A small sigh escaped my lips upon hearing Aurora-sama's words. Looking discreetly at Shade, I noticed her cheeks still had a slight reddish hue. Apparently, Aurora-sama wasn't lying, or rather, I doubt she would have any reason to lie about it.
(But still, who would have thought that my contracted spirit would have a crush on me... I really don't know how to react to this news)
Although my thoughts couldn't be called the most sensible, it's not like it was a lie. It's true that Shade is extremely attractive, but I really wasn't interested in her that way. While these thoughts passed through my head, Aurora-sama's voice echoed in my mind again.
"You don't need to worry too much about it, Makoto. To be honest, I'm sure Shade-chan is already happy enough just to be by your side"
Listening to Aurora-sama's words, another doubt settled in my mind, but to be honest, I didn't want to prolong this matter any further.
(Huh? Can I really just ignore this? Well, if that's what you say...)
After this thought, I turned my attention to Shade once again.
"Thank you for that, Shade. You can go now"
Upon hearing my words, Shade nodded before being enveloped in a shadowy mist. As soon as the mist dissipated, Shade was no longer there. With that, I turned my attention back to the girls.
"Well, as you may have noticed, I made a contract with Shade, the imperial spirit of darkness. In exchange for this contract, I ended up losing my ability to manipulate the other elements"
As I uttered these words, Fujiwara nodded, as if something clicked, a slight trace of conviction appearing on her face.
"That clarifies why I lost your magic, and looking at your status, I realize that your elemental manipulation has been replaced by spiritual manipulation... it seems quite powerful, it's a shame I can't copy it"
Upon hearing Fujiwara's words, I raised an eyebrow, as it was the first time I had heard about this. With this thought in mind, I closed my eyes, and in a matter of seconds, a familiar image displaying my status appeared in my mind.

As Fujiwara had mentioned, spiritual manipulation was now part of my active abilities. This also reminded me that since I made the contract with Shade, I hadn't tested this new power. How strong would it be compared to my previous ability? I was genuinely curious to find out.
While these thoughts crossed my mind, a noise at the bedroom door echoed through the room, indicating someone's presence outside.
“You may come in”
Shortly after Sylvia uttered these words, the bedroom door opened, and a soldier wearing armor entered. I recognized him as the same man who had fetched us at the adventurers' guild.
“Sylvia-sama, I'm here to inform you that Prince Eldritch is awaiting your presence in the drawing room”
Upon hearing these words, Sylvia nodded before turning to me.
“Let's go, Makoto, it's time for us to deliver the medicine to Eldritch”
After speaking these words, Sylvia turned to the knight who still stood in the same spot.
“Thank you for coming to inform me. Now, you may return to your duties”
Upon hearing these words, the knight made a brief bow before departing. After this moment, Sylvia and I bid farewell to my companions and headed to the guest room where Eldritch awaited us. Although Saemi had expressed a desire to accompany me, I convinced her to stay with Fujiwara and Aoi. It wasn't as if we were about to enter a battle, so Saemi's presence wouldn't be necessary.
After walking down the hallway for a few minutes, we arrived at a door guarded by two sentinels. As we approached, both guards opened the door, revealing what was inside.
Upon entering, we found Eldritch and his two companions waiting for us. Unlike the last time, the three were now dressed simply but still in good-quality clothing. Although I didn't know where they had obtained those clothes, I assumed they were the garments Eldritch and his companions had worn to travel to Arclight.
“Princess Sylvia, it's a pleasure to see you again”
Said Eldritch, with a warm smile on his face.
“Likewise, it's a pleasure to see you again, Prince Eldritch”
After exchanging greetings, Eldritch looked at me and nodded. I immediately understood it as a greeting, but like me, he was aware that it was not the time for extended pleasantries.
Next, both Sylvia and I seated ourselves across from Eldritch and his companions. As we sat down, Sylvia removed a vial and placed it on the table.
“Here is what was promised. I hope that with this, the queen can recover from her illness”
With Sylvia's words, Eldritch took hold of the vial. With it in his hand, he looked at the contents as if it were the most precious treasure he had ever seen in his life. He then closed his eyes, seeming to be lost in deep thought.
“I express deep gratitude for this gesture. The Daemon royal family promises that one day, we will find a way to repay you”
Said Eldritch. As he spoke, I remained silent, as an outsider, I thought it more appropriate to simply observe.
“The Daemon royal family has already been of great assistance, and it is thanks to you that the people of Arclight can lead their everyday lives normally, without fearing monster attacks”
although I had no knowledge of the subject to which Sylvia referred, I realized it was something of great importance, possibly related to both kingdoms.
