"You idiot, that's not gonna work." grunted Galtomor with aggression.
“Huh?” gasped Fushichin.
"The culprit can't escape that way! The master keycard was found on Tenma's body, remember? Let's say the culprit used his master keycard and locked the balcony. But there is no way for them to put the master keycard back into Tenma’s pocket." explained Galtomor.
"And when I entered to find Tenma's body, I distinctly remember that the balcony door was locked." said Marian with confidence.
"Damn, there goes that idea. Is there any way to cheat the camera of the garage?" asked Fushichin.
"No, there isn't. It would be a lousy security if that was the case." said Marian.
Fushichin and Salim pondered silently while Hellen, Klancy, Galtomor scrolled through the truth files.
"Hey, wait, this is it! I found a way the kidnapper could have exited the mansion with Hori." yelled Hellen and got up to her feet.
"Really?" gasped Klancy.
"Which exit they used then?" asked Salim hastily.
"They used the garage." said Hellen with big eyes.
"Have you been paying attention? Marian said there is no way to cheat the camera!" grunted Salim.
"But there is! The camera only sees what is inside the garage. If you can conceal yourself you can trick the garage camera." said Hellen.
The others became thoughtful. Hellen further added "And something suspicious that was concealed was captured on the footage."
"Oh, you're talking about the trolley?" said Galtomor.
"Oh yeah, that was kinda big enough for someone to get inside huh." said Fushichin with a smile.
"George you put a white sheet on the trolley, didn’t you?" asked Hellen quickly.
"Yeah, I did that." said George.
"That's it! That has to be it. It perfectly conceals what is inside the trolley." said Hellen.
"You seriously think Hori was inside the trolley while I carried it back to Mikhail's car?" asked George with a surprise.
"Hmm, yeah, that does kinda make you sus now doesn't it?" said Fushichin with a frown.
"Huh?" gasped George.
"Think about it, bringing such a large trolley out in the open. Yeah, you said you used it to carry chemicals, but did it really need to be that big?" asked Fushichin.
"I didn't have anything else." said George.
"George, when did you pull off the sheet and check the chemicals again?" asked Galtomor.
"When I got to my house." said George.
"Actually, I was the one to check the trolley before George." said Mikhail.
The others moved their attention to him.
"It was after we went into the bar. We got hella drunk. We exited the bar and entered my car." explained Mikhail.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Drinking despite driving. Fantastic." said Salim with a frown.
"I didn't drink much, I promise. I pulled the white sheet off from the trolley and put it on Nile and George. Hori was not inside the trolley then." said Mikhail.
Silence took over the room. Klancy tapped on the table with his nails.
"Where is that bar?" asked Klancy.
"It's called Bigdunk, pretty popular for people who appreciate good liquor. Located at Chichuin district." said Mikhail.
Klancy contacted the police station on his radio transmitter and said “I need you to check the recordings of the cameras that are nearby Bigdunk bar on June 12th, 2 AM to 3 AM. It's located at Chichuin district. Check for a white cargo car."
"Understood." said from the other side of the transmitter.
"I'm still unsure if this is the right answer. Why would Hori go to the trolley on her own and enter it?" asked Salim.
"Who said Hori entered the trolley herself? Most likely she was forced to, by the kidnapper." mumbled Klancy
"So, you're saying that Hori was inside the trolley with the kidnapper?" asked Salim.
"Hmm, maybe?" said Klancy pondering.
"Oh, so you don't have evidence? And you're claiming such things with a big boy voice." said Fushichin sarcastically.
"Shut up, this is our only lead." grumbled Klancy.
"Okay, sure. Supposedly if someone went inside the trolley with Hori, then that someone couldn't be any of the suspects here. Since that person has to stay with Hori until George, Mikhail, Nile all of them entered Bigdunk." said Fushichin.
"That's true. But think about it from this way. What if the kidnapper didn't enter the trolley with Hori? The kidnapper also has to be the one to open the van and let Hori escape." claimed Salim proudly.
His expression sharpened and Salim yelled "Only one person from the suspects is capable of this. It's Mikhail. He can put Hori in the trolley, make George put the trolley in his car. And later when George and Nile were asleep, he opened the backdoor of his cargocar and let one of his partners take Hori. Does this sound plausible?"
"It sounds fine." said Hellen, defeated.
"No, it doesn't have to be that way.” yelled Mikhail frantically and claimed “My car's cargo door can be opened from the inside with a lever. And if you push the cargo door back, it'll automatically get locked. It's not the most secure design. But you can check if you want. What I'm getting at is that-"
"No need to. Because I have doubts about Mikhail's chances." said Galtomor and moved his eyes towards George and boomed "Hey, George, you said Mikhail departed with you from the dining hall at 20 pm. Exactly when at 20 pm?"
"My memory is kinda hazy. Maybe 20:20 or 20:30." said George.
"I personally remember it as 20:30." said Mikhail.
"If I remember correctly Mikhail was tampering with the pc in the inspection room starting from 20:40 to 23:20."
"Wait, what?" gasped Marian.
"Yeah, why was he tampering with dad's stuff?" gasped Succi.
"I umm, hmm." grumbled Mikhail.
"He was trying to know what research Tenma was working on and possibly steal it." said Galtomor.
"That's horrible!" yelled Mew.
"Mikhail, really?" gasped George.
Salim grabbed his hair and aggressively yelled "Ugh, shut up, all of you! Yeah, Mikhail was tampering with the pc. But Mikhail is still bullshitting. In reality he departed from George at 20:20. He drugged and put Hori inside the trolley and entered the inspection room, just in time to start hacking at 20:40.
"No, I didn't have twenty minutes to do this. I definitely departed with George at 20:30." said Mikhail.
"George?" asked Salim.
"Umm, I'm not super sure. It was definitely between 20:20 to 20:30." said George.
"Ugh." grumbled Klancy.
"Even if it's 20 minutes, there is no way for him to find where Hori exactly was, drug her, carry her and put her inside the trolley in twenty minutes." claimed Galtomor.
"Yes, there is. It is possible." said Salim.
"Okay, then remember the fact that he had to have been inside the inspection room to boot up the pc. So, he might have needed to be at the inspection room starting from 20:35. And not only did he gamble on Nile and George sleeping in the van and not notice him moving Hori" said Galtomor while frowning.
"Ahh, that's-" fumbled Salim
"Not to mention the fact that he didn't have means to enter Mew's room. Without entering Mew's room he can't use the hole to enter Hori's room." yelled Galtomor.
"We established this. Hori used the hole and exited through Mew's door. Maybe Hori was up to something sinister." said Salim.
"No, not according to recent findings. We got footage, proving that she was kidnapped. And her working with Joseph was just a bogus theory to begin with, made by none other than Fushibitch." said Galtomor.
"KEKW." said Fushichin happily.
"Wait? What hole are you talking about?" asked Marian.
"Oh dear." gasped Mew.
"Right, you guys aren't caught up on that." said Fushichin lazily.
Fushichin explained the hole to Marian.
"So those two, they really gone and did it. Just to do lewd and sinful stuff behind our backs." hissed Marian.
"Ugh, dammit. Fine, I think we need more time to investigate and think things through." said Salim, he seemed pissed off.
