A bit later after I recovered from my injury, I walked outside the building happy that I wasn’t crippled for life. And even if it did happen I would hold no grudge towards the princess, not because she’s the princess, but because I don’t like having grudges as they cloud your judgment.
Anyways, currently I am taking a break. The next class wasn’t in a half an hour so I had time to chill. The academy seemed to be more than willing to have less classes if that meant students learn more. This was seen as a win-win for both sides so it got implemented years ago.
“Haah, finally found you, Taetel,” said a student, heavily breathing.
“Oh, hello, Nelson,” I replied.
“It’s been some time since we saw each other,” he said, getting his normal breathing back.
“True, the only explanation for it is because one of us is in a lower class than another.”
“Yeah, about that,” Nelson muttered, attacking his cheek.
“Hm?”
“I’m in Class F,” he revealed, not making eye contact.
“That makes sense since I’m in Class B,” I responded, sitting near one of the benches outside.
“Wow, you’re the real deal!” Nelson exclaimed, patting my back, grinning.
“Not really,” I said, not changing my expression.
Sitting next to me, Nelson discussed how his classes went. According to him all the people in Class F were outcasts, most of them looked like average background characters. But what surprised him is how anti-social they were. Even though he tried to start conversations with many of them, none of them answered.
“As much as I hate to say, they all seemed stuck up. Like if they thought they were something. This is no way how students of that class should be behaving,” he reasoned.
“That is indeed strange, one would assume most will have self esteem issues.”
Or maybe they do, but are hiding by acting like that.
As we were discussing the class an explosion was in the vicinity of the front building. We looked at each other and wasted no in going to investigate the commotion.
Running we came to a very familiar situation, a certain red-haired student was shouting. “Huh!? Who the hell are you!? Answer me!” He swung his arm in pure anger.
A student with messy dark purple hair, seemed unfazed by this and stretched his arm. “Touya Amagiri, nice to meet you.”
“Why, you…!” Lester slapped his hand away.
Observing the situation closer this so-called Amagiri guy was standing in front of the girl I knocked out on my first day of school. She cowered away in fear as he protected her. There was also another guy standing next to Lester attempting his best to calm him down.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
I saw someone next to me who I didn’t expect to see. “Hm? What are you doing here?” I asked the maroon hair girl.
“I happened to sense a familiar mana so I came to check on it,” she responded, arms crossed.
This girl was none other than Abigail Basset. To think I would encounter her in this situation. Nonetheless, she said she felt familiar mana…
“So you know who’s mana it was,” I asked.
“Yeah, it’s hers,” she responded, pointing at the girl I beat up.
Wait…I…is this what I think it is?
“Tell me her name,” I demanded, surprising her.
“It’s Yukiko Yabuki, why?”
What?
…
This is a game changer…
I scanned my eyes to my surroundings, I could see countless students approaching us. Abigail also noticed this as she bit her lip, Nelson wryly smiled.
“Tch, they got us good,” I chuckled, cracking my knuckles.
I walked towards Lester, placing my hand on his shoulder. The more attentive I was the more I found foul play, some sort of spell was amplifying Lester’s emotion. I knew this wasn’t normal, there was no way he would be this irrational. No wonder he calmed down as soon as I knocked her out.
When using advanced spells like this, you would need to be using it for years to get close to these results. Even better if you started when the victim was a child. They tend to have lower magical resistance due to their mana being increased as they age. When you reach the age of twelve, mind control spells are rendered useless.
But this isn’t one, that’s why it’s working to its full capacity. I attempted to expel the mana, but to no avail. I would need to get to the root of it, unfortunately I couldn’t as we were being surrounded as I poured mana into his brain.
He should be able to return to normal for about forty five seconds after that he will return to his enraged state. I should’ve noticed the situation once I heard the surname Amagiri.
“Those students are from Class F!” Nelson exclaimed, clutching his head in fear.
According to Nelson all fifteen students, not including Yukiko and Touya, were from the same class. Somehow they have gotten together in less than a day.
“What about the purple-haired guy? Do you recognize him?” I asked for more information.
“Haha, he is. He somehow beat all of us in the sparring match!” He anxiously chuckled.
As each of the students are from the worst class, we should be able to beat all of them. The only one who might cause trouble is Touya. It was Lester, his friend, Abigail, Nelson and me against seventeen students.
“Hey, Touya. How about you stop this before someone gets seriously hurt,” I said, not panicking.
“I’m sorry, but I’m going to protect her at all costs. Especially against him,” he smiled, but then glared at Lester.
“What’s your problem?” he responded in disgust.
There isn’t any way to avoid this battle. I’m not even a hundred percent healthy as my mana is depleted from removing the amplifier and my body is still sore from the previous mock battle. Luckily the students didn’t have any weapons. Which was kind of stupid, but an advantage for us.
“Well, then get prepared to get fucking destroyed. You wannabe main character,” I mocked, looking down at him in a condescending way.
His eyes went wide open at my remark.
If he wants to be the main character so badly then I’ll be the main antagonist.
However, his story won’t have a happy ending.
