Currently, we were flying towards Arclight in my Wyvern form, with the girls on my back, enjoying the scenery during the journey. However, I was the one exerting all the physical effort. Despite appearances, flying for several hours straight is truly exhausting. Anyway.
With me were Saemi, Aoi, Fujiwara, Ana, and our last-minute guest, Leona. To be honest, I was the one who invited her. I didn't want to go for something fun and leave Leona behind while taking only the others. I thought that would be a bit unfair. Speaking of which, the expression on Leona's face when she saw me transform into a dragon was truly hilarious.
For a moment, she even seemed to have thought that I was actually a Demi-human. Although rare, there are some individuals born with the ability of bestification, turning them into a beast. However, in my case, Leona said she had never seen a Wyvern Demi-human.
Anyway, we had been flying for a few hours, and Arclight was visible ahead. I increased the altitude to go unnoticed by the kingdom as we headed to Sylvia's castle. I wasn't worried about encountering Shinji and the others; in fact, I didn't care about that.
(I'll be landing soon, hold on tight)
Mentally conveying these words to the girls, I felt them grip the spines on my back tightly. Then, I increased my speed, and as I approached Sylvia's palace, I began to reduce my altitude until reaching the garden.
As I descended, my imposing presence became increasingly evident to the palace people. In a matter of seconds, several knights gathered in the garden. In contrast to the last time, there were many more knights than before.
As soon as I landed, I lowered my wing, creating a kind of staircase for the girls to descend. As the girls descended, some maids and knights looked at us with confused faces. In the midst of the crowd, Sylvia arrived. Spotting the girls, she opened a smile on her face and fearlessly approached them.
"It's wonderful to see you all back. I am genuinely happy to know that you are all well"
Saying these words, Sylvia turned her gaze to Leona, who had just descended. Gently holding the hem of her dress, Sylvia made a brief noble pose, worthy of royalty stories.
"Princess Leona, it is an honor to have you in Arclight"
Upon hearing Sylvia's words, Leona placed her hand on her chest, imitating the same pose. The greeting was similar, though with the difference that Leona kept one hand on her chest, in contrast to the two hands on the hem, which was Sylvia's pose.

While the two exchanged greetings, I quickly glanced around. A crowd of servants and knights watched us, all with confused expressions and a touch of fear. I didn't see any familiar faces, not even Rena, which I found a bit strange, as she used to always be by Sylvia's side.
"It's a pleasure to see you too, Makoto"
While saying this, Sylvia had her two arms stretched out as if she was asking for a hug. I don't need to say that this would be technically impossible since I was overwhelmingly larger than her. So, all I did was bring my head closer to her body.
With a smile on her face, Sylvia began to stroke my nose. Strangely, the sensation was extremely pleasant, causing me to close my eyes to enjoy more of that caress. People around looked at this scene with wide eyes, unsure how to react.
It's common knowledge that Wyverns are incredibly territorial and extremely aggressive towards anything, including their own kind when they're not in the mating season. Therefore, from their point of view, a Wyvern being so submissive to a human must be a strange sight, well, if I really were a Wyvern, of course.
Releasing a mental sigh, a black mist envelops me completely. Slowly, the mist shrinks in size, revealing my human self. Then, I walk towards Sylvia and put a small smile on my face.
"Likewise, I'm glad to see that you're well, Sylvia"
After that, we briefly talked as Sylvia led us to the guest room for a quieter conversation. By the way, I had already sent Shade earlier to warn Sylvia about Leona. She easily got permission from the king and queen, so we all came here without problems.
"By the way, it's rare not to see Rena by your side"
Saemi asked as we settled on the couch. To be honest, we all shared the same doubt. Rena and Sylvia seemed inseparable, so it was a bit strange not to see them together. Upon hearing these words, Sylvia let out a small laugh.
"Rena is organizing some things I asked her to. In fact, it has to do with the people you asked me to keep an eye on. I tried my best to gather information about what they've done since they arrived in Arclight"
After Sylvia's words, the door opened, and Rena, who had just arrived, cast a quick glance at us before addressing Sylvia.
"Sylvia-sama, I've organized what you asked me for"
Rena said, displaying a folder of files.
"Thank you, Rena"
Sylvia thanked, taking the documents. Then, she turned to me and handed the folder. As soon as I took it, I stored it in my inventory, momentarily surprising Sylvia.
"Aren't you going to read it?"
She asked. I put a small smile on my face.
"I can read it later. After all, we plan to stay in Arclight for a while... Oh, speaking of which, today is your birthday, isn't it?"
Hearing my words, Sylvia slightly widened her eyes in surprise.
"I hope you don't mind if we join. In fact, that was the main reason we came to Arclight"
Upon hearing my words, Sylvia expressed a happy smile and then looked at all of us.
"Thank you for coming, everyone. I'm really happy to have friends like you. I hope you have a great time tonight"
After these words, the girls began to congratulate Sylvia. They expressed their greetings with much joy and warmth, in contrast to Leona, who, though more reserved, still showed her happiness for Sylvia.
