Ch 27 – Detective’s trick

"Hey, hey, what are you all doing?" grunted Nile. He was tied up to an iron bar with his arms behind his back.

"Look, calm down, we just want to have a talk." said Klancy.

"Oh yeah? you talk to someone when they are tied up?" grunted Nile.

"This was just a precautionary measure. I'm sorry for making you lose comfort. So, first of all, what happened to your phone?" asked Klancy.

"You guys got my alibi. I said to that detective, Fushichin was it? That I lost my phone." asked Nile.

"Okay, okay." said Klancy.

Klancy took out the orb and asked “Is this your method of communicating with the kidnappers?"

"What?" gasped Nile.

"Explain!" ordered Klancy

"Hey, seriously, that's just a music player my friend gave me. If you press the button, the music player goes live. If I had my phone I could connect to that device wirelessly and play music on it. And when you press , the thing goes off. Come on, try it now." said Nile.

"Not taking that chance." said Klancy.

"No, how else am I supposed to prove my innocence to you?" asked Nile desperately.

"You aren't innocent. You bought the rabbit figure that contained the kidnapper inside of it." said Fushichin.

"Also, can you repeat the tale you told us about how you bought the rabbit, who visited you?" asked Fushichin.

"Oh, seriously, you guys forgot?" asked Nile.

The others looked at him with no remorse.

"Fine, I bought the rabbit figure from a shop called Tinder games. I don't know why it had a zipper and an empty space inside it! Maybe the shop owners are in on the kidnapping. Anyways, my friends Johnson Smith and Johan Lenin came to visit me on June 10th. I got drunk, passed out, when I woke up I realized my door was open. Someone could have entered my room and entered the bunny."

"That's hella convenient." complained Fushichin.

"That doesn't make what I said false." said Nile.

"Alright, alright. Let's calm down. Say it with me Nile, it's alright." said Fushichin solemnly.

"It's alright." repeated Nile.

"Everything is proceeding smoothly." said Fushichin.

"Everything is proceeding smoothly." repeated Nile.

"They are gone, forget all the bad things."

"They are gone, forget all the bad things."

"Success, money in the bag."

"Success, money in the bag. Look, are you done with the motivational stuff?" asked Nile with anger.

"We got off on bad terms. Let's reintroduce ourselves." said Fushichin.

"Huh?" gasped Nile.

"Hey, I just want a casual talk. Hello, I'm Fushichin. Who are you? Talk about yourself."" said Fushichin.

"Umm, my name is Nile Nelson. I'm 47 years old. I work at a pharmacy." said Nile.

"Go on." tempted Fushichin.

"I like to surf the net, watch tv shows and eat pancakes." said Nile.

"Good, good, Ask me how my girl is doing." said Fushichin.

"Umm, how is your girl doing?" said Nile.

"She isn't my girl, she is a an independent human being. Ask me how the girl is doing." said Fushichin.

"Alright, alright, how is the girl doing?" asked Nile.

"Perfect, I even asked her to come with me to a certain place. Ask me where did I go." said Fushichin.

"Where did you go?" asked Nile.

"To my house, with the girl. Come on, ask me what I did to the girl." said Fushichin.

"Umm, what did you do to the girl?" asked Nile.

"I...creamed her...with the cream from the cake we were eating." said Fushichin mischeviously.

"Come on, man." grumbled Nile.

"Now you wanna go to the toilet?" said Fushichin.

"Yes, I wanna go." said Nile.

"You do know that you need to say goodbye to someone when leaving the room, right?" said Fushichin.

"Umm, yeah." said Nile.

"Then say it." grunted Fushichin.

"Ugh, goodbye." grumbled Nile.

"Alright, alright. Come on, let's go." said Fushichin.

Fushichin left the room. The other four detectives followed him out of the room and only the confused and tied up Nile was left in the lab.

"Let's just hope that the recording isn't all messed up."

"Never have I been more happy that I use a good phone that has an editor and a great microphone." said Fushichin with a smile.

Fushichin brought out his phone and started cutting and editing the sound footage he had recorded during their conversation.

"You do realize we could just wait instead of doing something this risky, right? The forensic team still has yet to give us their report." said Galtomor.

"Yes, that's why you guys should help Fushichin edit the footage, come up with many different responses. We'll wait for the report and then try to contact the kidnappers." said Klancy.

About three hours have passed since they questioned Nile. And finally they received a call from Klancy's radio speaker.

Keinlee, one of the inspectors was the one to speak.

"Detective Klancy, reporting in. We just finished the forensic analysis from Nile's apartment. Nile's own fingerprints were on his cup and around the room. But more importantly fingerprints of a person named was found on one of the cups.

"Jackiel Wain, huh. Got it." said Klancy.

Klancy quickly opened up his topinfo tech and searched through the citizen registry list.

"Right, I found it." said Klancy.

He showed his topinfo tech to the other detectives. They read what was on the file.

"Jackiel Wain - Age 42 -

Graduated the highschool of Solonia at the age of 18.

Graduated the Bernard's boxing college at the age of 23.

Used to be in the national boxing club from the age 23-28.

Was sentenced for 10 years for brutally beating up a stranger at the age of 28.

Went out of prison at the age of 39.

Started his mini boxing club at the age of 40.”

"So, he is a boxing expert?" pondered Hellen.

"A former criminal." said Salim.

Klancy pressed the buttons on his radio system.

"Klancy reporting. I need the cyber investigators to locate Jackiel Wain and his actions from the evening of June 11th to the morning of June 12th. Search the cameras around the area of the bar Bigdunk, as a hint. He may have been there." said Klancy.

"Roger that." that came a voice from the recorder.

After that was silence.

"Ugh, we waited for so long. It's almost evening. If we wait for too long, we might lose our chance to call them." said Hellen.

"What? You think kidnappers work during the day shift?" asked Fushichin.

"I mean, they have to do something to make ends meet, right?" pondered Hellen but she quickly shook her head and said "Ugh, and it doesn't matter. Nile himself probably would call them during the day."

"Fine, fine. What's your opinion on this Klancy?" asked Fushichin.

"Let's do it." said Klancy.
