After my banter with Fujiwara, we were on our way to the camp. The air was quite heavy, and you could hear some hiccups. Some people died thanks to the flames that the boss unleashed towards those who were paralyzed. Some of the people who made a barrier to protect themselves also couldn't survive.
I hadn't noticed this since I was able to stop this attack with some ease. It seems that this attack is actually relatively strong. After defending against this using her shield, Saemi started to look at me with shining eyes. It seems that she started to admire me even more. Also, if you ask me if I feel anything about the people who died, I really don't know what to say. They were just strangers to me, so it would be something like watching someone you don't know on television die. You think for a few seconds, "What a shame," and then forget about it.
Thinking about this, I began to wonder how I would feel if Saemi died. Taking this thought out of my mind, I start to look up at the sky, thinking about the future. In Babel, there are 100 floors, and each floor will have a boss. For sure, many people will die, and many others will give up, thinking that it is impossible to reach the last floor. Glancing to the side, I see Aoi-sensei walking. Although her expression didn't look very good, it was nothing like before. It looked like she would do something stupid if I left her alone.
Noticing my look, Aoi-sensei opens a smile and waves to me. With a soft smile on my face, I wave back to Aoi-sensei. After a few minutes of walking, we finally reach the camp. As soon as we arrive at the place, everyone has fallen to the ground, tired from the previous battle. The first one to come towards us, or rather towards Shinji, was Ramon-sensei. After that, he ran to Aoi-sensei. As usual, she didn't seem to be enjoying this at all.
As I was looking around, I felt something tugging at my shirt. As soon as I looked back, I found a small, delicate girl with silver-white hair and blue eyes. She had a candy in her mouth as she looked at me. Her expression seemed totally uninterested in almost everything, including me, besides looking like she was very sleepy. I was a little confused by the situation since she had called out to me but wasn't saying anything. She was just looking at me while chewing the candy. Try as I might, I couldn't remember ever having seen this girl at all. But since she was here, that means she studied at the same school as me, and since I can't remember her, she surely was a kouhai.
(After all, where the hell did she get this candy?)
I thought as I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Do you need me for something?"
I asked, confused. The girl stared at me for a few seconds with her sleepy face before her small mouth moved.
"... Sleep"
That was the only word out of her mouth. She quickly swallowed the candy and put one of her hands on her eye, starting to rub it. I don't know why, but I found the gesture extremely cute.
"Hmmm... right..."
I said, still confused by the situation. With that, I took a sheet from inside my backpack and put it on the floor. As soon as I put the sheet stretched out on the floor, the little silver-haired girl lay down, and after seconds, she was asleep.
(She really did sleep)
I thought as I looked at her, a little surprised. I wondered if she was on the attack team or the support team. I didn't remember seeing her when we fought the boss. Time passed, and it was already night. As usual, the night was starry, and everyone was already asleep.
"I wonder if Glassy is okay"
I wondered as I leaned against a tree. Saemi and I had left Glassy on the third floor since it would not be a good idea to bring her with us. But still, Saemi and I were quite happy when we found out that Glassy would be able to go with us between floors. With that thought in mind, I looked around trying to see if anyone was still awake.
Seeing that there was no one awake, I teleported silently to the third floor. As soon as I reached the third floor, the cold hit my face, brought by the wind. Using my ability, I equipped my suit so that the cold no longer affected me. Looking around, I gave a loud whistle. After a few seconds of waiting, a big white furry wolf jumped on top of me and started licking me.
"Hey girl, how have you been?"
I said as I stroked Glassy's fur. After our reunion, Glassy was lying behind me while I was lying on her body. Glassy's fur was quite fluffy, which made it the best pillow you could find in this place. Not to mention her body heat was quite high, leaving the surrounding environment with little cold. Looking up at the stars on the third floor, I began to think about the path I've taken so far. I've gained new skills and become much stronger. I'll make Saemi and Fujiwara help me with my revenge, besides having Aurora-sama's help.
(Even though she is an extremely suspicious goddess)
I thought with a smile on my face.
"I heard that, Makoto"
A familiar voice made itself present in my head, making me let out a laugh again.
"Sorry about that, Aurora-sama. I really feel grateful for your help. I feel that you are the only person I can trust in this crazy place," I said in a serious tone.
"..."
Although I was expecting some joke coming from Aurora-sama, my mind suddenly became quite silent.
"Aurora-sama?" I called her again, confused.
"I appreciate the compliment, Makoto, but you know... I'm actually a pretty mean woman"
Said Aurora-sama with an energetic voice. I obviously took this as another of her jokes and decided to leave it at that. Even if my goddess had a nasty past, I couldn't do anything about it.
