"We can't bend the truth. As detectives we have a duty to report the truth of a case, at all costs." said Klancy.

"Tch, if truth is gonna cause more suffering to happen then maybe lies are better." said Fushichin.

"You've decided to betray the principles of being a detective? Truth stands above all else. It is true that Hori killed Tenma. And she will be punished for it." said Klancy.

"How is your punishment gonna help anyone?" said Fushichin with a frown and continued "You can call your revenge fancy names like justice and lawful punishment. But it's all just a juicy lie you tell yourselves to soften your crimes."

"If you persist on running your mouth, I'll tie you up for disturbing our investigative work." said Klancy.

"Oh, we're against freedom of speech now? That's new." said Fushichin sarcastically.

Klancy gave him a deadly stare and pulled out his taser. Fushchin's eyes widened but Klancy aimed it towards Hellen.

"Move, or you'll regret it." said Klancy.

Hellen's face became pale but she stood there like a statue. Klancy's eyes narrowed and aimed the taser. Galtomor hopped towards Hellen. He then pulled her out of the way. Hellen did not resist but she did not cooperate either. And the only person stood in their way was Mew.

When Klancy got closer Hori stood up.

Mew yelled "I won't move, you'll have to get to her over my dead-"

Hori pushed Mew out of the way. Klancy shot the taser and the prongs hit Hori on her leg and abdomen. She sprawled to the ground and twitched there.

"Hori, Hori!" cried Mew as she reached out to Hori’s limp body and grabbed her hands.

"What are you doing? Pull Mew away, cuff the criminals." yelled Klancy.

Galtomor quickly moved. He pulled Mew away while Salim cuffed Hori. Klancy pulled Hori up with Salim.

"Bring Marian with you as well." said Klancy.

"Got it." said Juniper.

They dragged Hori out of the dining hall.

"No, please! Hori, NOOOOO!" yelled Mew.

Mew let out a violent scream and cried with despair. Juniper and Joey approached Marian.

"Why couldn't it just be me." said Marian somberly.

Marian was moved out of the dining hall by Joey and Juniper.

Klancy and Salim carried Hori and put her inside the police car. Marian was also carried away.

Hellen and Fushichin exited the mansion along with Galtomor. Hellen was a bit moody while Fushichin sighed and took a deep breath. He looked at the cloudy sky basked in orange above him.

"It's useless to feel depressed about things you can't change." said Fushichin.

"I...I just wanted to do the right things." said Hellen.

"Well, I don't think you were wrong. Not all laws are right." said Fushichin.

"But we don't have any right to break them. We can't just act on our own wills against the law." said Galtomor confidently next to them.

"If you're not gonna trust your own will, what else would you trust? Trust in laws made by idiotic politicians and ignorant masses? Don't make me laugh." muttered Fushichin with a mocking smile.

"You're not better than the people of this country and its laws. Stop acting so high and mighty.” said Galtomor.

Galtomor glared angrily at Fushichin and went away.

"Is there any point to our jobs, aside from getting checks and salaries?" said Hellen in a despairing tone.

"There is no point in anything. Things just happen. Why feel any attachment to it." said Fushichin blankly.

"I don't understand a single thing you just said. Why do you have to say some cryptic shit all the time." grumbled Hellen.

"Hey, I'm just here to confuse you all. That's all there is to it." said Fushichin with a smirk.

"Hey, you two, come on and hurry up." said Salim.

"Well, the team's calling. Come on, cheer up." said Fushichin slapped Hellen's back and grinned widely.

Hellen could only smirk at his goofy expression.

The two of them entered the car and all the police cars drove off, away from the moody mansion.
