The next day, we woke up quite early. Last night, we had a relatively fun and relaxing evening with games and food, although most of the food was basically fish. Ana was the first to sleep. I don't know why, but this girl really acts like a child. After Ana, it was Fujiwara who went to sleep.
Lastly, it was just me, Saemi, and Aoi-sensei. Before the three of us went to sleep, we talked a lot about random things. Most of the conversation was focused on Aoi-sensei and Saemi. I didn't really have much to say about my private life, but if I had to reveal something that no one knew, this would surely be it.
"Eh, you are Sumeragi's grandson?"
Saemi asked with a disbelieving expression on her face. Well, I can even understand the reason for the mistrust. After all, the Sumeragis are an incredibly wealthy family that rivals the Satos.
"To be more precise, I am a grandson on my mother's side. Apparently, she fell in love with my father, who is an ordinary person, and they got married. After that, she was disinherited, and since then, my mother and grandfather have not seen each other"
I said with no specific feeling. It's not like I hate or like the Sumeragis. For one thing, I've hardly ever had contact with them since I was a child, so I don't feel a family connection with them. Hearing my revelation, Saemi and Aoi-sensei seemed to have a lot on their minds, and with that, the three of us also went to sleep, aiming to save strength for tomorrow.
As soon as we woke up the next morning, I went again to the place I went to last time to catch some fish. This time, I went alone since there didn't seem to be any danger around. I also thought it would be better if we all stayed together in case something came up. As soon as I caught the fish, I put them all in my storage and got ready to go back. The way back was pretty smooth, no monsters showed up, so I made it back to camp quickly. As soon as I got back, we had breakfast fairly quickly and soon got ready to explore again.
"Alright, today we are going to do things a little differently. You four will go this way, while I go this way alone"
I said as I pointed out the directions we should go. Hearing my words, Saemi and Aoi-sensei looked a little worried, while Fujiwara and Ana seemed indifferent about this matter.
"Don't worry. You know I am strong enough to protect myself, and I am more worried about you guys. If any strong monster appears, it would be better if all of you are together"

I said with a soft smile on my face. Upon hearing my words, Saemi and Aoi-sensei nodded in agreement with my plan, although they didn't seem to fully agree. After that, I separated from the girls and went into the forest trying to find the boss. This part near the beach didn't seem to have any monsters, but I didn't explore that far to say so. As I walked through the forest, for some reason, I had the feeling that something was following me. No matter how far I walked or which way I went, I still felt that something was behind me.
But even then, my instincts told me that whatever was following me was not yet trying to attack me. That was until I reached a specific part of the forest. Huge trees were surrounding almost my entire field of vision. I didn't really know how exactly I had gotten here, but there was one thing I did know.
"It looks like I've come straight to your nest"
I said as I looked up. At this very moment, there were several spiders in webs made using the tall trees that were surrounding this place. Although I wasn't sure, there must have been about eight of them up there. They were all looking at me intensely with their huge, glowing red eyes.
"Weak spot visualization"
I said. As soon as I said this, my vision totally changed. Now, the spiders' vulnerable spots were showing. Well, as you might expect, their head was the weak point. At this point, I think almost all monsters have a weak point on their head.
Anyway, what to do now? I thought as I looked at the spiders. But it didn't look like they would analyze the enemy like me. Within seconds, all the spiders opened their mouths, and a metallic white thread started coming towards me.
"But what?"
I said as soon as I dodged one of the threads. It was so sudden that I didn't even have a chance to use an ability. Other than that, they were able to launch those threads incredibly quickly. As soon as I dodged it, I noticed a burning sensation on my arm. When I looked at it, I saw that there was a cut with blood pouring out of it. My eyes went wide open at this event.
Were those wires sharp? This doubt went round and round in my mind. As I thought about this, a green light surrounded the wound on my arm. Within seconds, the cut was gone, along with the bleeding. As I stood up, I looked again at the spiders that were staring at me. Their mouths were moving in a grotesque way, and there was some kind of liquid coming out of them. These things looked like they were starving.
Do I use that? I haven't tested that new ability since I got it, I thought as I looked at the spiders that were coming closer and closer to me. Well, I think it will be a good idea to try.
"Body armor"
I said. As soon as I said that, a light shone on my body.
"Glacial mist"
I activated my new skill, and a mist began to emanate from where I was standing. I really wondered if the name of the skill was right since, even though I was inside the skill, I wasn't feeling any kind of cold. But these thoughts only lasted until I moved my gaze towards the spiders.
