While listening to Shade, my thoughts turned to her family. Speaking of which, although Shade referred to them as family, they weren't really siblings or anything like that. To begin with, as Shade told me, the spirits were created by the primordial spirit of creation.
Apparently, this spirit is capable of controlling all elements and, it seems, was created by Aurora-sama. That explains why Shade refers to Aurora-sama with the title of goddess, as Aurora-sama is directly linked to the creation of such a spirit.
Now, talking about Shade's “siblings” Starting with the primordial spirit of light, she apparently is quite kind and determined. The fire spirit is enthusiastic about battles and wars, the water spirit is humorous and fun, the earth spirit is calm and intelligent, the nature spirit is cheerful and smiling, the thunder spirit is serious and determined, the ice spirit is cold and impassive, and finally, the wind spirit is quite cheerful and lively.
If you ask me, these are quite distinct descriptions from each other. I think each one has their own way of thinking. Another interesting thing is that when I asked which of these characteristics Shade would fit into, she replied with a smile.
“Me? Well... I would probably be fearless, impatient, and merciless... or at least that's what humans say”
When I heard that, I was surprised by this answer. The Shade I knew was the complete opposite of what others thought of her, to the point where I could say we were talking about completely different people. Although I was curious about why humans think this of Shade, as soon as I saw her with a smile on her face while enjoying her parfait, that curiosity quickly disappeared.
After our dinner, Shade and I walked for some more time until we reached a clothing store. Although Shade didn't seem initially interested, as soon as I mentioned that I would like to see her in different clothes, she quickly became excited and expressed the desire to try on some pieces.
After that, a battle of patience and waiting ensued. I confess I wasn't expecting to spend two whole hours inside a store choosing clothes. In the end, to put an end to the waiting, I decided to buy all the clothes that Shade had liked.
Although the price was a bit high, it was still worth it, considering that Shade rarely asked for anything. After the purchase, we continued to explore Anima. It was evident that Shade attracted looks due to her beauty, but she didn't seem bothered by it. In fact, she seemed not to notice.

After all these activities, Shade and I headed to a small leisure area in Anima and sat on a bench. We were side by side, watching the residents passing by.
“Thank you very much for accompanying me today, my king. I will never forget this day”
Shade expressed these words with a smile on her face. Watching Shade, I returned my gaze forward. As I gazed at the sky, I reflected on the day I shared with her.
“We can do this another day; it doesn't have to be the last time”
Listening to my words, Shade turned her gaze towards me, displaying a smile on her face.
“I figured you'd say something like that”
With smiles on our faces, Shade and I observed the people around us, while a gentle breeze caressed our faces. Advancing a little further in time, we returned to the inn and, after greeting the girls, began to get ready to leave Anima. The next destination will be the land of the elves.
In this world, there are two types of elves: the sun elves, who correspond to the normal elves you see in anime and games, and the moon elves, who are equivalent to dark elves. From what I've heard, these two groups of elves don't maintain a very close relationship.
It's, not to say terrible, considered quite a tense relationship. Moon elves are often seen as elves who were abandoned by their god, resulting in a division of beliefs between the moon elves and the sun elves, each group worshiping different gods.
But, from what I understand, the gods in whom both groups believe are actually siblings. The narrative goes that when the dark elves were expelled from the elven city, they sought refuge in the forests leading to the land of the elves.
But some years before we arrived in this world, it seems that the new queen is making efforts to reintegrate the dark elves into the kingdom. The queen is quite elusive, and neither Sylvia nor Leona seem to have seen her before. Additionally, elves have significant longevity; for them, ten years of human life equate to a hundred years of their own.
So, considering that the average human lifespan is up to a hundred years, elves can live up to a thousand years. Out of curiosity, demi-humans have a lifespan similar to humans, while dragons and demons have a lifespan similar to elves. Dwarves live approximately three hundred years, while fairies are immortal, representing the very essence of nature. In short, as long as nature exists in the world, fairies will remain immortal.
After organizing our luggage and storing it in my storage, we headed to the Anima palace for a final farewell to Leona's family. Honestly, I expected some reluctance from Leona's father in the face of her departure from the country, but surprisingly, he encouraged her and asked me to protect her, a request to which I promptly agreed with open arms.
Excluding the part where Leona almost cried saying goodbye to her family and needed to be spoiled by her brother, we were ready to leave. By the way, we chose the land of the elves as our next destination simply because it was the closest country to Anima, which turned out to be quite convenient for us. Anyway, after transforming into a dragon and the girls climbing on my back, I initiated our flight towards the next destination, bidding farewell to Anima.
