The chase lasted for about an hour. After the tires of his car were shot, the criminal fired back with his gun. But his ammo quickly ran out, giving him no choice but to surrender. The five detectives brought the criminal to jail. They testified as to what had happened and were sent back to their home to rest. After that little break they were sent back to investigate the case of Tenma and his missing daughter Hori on June 13th, Monday, 11 AM.
When they arrived, Joey notified them that the suspects were all gathered. But he also showed them a black colored video tape.
"You might want to look at this, all five of you." said Joey.
The five detectives along with Joey, went to the recroom. Joey put the tape inside the disk player and pushed play.
The video played, showcasing a brown haired and blue eyed girl, tied up on a chair. She had a depressed and somber look.
"M-my name is Hori...Sushihara. The people who have captured me, t-they want 3 million dollars. And they want...the police to stop their investigation. Please, let my mother Marian deliver the money to Aoimichigan forest by herself in cash on June 19th. There is a walkie talkie that should have come along with this message. Give that to Marian on the day of the delivery and further instructions will be given from it.
If the police try to intercept the meeting in any way or try to monitor the forest, I will be killed. P-please bring the money, and save me.”
The video ended, only a static sound played on the tv.
"How did the police get their hands on this tape?" asked Klancy.
"I was standing guard outside the mansion when a kid came up to me. He gave me a box, saying that a man wearing glasses and a coat wanted to deliver this to the people of this mansion." said Joey frantically and added "I unsuspectingly took this box, the police checked the inside before showing it to the members of the household. Only the household members know about this video."
"Hmm." grumbled Klancy seriously.
"So, what do we do now? They have leverage. If the kidnappers know that we're continuing the investigation, something bad could happen to Hori." said Galtomor with despair.
"But we can't just do everything they say! If Marian alone goes into that forest, she'll be kidnapped as well. Damn it, those bastards are the lowest of the low!" cried Hellen while gritting her teeth.
"Heh, it is interesting. How will they know if we're continuing the investigation or not tho?" asked Fushichin.

"I'm assuming they have secret spies in this neighborhood. That's how they delivered this tape, right?" said Salim.
"Yes, but there may be one other method they could be using. One or maybe more than one suspect in this house is relaying info to them." said Klancy.
The others were surprised by this theory but they seemed to quickly accept it.
"With this video, we now know that Hori didn't just escape this mansion on her own. Someone has to have kidnapped her from this mansion, no? That someone is working with a group to get the money." said Klancy.
"So, we have to keep an eye on the suspects more now?" asked Galtomor.
"Precisely." said Klancy.
The six of them exited the recroom and moved towards the floors and gathered up the police members. Quickly they formed a plan. Every investigator would leave this mansion with their cars. They would cut and take away the yellow tape surrounding the mansion and make it seem as if the investigation is over. Only five people from the police will be left and they would operate inside the mansion without leaving it and wear regular clothes.
These five were Klancy, Fushichin, Hellen, Galtomor, Salim. However, the guests were not allowed to leave. They would stay in the mansion along with the assigned team and would not leave their sight.
Joseph, Jack, Reiner and Yumiko sat on the other side of the room, on the sofa. Some of them, such as George and Nile complained about the detainment.
"Hey, we can't do that. We have friends and family. Jobs to attend to." said George.
"Yeah, yeah. How do you expect us to just live here." grunted Nile.
"A human being's life is on the line. Quit being a pain in the ass or you'll be sorry!" yelled Klancy.
With that said the detectives began their work.
"Do we have to be this vary? A few more policemen could have definitely helped the case. We still haven't cracked that protected file on Tenma's pc, right?" said Fushichin.
"We'll call a computer expert through the internet. Hopefully, Galtomor might crack it with an instruction from them." said Klancy urgently.
"Man, that sounds silly." grumbled Galtomor.
"So, any ideas on how we should catch the kidnappers?" asked Fushichin.
"Can't we try to track down the sender of the footage?" said Hellen.
"How exactly? That would require us getting out of this mansion and trying to question that kid who gave Joey the tape." said Salim aggressively.
"I guess that would just make it obvious we're still on the case then, huh" said Fushichin with sadness.
"Disregarding that, can we even catch that person? Seems pretty hard." sighed Salim.
"If we knew who kidnapped Hori, how Hori was kidnapped, where she was lead to, it could give us a hint. And we can't make an all out search without alerting the kidnappers. So we have to know their exact location and make the raid team move quickly and precisely." said Klancy confidently.
"Ugh, we can't accomplish anything if we keep worrying about that. Hori will be fine, if she is killed, the kidnappers can't get their money." said Fushichin.
"That's wrong! Her safety is top priority, you monster!" yelled Mew.
"Man, you're annoying. I reminisce the old days when we could call you and send you away whenever we wanted." complained Fushichin.
But his eyes quickly lit up and he said happily "And speaking of reminiscing, hey couldn't just someone carry Hori out through the balcony?"
"They would need a master keycard." said Marian.
"They got it after killing Tenma. They killed Tenma, got the master keycard from his body, carried Hori out onto the balcony, locked the balcony from outside. And then descended to the ground with a rope or something. Pretty cool theory, don't you think?" said Fushichin and winked at his fellow detectives.
There was a slight silent pause.
