While staring at Baji's lifeless face, a series of emotions began to flow within me. There was joy, euphoria, excitement, and many other intense feelings. However, surprisingly, I also experienced a sense of disappointment. Although I initially felt relief, at some point, Baji's death started to seem insignificant.
Still, if someone were to ask me whether I was happy or sad to see Baji dead, I would undoubtedly answer that I am happy. At least that's how I felt just before Baji died. Now, it just seems... boring.
As these thoughts passed through my mind, I heard applause coming from behind me. I turned around and noticed Fujiwara approaching with a sweet smile on her face.
"Congratulations, you've taken a step towards the end of your revenge"
Fujiwara said. Saying this, Fujiwara crouched down and stared intensely at Baji's head, her sweet smile remaining unchanged even in this situation. I struggled to comprehend what she might be thinking. In the end, I decided to set aside that question and focus on deciding what to do with Baji's body. While pondering this, Fujiwara's voice echoed, her gaze still fixed on Baji's head.
"Aren't you going to consume him?"
Fujiwara asked, her voice soft and calm. It was easy to understand what she was talking about, but somehow, the way she posed the question made me a little irritated. It almost seemed as if she was implying that I couldn't use my power on humans. While it was true that I would probably hesitate to use this power on ordinary people, I had no qualms about using it on Baji, Shinji, and the others.
"I was about to do it even without you mentioning it"
I said, my voice sounding a bit annoyed. On the other hand, Fujiwara, upon hearing this, intensified her smile and even chuckled. Setting that aside, I approached Shinji's body and extended my hand toward him. Shortly after, I whispered.
"Gluttony, devour him"
As always, my voice came out in a strange way, almost as if it were in an ancestral language. After that, a gruesome scene began to unfold before my eyes. Seeing this, Fujiwara let out a whistle, commenting afterward.
"Your ability is truly frightening. I sincerely hope you never have to use it on me"
Fujiwara said as she turned to me, her tone laden with fascination. A sweet and amused smile appeared on her face. I heard her words and simply shrugged, waiting for the voice in my head, which didn't take long to come.

CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE ACQUIRED THE ABILITY (SUPER STRENGTH)
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE ACQUIRED THE ABILITY (AURA MANIPULATION)
I already expected the super strength, but I must admit that Aura manipulation was a total surprise to me. Upon reflection, that aura I sensed from Baji earlier was probably related to this ability. However, despite the name being quite intuitive, I had no idea what exactly this ability could do. Anyway, I decided to leave that matter for later and focus on immediate issues.
"Fujiwara, let's meet up with Saemi, Ana, and Aoi. We've completed our mission anyway... though not in the most conventional manner"
I said. Hearing my words, Fujiwara let out a small laugh before responding with her typical energetic "yes" After that, we started walking toward the cave's exit, which didn't take long. As we reached the entrance, we found Ana, Saemi, and Aoi. Upon noticing us, Saemi and Fujiwara seemed eager to know what had happened, while Ana continued to touch me, her way of checking if I was alright.
"Since you're here, can I assume Baji is dead, right?"
Aoi asked, her eyes fixed on me. In response, I simply nodded, although I wasn't really expecting the evident sigh of relief that escaped her lips.
"Are you okay with it?"
I asked, raising an eyebrow as I looked at Aoi. To be honest, it was a bit strange to see Aoi, who used to be our teacher, show so little interest upon hearing about the death of one of her former students.
"What do you mean? The way Baji was, I'm sure if it wasn't him, it would've been you. I'm just glad you're okay. Haven't I told you before? I'll prioritize what's important to me at any cost"
Aoi replied, her voice sounding firm and determined. After that, I transformed back into a Wyvern. Once the girls climbed onto my back, I took off and headed toward the village. Of course, when the village was in sight from a distance, I landed in the forest and resumed my human form.
With that, we finally arrived at the village, where we were greeted by the community leader, accompanied by the villagers. When I informed them that the Wyvern was dead, the villagers initially looked confused, but quickly their faces lit up with joy. They started jumping and celebrating with their relatives.
The boy who had hit me with a stone before was also present. His gaze as he stared at me was a mixture of surprise and shame. Although what he had done was wrong, I really couldn't blame him for his actions.
So, as I approached him, I just placed my hand on his head with a smile on my face. This time, his sister wasn't by his side, she was probably at home with their mother.
"Don't worry, kid. I'm not angry"
I said, keeping a calm and reassuring tone.
"Just be careful throwing stones at someone in the future. You must know not all people are good"
I said, looking at the boy with a playful smile, tousling his hair. The villagers around me were still jumping around, so they probably weren't paying attention to our conversation.
In the end, we decided to return to Sylvia to report the mission's status. During the conversation, the villagers asked about the Wyvern's body. When I mentioned it was still in the cave, they seemed concerned. However, when I informed them they could keep the body, they became noticeably happy. This mentally noted for me that Wyvern parts hold considerable value in the market.
