Hellen went over to the right wing. She saw a door that was closed and in front of the door were 3 shell cases. Fushichin and Juniper came after her and they picked up the cases and entered the room. She searched the room and found the body.
The middle aged man’s body was behind the bed. And was slumped there uncomfortably. Hellen inspected the body closely. The body had 1 bullet wound on the shoulder and 2 on the forehead.
“Horrible.” said Hellen.
“Is it more horrible than the other bodies that we found? If it’s not, it would be pretty annoying if you keep wailing everytime we find a dead body.” said Fushichin sarcastically.
Hellen scanned the victim’s face with her topinfo tech and looked at the man’s face.
“The victim’s name is Klied (Herelson) Matilda. Layla’s husband.” said Hellen.
Fushichin walked around the bed back and forth and found two bullet holes on the bed.
“One bullet hole on the side of the doorway and another on top of the bed.” said Fushichin.
Fushichin went over to the wall and pressed the light switch on and off. Nothing happened.
“Hey look.” said Juniper from outside of the room.
Fushichin walked over to her.
“There are bullet holes on the walls” said Juniper and pointed towards the upper side of the wall and a hole around her waist height.
“Interesting.” said Fushichin..
Fushichin took a picture of the holes and with a gloved hand took the bullets out of the holes in the wall and put them inside a protective bag.
The bullets had a golden tint and were longer than the one Hellen and he had found from the flashlight.
“Hey, these bullets are similar to the ones we found in the wall at the corner of the hallway, right?” asked Fushichin.
“Yes. And I think the bullets are from magnums, given that it’s much longer than bullets of a glock” asked Juniper.
“Oh, so you know? My my, you’ve been doing your homework.” said Fushichin.
“Are you underestimating me?” grumbled Juniper.
“Judging from all the positions of these bullet holes, the victim and the culprit likely had a showdown. The bullets in the wall were likely caused by someone firing from inside the room while the bullet holes on the bed were caused by someone shooting from outside of the room. The bullets in the corner of the hallway must have also been the victim’s doing. Maybe he fired at the culprits.” said Fushichin.
“Then where is the gun the victim was using?” asked Juniper.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“Taken away by the culprit or culprits, I presume.” said Fushichin.
He then entered the room with Juniper. They encountered Hellen who was collecting the shell casings scattered in the room for evidence.
The three of them exited the room. They searched around Ritam’s body once again.
“Galtomor deduced that Ritam was crouching, that’s why the gun trajectory came from above. Why was he crouching?” pondered Hellen.
“Dunno.” said Fushichin as he waved his flashlight around. Suddenly his eyes fell on something and he went down the stairs. On the staircase landing was a silver pin. Fushichin grabbed it off the floor. The hole of the pin was just big enough for his finger to enter.
“What did you find?” asked Hellen.
“A pin. Let’s just put it in a plastic bag.” said Fushichin and did as he said.
Juniper looked at the pin and contemplated for a while then said “Hey, maybe that’s related to what Klancy and I found. There were grey plastics scattered around the floor.”
“Oh, I see. Likely that was a flashbang then. Judging by how the pin was thrown here. Maybe the culprit threw the flashbang from here.” said Fushichin.
“That’s why Ritam had a wound on top of his head! He was blinded by the flashbang and was sitting on the ground in pain. That’s when the culprit shot him.” said Hellen.
“Yes. That makes sense. I do wonder where the culprit got the flashbang from? Did they make it or…” said Fushichin.
Nobody finished his sentence. Fushichin looked a bit disappointedly at them. The three of them went to the left wing of the building and entered the 1st bedroom.
There they found Galtomor sitting in front of a computer, Klancy and Salim standing next to him.
“Goddammit, it’s not working. The stupid thing keeps rejecting my commands.” grumbled Galtomor.
“Maybe it’s bugged or something? Let’s try restarting the Baelix?” asked Klancy.
Klancy went over to the Baelix and pressed on the off switch on the back and the blue light on it turned off.
Just then Fushichin curiously pressed on the light switch and the lights came on with a flash.
“What the?!” gasped Hellen.
“Oh?” gasped Fushichin.
“Huh, did the electricity come back?” asked Salim.
“Hmm, is that really it?” pondered Klancy.
Klancy turned on the Baelix again by changing the switch from off to on. When the Baelix turned on, giving out a blue light, the lights of the room turned off.
“Oops, the lights are gone again” said Fushichin.
“I-it’s not the lights. This Baelix, it’s turning the lights off itself.” said Klancy.
He turned off the Baelix, in return the lights turned on again.
“Wait, that means Baelix is issuing commands to turn the lights off!” yelled Galtomor.
“Can it do that?” asked Juniper.
“Yes, it says here that the Baelix has control over the door locks, the lights, the washing machine. The family definitely gave access to it.” said Galtomor.
“Can you stop the Baelix from issuing commands that turn off the lights?” asked Klancy.
“I-I can’t. It’s not responding for some reason. I can’t take access away from the Baelix or command it. Maybe the Baelix is hacked!” said Galtomor.
“I’ll call Manish and Hui Ying“ said Klancy.
He turned on his radio transmitter and spoke through it.
After that was done, they went around the rooms collecting shell casings that had scattered around the mansion.
The police car came and Manish and Hui Ying exited the car with a few other policemen. The six detectives gave the shell casings to the cops.
The medical team gave basic autopsies to the detectives and carried the 5 bodies one by one into the car with the cops.
Layla, Claire, Klied, Francis, Ritam were presumed to all have died between 1:00 to 2:30 AM.
The detectives went back into the mansion with Manish and Hui Ying. Now with the lights of the rooms on.
Hellen looked at her top info tech weirdly and said:
“I’ve been looking through anything I can find about Layla and the people involved. It says here that Layla and Klied have three children. Francis, Claire and Nina. But we didn’t find Nina’s body did we?”
“Yes. Maybe her body is outside the mansion” said Klancy.
“Or maybe she survived!” yelled Hellen.
“Yeah, no time to waste, let’s search this place.” said Fushichin.
The detectives split up and searched the mansion.
