Truthfully there wasn’t any option left for me. Escape was out of the question. Think about it, I’m injured and I’m up against someone who is possibly stronger than me. It’s almost guaranteed at this point, she did find my location pretty fast.
I don’t think that anything I do will get me out of this unscave. So, I just sighed and let her lead me to wherever they wanted to take me.
“Look, I won’t make any rash decisions like them. So, at the very least, can I walk by myself?” I asked.
“Fine,” she replied, losing strength in her grip.
When she let me go, my muscle immediately twitched, signaling a possible attack. She reacted, grabbing my wrists once again. I could feel her glare as she put more force this time.
“I’m an injured person, how is my body not supposed to react in pain?” I said, looking forward.
“Hm…You got a point, my bad.”
And she let me go once again. I walked beside her as she led me to the rest of the disciplinary committee. When I was escorted back to them, the group of students I fought were nowhere to be seen. Not even Mitsugi or the rest could be seen nearby.
Where could they possibly have gone? Well, the most logical conclusion was that they were taken somewhere else. Some students from the disciplinary committee seemed to be gone.
“Huh? Why are you with a student?” One of them asked.
“He tried to escape,” she said, pushing me a little.
“What are you talking about? I wasn’t doing anything of that sort. In fact, I was the one who helped you, right?“ I said, leaving her location.
“Where do you think you’re going!” The girl exclaimed as she grabbed me again.
Another female student approached me as she observed me. She nodded to herself as she went towards the grey haired girl.
“He should be fine. I don’t sense any serious injuries,” she said.
“I see.”
She then turned to me. “Well, let’s take you back to the academy. Then we’ll discuss the situation.”
“Fine by me,” I replied.
I limped once before I walked normally. This didn’t go unnoticed as the grey haired girl stared at the girl who previously talked. She averted her gaze as she awkwardly laughed.

“I did say there were no serious injuries. I never said anything about his current condition.”
The leader of the disciplinary committee didn’t say anything further, instead walking towards the academy.
Though I did hear something breaking.
But that could have very well been my imagination.
Anyways, I was escorted to the very same room from the precious battle. This time however, the room was filled with a group of people. It wasn’t the second year that I fought, but another group of students.
They all were uniform so I couldn’t tell the reason for them being her. I looked back at one of the members only to have them shake their heads.
They weren’t very helpful. Well, all of my concern didn’t matter as I was ultimately led to another room of similar structure. I sat down on the only chair available. The room was pretty empty with only a chair and a table being the only furniture present.
I let my head rest on the table, the students escorting me had gone elsewhere. All I could do was wait until someone arrived. I couldn’t sleep so I tried to rest in different positions.
For some reason they left me here alone. If I wanted to I could escape, but is that really the case? I doubt they would actually leave me without nobody guarding the entrance.
Although I didn’t commit any crimes, that doesn't mean I can do whatever I want. There’s still rules in place to prevent such actions. But there are clear exceptions to the rules. As many would immediately think, those who hold the most power are the ones who evaded punishment.
I tapped my finger on the table, killing time. My injuries still bothered me so while I wanted to rest, the pain throughout my body made it difficult. I crossed my arms to get more comfortable, I wanted to rest after all.
Soon a single student entered the room, the very same girl who caught me from escaping was the one who apparently was my interrogator. I held the sign that I was about to do. I wasn’t about to disrespect the one who held the verdict.
Why am I sounding like I committed a crime? It isn’t that serious.
“Hello, I know it’s kind of late for introductions, but bear with me. I’m Irma Evelyn, nice to meet you,” she said, offering me a handshake.
“Taetel Chaim, it’s a pleasure,” I responded, taking the handshake.
She acted quite casually with me. One would expect a more extreme attitude. She sat down, moving her chair at the edge of the table. She adjusted her ruby hair, patting the table. She crossed her arms, staring at me with her castleton green almond shaped eyes.
“I don’t want to make things too complicated so we’ll start by hearing an explanation from you,” she said.
“Okay.”
I then began to explain the whole situation, elaborating on the more crucial parts. She nodded once in a while, asking simple questions like “could you elaborate” or “are you sure?”. After the whole explanation, she mused to herself.
“I assume you know that this is your second time being involved in a fight, no?”
“Yes, but both times were to protect a fellow classmate. I’m fully prepared to face any punishment. After all, I failed to protect the student this time,” I said, letting out a sigh.
The whole point of involvement myself was precisely because I wanted to save her. It didn’t sit right with me that a student should be attacked by multiple students older than them. Same thing with Lester, I’m honestly trying to help them.
Each time I try, something like this happens. That doesn’t mean I will stop, but I need to be more careful in the future. There has to be a way to evade the disciplinary committee.
