking about?” said Harjal with anger from behind his desk.
Salim quickly got up to his feet. Harjal also approached them after going around his desk.
“This evidence is the proof you lied” said Klancy as he showed a picture from his tech to Harjal.
“Give me that!” grunted Harjal and extended his arm but Klancy raised his arm up.
“No taking. Look at it.” said Klancy.
Hui Ying, Manish and Salim gathered to look at the picture.
In the picture was a young boy taking a selfie. But his head was only at one side of the picture. In the background a gray wavy-haired man was seen walking cluelessly.
“I-is that-” mumbled Hui Ying.
“Yes, it’s Amir.” said Klancy.
“Y-yeah. I guess it’s him. But so what?” asked Harjal.
“This picture was proven to be taken at 1:30 am. Your friend Amir claimed that he was with you at an apartment. But that clearly was a lie. Your alibi is false, Harjal” said Klancy.
“That's probably a relative. Yeah, it’s probably his twin brother or something” said Harjal while he awkwardly walked backwards.
Hui Ying and Manish approached Harjal. Harjal quickly ran towards the door but Oliga pushed him to the ground from behind and pulled his arm behind his back.
“Get off! What are you doing?” yelled Harjal.
“What are you doing, running from the cops? Unless you contributed to the killings, you should have no reason to escape!” cried Oliga with frustration.
“It’s not like that. I…” grunted Harjal.
Klancy looked through his top info tech and said “Amir Zaki, Age 35, Works as a preacher for the Church of Hinokaiser. The only son of a single mother.”
“Church of Hinokaiser? Huh, I thought those guys were homophobic. I guess he was lying about having a relationship with Harjal” said Hui Ying.
“Possibly.” said Salim.
Salim walked over to Harjal, cuffed him and pulled him up.
“Hey, Klancy, we can arrest him now, right? Or do we need stronger proof than this?” asked Salim.
“We can and should arrest him. He deliberately misled us cops. We should find Amir Zaki and arrest him as well. Both of them are suspicious.” said Klancy.
The two cops came just in time to take away Harjal. Klancy’s team rode in their car, tailing after the car Harjal was in. In the police station they put Harjal in an interrogation cell and when they exited Klancy saw Hellen, Galtomor, Joey and Fushichin.
