Something must’ve happened to Mitsugi since I don’t remember him ever having a screw loose. Or maybe I didn’t observe him for too long, it has been only a week. There wasn’t much I could do about it.
But that’s all besides the point. Mitsugi really wants us to fight another group of students. Who would do something like that? All four of us have a certain degree of injuries, so we’ll be at a clear disadvantage. If only there was a healer then I would’ve understood a bit of his logic.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think we should,” I said, the first to disagree. “Personally if there was a healer then I would’ve joined, but none of us have any healing abilities.”
“Damn. You got a point,” replied Mitsugi as he scratched his head in embarrassment.
He sighed, seemingly about to take back his words. Just as Mitsugi was ready to drop the subject, Raymond raised his hand. He had a confident smile.
“Heh. I’m the healer you all been waiting for,” he uttered, smirking.
“Oh, heal us so we can beat up more students!” Mitsugi exclaimed, punching his palm.
“Hahaha. That’s right. You have no objections, Daisuke?” Raymond turned to his friend, and inquired.
“That’s fine. I feel like going home as the winner,” he responded, smiling.
“All right then,” he whispered.
He held his palms out and closed his eyes. Soon a very familiar green light engulfed the area. The bruises on our faces disappeared, though it didn’t feel like it. If we had sustained more severe injuries then this healing wouldn’t be enough. Luckily it was simple tiny bruises from fighting.
The two second years took the lead, walking in front of us. Mitsugi and I followed them as we made our way outside. I cracked my knuckles, getting them ready.
Are we really doing this?
You know, I’m not really keen on fighting…
But…
It can be like that sometimes…
“Since the disciplinary committee is detecting me by my mana, we have little time before they find out. Let’s hurry,” said Raymond as he began sprinting.
“How are we even going to find people to fight?” Mitsugi asked as if he wasn’t the one who suggested the idea.
“It should be pretty easy in my opinion. The disciplinary committee forces are split, meaning that second and third year students are bound to find out sooner and later. They’ll take advantage of the situation. In fact—look!” Daisuke shouted, pointing at a group of students.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
We stopped to catch our breaths. In the meantime we observed what Daisuke pointed to. A group of five male students could be seen surrounding a female student. The presumably leader seemed to be saying something, though the looks of it weren't any pleasant given her uncomfortable expression.
“I always wanted to save a damsel in distress.”
“Ain’t no way you said that.”
We continued to observe the situation a bit before we stepped in. I adjusted my uniform to look more well mannered. The second year took the lead, while we followed.
We made sure to make a grand entrance because first impressions are really important.
But more importantly reputation.
“Now, what do we have here? Harassment towards a student isn’t allowed. Care to explain yourselves?“ I said, gathering all the attention towards us.
“Huh—?”
The leader, I assume, glared at me but when he saw the number of students next to me, his glare subsided. He probably understood the situation. Even though he wasn’t outnumbered, the match up didn’t give much of an advantage. The female student would probably also join our side so that would make it an even five against five.
When his gaze met our upperclassmen, he smirked, regaining his glare. He clearly had a superior air to him. This made the atmosphere tense.
“Raymond and Daisuke, huh…? It appears that you got yourself more pets for your Mistress. How pathetic,” he sneered.
“That’s where you're wrong,” I answered, running my hand through my hair. “They’re no longer affiliated with that hysterical bitch. So how about you shut your fucking mouth before you make yourself look even more retarded,” I said, glaring back, standing my ground.
“Hahahahaha! That’s fucking the stupidest shit, I’ve heard! If it’s true, do you know what will happen to you low standing beings?” The leader mocked.
Since Raymond and Daisuke were in front of me, I couldn’t see the expression on their faces. I could see that Mitsugi stared at me with a peculiar apathetic attitude. Mitsugi surprisingly kept his mouth shut and observed the situation, not making any rash decisions.
“Sucks to be from Class D and E. You should learn from us since we’re all from Class 2-C and our boss is from Class 2-B,” said one of the students in the group.
Seems like this will be a difficult fight. Not to mention how since we’re in an open field, magic will definitely be put in use. As much as I would like to say we don’t have a chance, it doesn’t matter to me.
I know we’ll be victorious.
“Enough talking, I can’t stand waiting any longer,” he stared at the girl before his eyes darted back to us. “As such, I‘ll be dealing with you four.”
“Alone? Seems like one doesn’t understand their situation,” Mitsugi shot back.
“You dogs should shut the fuck up and listen to your masters. However, your masters are acting more like dogs than you two. All quiet and docile. Why don’t you speak up?”
True, both Raymond and Daisuke haven’t said anything so far. The confidence when we first fought was nowhere to be seen. It was as if an invisible force prevented them from doing so, but I knew that it wasn’t anything to do with magic.
If it was then I would’ve detected something by now. It was more of a mental issue for them. They appeared to have history with the leader which would explain their actions.
“Fuck you.”
“Hm?”
“I said fuck you, you son of bitch!” Daisuke shouted.
