I threw a kick, aiming for his face. Getting out of the way, he wiped some blood from his lip. He hopped once as if showing the pain from his shin.
He got closer throwing a left hook, to which I ducked to avoid it. I swiftly jabbed his abdominal area twice. Noticing this he thrusted his knee upwards, elbowing my back with his right arm.
The elbow locked me into a position where I had no choice, but to receive a knee to the face. To prevent severe damages, I put my hands in front of my face as if about to help someone with chest compression. His knee made an impact with my palms, with me pushing down to minimize the strength he put in the attack.
Due to my quick thinking, I managed to avoid the attack. I hastily backed away, moving my hand as I put no strength in them. The newfound numbness present in my hands was going to hinder me if I don’t get rid of it.
The student in front of me had no way of knowing yet he aggressively continued attacking. I received a hit to the face. I counterattacked with a right punch. Unfortunately, he made a palm gesture with his left hand and placed it on my forearm, pushing my arm a bit to the side.
This change of trajectory left me vulnerable.
The back of his left hand struck me straight on my mouth, my head turning right due to the impact. Stumbling, I struggled to guard myself.
As a consequence, I received many punches to my head and body. I raised my arms to guard from the incoming attack. Yet none came so I walked backwards to put some distance between us. I patiently waited for an attack as I took deep breaths through my mouth.
I slowly closed the distance between us, on guard for any possible attacks. I was counting on a specific moment where I could execute a finishing blow. The male student swiftly attempted to sweep my legs, though I easily moved away.
The real attack came next as I was hit by a large force in the rib. Letting out a cough, he smirked. He threw another punch, yet I found the moment I was waiting for.
A lapse of judgment. Where his ego would make him lower his guard, even if it was for a moment. That was what I was waiting for all along.
I let my dominant hand low as I bent my legs, dipped down and put all my momentum to throw a hybrid between an uppercut and hook. My strike connected, the student slowly dropping on the ground. I took deep breaths as I stepped over his body to see how Mitsugi was doing.
To my surprise he was leaning his body against the wall, an unconscious person on the ground. He had bruises on his face, but other than that he had no other major injuries. He glanced at me, giving me thumbs up.
“Look at them talking all that shit only to end up like this,” he said, entertained by the irony of their threats.

His eyes widened a bit when he saw me, he took out a tiny cloth out of his pocket. He gave it to me. I only stared at him in confusion as he seemed satisfied with his actions.
“Go ahead and use the handkerchief. I always bring an extra one in case I lose my original one.”
“Why are you carrying something like this? Do you tend to get into fights all the time?” I asked, perplexed.
“Of course not. Just use it to wipe the blood on your face. We don’t want to attract any attention to ourselves. Imagine if we get caught fighting, you already know how the academy will punish us,” he said, tapping his foot on the ground.
Oh.
I forgot, but Mitsugi wasn’t with me when I fought the group of students on the fateful second day. I didn’t think Mitsugi was a model student, but I, too, wouldn’t want to be caught.
“Yeah, you’re right,” I said, nodding.
Nevertheless, Mitsugi does have a point. I got left off the hook once and it won’t be happening again. I used the handkerchief to wipe the blood on my face. Luckily there weren't any scars or anything of that sort.
Unfortunately my bandage was ripped apart, so it revealed the tiny almost invisible scar I received from my second day here. I picked the pieces of my badges, and stuffed them in my pocket.
“What are we going to do with them?” I asked.
“Hm. How about we carry them to an unoccupied room and leave them there?” Mitsugi proposed.
I shrugged, sure yet I followed his actions as I picked on them, specifically my opponent. I placed them on my back as I was ready to leave. But when I squinted my eyes a bit, I saw a figure of students approaching us. They were tiny shadows so I knew they were people, but I couldn’t see much of that.
“What is that?” Mitsugi muttered.
“It’s…t-the…disciplinary…c-committee…” A frail voice right behind my ear whispered.
My opponent had woken up yet didn’t try to attack me and just alert us of the identity of the tiny dots approaching us.
If that’s true…
Then that explains why they’re figures are more visible by the passing second.
They were aware of our presence.
“The what?” Mitsugi inquired, out of the loop.
“You know how I told you about being ambushed by a group of students?” I said.
“Yeah,” he nodded.
“Well, after the whole battle I was detained by a group of older students. Apparently they were the disciplinary committee.”
“H-how did they find us so quickly?” he questioned, panic beginning to form.
“It must’ve been from the spell from this guy I’m currently carrying,” I replied, talking faster than normal.
“We’re leaving. Hurry up, Mitsugi,” I said, running away.
“Shit! Okay!” he cursed as he followed me.
I never turned back when running yet I assume they noticed our movements and will increase their pace.
