Hellen entered the room where Layla’s body was. The small blood pool from Layla’s head wound was still there but the two bodies were moved. Only white lines made of chalk remained in place.
The strange thing about the room was that there were two beds separate from each other.
Hellen wondered who this room could have belonged to.
“The other room with the Baelix likely belonged to Layla and her husband. So maybe this room is for Claire and Nina.” thought Hellen.
Hellen wandered around the room until she saw a part of the floorboard that was cut and smitered in a straight line. This cut was near the wardrobe.
Hellen observed the wardrobe quietly, examining its front and sides until she found out that behind the wardrobe there was a door.
“Oh!”
Hellen quickly went out and gathered the others. Hellen and Galtomor quickly pushed the wardrobe to the side to reveal the door hiding behind it.
Fushichin pulled it open and entered, the others followed him.
There was nothing but piles of clothes amok on the ground as well as coats hooked on the wall.
A bit of movement happened within the clothes on the ground. Fushichin eagerly took off the top of the piles of clothes and a girl with dark hair revealed herself.
The girl yelled out in fear.
“Wow, chill chill!” yelled Fushichin.
Hellen quickly sat in front of the girl and grabbed her shoulders.
“It’s okay. We’re not here to hurt you. We’re the police. We’re here to investigate your mother’s death.”
The girl’s eyebrows rose in shock.
“M-mom, d-died?!”
“Yeah, I’m sorry to tell you that. But it’s the truth.” said Hellen with sadness.
Immediately tears trickled in her eyes and the girl let out a whiny scream. Hellen hugged her tight. The others awkwardly watched.
After a few minutes of silence the girl was moved and sat on the nearest bed in the room.
“How long have you been trapped in that room?” asked Klancy.
“Mmm, dunno. Mom woke me up at midnight. Sis was up. Sis told me that there are dangerous people in the house and I needed to hide. Sis pushed me into that room and told me to hide under some clothes and she closed the door.” said Nina with sadness.
“So, did you follow everything she said?” asked Galtomor.
“N-not really. I went ahead and put my ear on the door without opening it.”
“Adda girl! Thanks to the power of disobedience, you might have heard something crucial!” yelled Fushichin happily.
“What did you hear exactly?” asked Salim.
“I put my ear on the door. Mom was talking to someone while screaming. Then scary gunshots went bam bam bam, like in movies! It was loud.” said Nina.

“How many shots?” asked Klancy.
“Many…Five or six, yeah.” said Nina.
“Did you continue on listening?” asked Galtomor.
“Yes. Then a man yelled, and I think I heard my sister yell as well. Then gunshots went bam bam again.”
“How many gunshots?” asked Salim.
“Two…no three shots went bam!”
Klancy walked away from the girl and up to the door. He examined the holes in the door carefully.
“What she says does make sense. The first six shots likely were the culprit shooting towards the door. There are six holes in the door including the three holes aimed towards the lock of the door, destroying it so they could enter the room” said Klancy.
“The other two were towards Layla’s head and the final one the phone, right?” asked Fushichin.
Klancy nodded.
Nina’s face immediately became grim, tears sparkled in her eyes.
“Sorry for the reminder but you gotta live with it. People die when they are killed.” said Fushichin as he sat next to the white lines indicating where the body was.
“Did you hear anything afterwards?” asked Hellen earnestly.
“Hmm, I heard someone talking.” said Nina musingly.
“Was it female or male?” asked Galtomor.
“Male.”
“Did you make out what they were saying?” asked Klancy.
“I think I did. It was a different voice than that of brother and father’s.” said Nina.
“The man said ‘ What happened? Did you finish whatever that was? ‘ “ said Nina.
“Huh.” pondered Fushichin.
“What could that mean?” pondered Juniper.
“I think it’s referring to Klied’s death. Maybe the person was asking if their ally had finished off Klied.” said Hellen.
Juniper nodded.
“Okay, anything else?” asked Hellen from Nina.
“After that it became silent. I didn’t hear much else. I was scared of getting out so I just hid into the clothes.” said Nina as she looked down.
Hellen walked around the room contemplatively. She opened up her topinfo tech and scrolled through it. She then went over to Nina.
“Hey, we found this person in this house. Who is he?” asked Hellen as she showed her Ritam’s picture.
“My dad.” said Nina casually.
“What do you mean?” grumbled Juniper.
“Isn’t Klied your dad?” asked Galtomor.
“Yes. I have two dads. It’s a special thing only I have. That’s what mom said.” said Nina brightly.
“R-really?” pondered Juniper awkwardly.
“Yeah. Is it that weird? Hmm, Mom did say people wouldn’t understand, I guess that was true.” said Nina with a sad sassy tone.
But soon her eyes became shaky and she asked with concern “Are my dads okay?”
Juniper and Galtomor gulped at the statement and looked at one another awkwardly. Salim’s eyes darted away.
“They are dead. Your parents, your brother Francis, your sister Claire. Everyone died. You’re the only one who survived.” said Klancy.
Nina’s eyes widened and her lips shivered. She closed her eyes in despair and started to cry.
“It’s all right. I know things look bad but you gotta live on. Your parents would have wanted that too.” said Hellen as she held Nina’s hand in hers.
“Hey, kid. Is there any relative you would like to live with? Cause as things are as it is now.” said Galtomor and looked around the room for the chalk outlines of the two bodies.
“I…I want my mom back.” said Nina and started to weep.
Hellen quickly rushed to the kid’s side and sat beside her.
“That’s impossible. But It’s gonna be alright. I know how much it hurts you. So, just let it out.” said Hellen with a sad tone.
The kid cried and cried. Hellen wrapped her arm around her back and pulled her close to her.
Klancy left the girl with Hellen and exited the room to enter the bedroom that has the Baelix.
Galtomor, Fushichin and Salim rushed after him.
Hui Ying and Manish were sitting in front of the computer.
“Any luck?” asked Galtomor.
“Yes, do not worry. I’ve figured it out. The Baelix was hacked. I ran an antivirus software and now the Baelix is working fine.” said Manish.
“Nevermind fixing it. Do you know how it was hacked and who hacked it?” asked Klancy.
“An application called Dots.exe was installed onto the Baelix. This was a program to make the Baelix become unresponsive to every command that comes to it from outside. After Dots.exe was installed, the Baelix would only take commands from Dots.exe. I’ve disabled the program and am looking at the code right now. There doesn’t seem to be anything to give out the IP address of the attacker. The code is written in Python.” said Manish.
“Oh please. You’ll never find the bastard that way. Instead I tried to find the uploader of the program. The Baelix visited a site called www.eclipseassault123548 and downloaded Dots.exe from there. It’s a personal website hosted on a privacy based website hoster called IDOHOW. So I couldn’t get the IP address of the hoster. But hey, it’s your job to shake the people working at IDOHOW for more info. ” explained Hui Ying.
“Right, tell us more about everything you know.” said Klancy.
“Yeah, such as how the Baelix ended up downloading the dots.exe program to begin with?” asked Fushichin.
