"I won't deny that there is truth in what you're saying, but I also don't think you should generalize. It's true that many humans are exactly the way you described, but isn't that true for Demi-humans and any other race as well? At least, I believe that in every race, just as there is evil, there is also good”
Initially, I didn't plan to approach the subject this way, but remembering all the people I've met since I arrived in this world and hearing insults of this kind about them made me a little angry. However, I also understand her point of view.
"I apologize for speaking that way..."
Even though I apologized, I found myself at a crossroads, questioning the validity of my words. Was I wrong? Deep down, I didn't believe I was, but that didn't justify the tone I used. Amidst the silence that settled in, I eagerly awaited her words while she remained quiet, lost in her thoughts.
Fortunately, the silence didn't last long. She turned her gaze back to me, now with a softer expression, although still cautious. It seemed that, at the very least, she didn't plan on continuing the exchange of insults, or at least that's what I hoped for.
"Okay... I guess you're right. I apologize for my earlier words. But putting that aside, I can't accept your help without offering something in return. Demi-humans always repay a favor twofold, it's a matter of honor for us"
Listening to her words, I realized that this probably stemmed from a cultural difference. I really didn't care about rewards, but for her, this was a matter of utmost importance. In the end, I agreed.
"Well... if that's the case, how about showing me around Anima after returning the children to their families? I've arrived recently and don't know much, so that would be a great help"
Listening to my words, I noticed her ears perking up before she nodded her head. Though I wasn't certain, it seemed like she also liked the idea. It made me wonder if perhaps she wasn't one of those patriotic people.
"Since that's the case, I'll be happy to help you"
With careful movements, I approached the Jaguar girl. It was clear that the children were scared of my presence, and I couldn't blame them for that. As I crouched down, I looked directly at the little girl hiding behind the Jaguar girl.

"By the way, I don't know your name yet; mine is Makoto, Makoto Tatsuya"
Upon hearing my words, she gave a slight nod and then introduced herself.
"My name is Leona; I belong to the respected tribe of the Jaguar Men"
With evident pride in her last words, Leona introduced herself. Instead of seeming arrogant, her attitude seemed charming. Leona was truly a beautiful girl, and seeing her interact with the children, it was hard to imagine her as someone malicious.
"I understand. It's a pleasure to meet you, Leona"
I said as I turned to the girl hiding behind Leona, a slight smile playing on my lips. She remained cautious, much like the other boys and girls around.
"Hey, would you like to see something fun?"
My words seemed to have an effect on the girl; her small cat ear twitched slightly. Slowly, she moved her face out from behind Leona and stared at me. However, she still displayed caution in her gaze. Well, at least it was a start.
(Shade)
As I called her name, a small dark swirl began to twirl in my hand. It startled the girl, but her curiosity overcame her fear, and she looked back. In a matter of seconds, an action figure of her appeared in my hand. Her eyes widened in surprise at what had happened.
"I-Is that me?"
She asked timidly, her voice sweet. Seeing this, I let out a soft laugh and nodded my head. With my confirmation, her eyes shone even more brightly than before. And not just her, but all the boys and girls who were apprehensive now wore surprised expressions on their faces.
"For everyone who behaves, I promise I'll create a figure of you, so you can take it home"
Upon hearing my words, they all became excited at the idea and quickly seemed to have forgotten the fear they felt towards me just moments ago. This made me laugh again, as children were truly innocent.
"I guess that's settled. First, let's find out where they all live. Then, we can take them home one by one"
Upon hearing my words, Leona nodded her head, and we began asking the children where they lived. Some of them knew exactly, but others could only give us vague references. I must admit, the clues were quite confusing. However, Leona seemed to know Anima well, she quickly deciphered the exact location where the children lived.
With that, it only remained a matter of taking the children home. It would be strange if all of us suddenly showed up throughout the city, so I decided it would be better to take them one by one. Initially, Leona was against the idea, as she didn't want to leave the children alone. However, with Shade's insistence, she reluctantly agreed. I must say, I was surprised to see how well Shade got along with the children.
So, we started taking the children back to their homes, one by one. I was genuinely surprised to realize that their parents hadn't noticed their absence. Leona explained to me that there was a magic to deflect perception, ensuring that the parents would only notice the next day when it would be too late.
I had no idea such a charm existed, so I was shocked to hear that. Anyway, it took about an hour and a half until all the children were back home, safe and sound. In the end, only Leona and I remained. As promised, she would take me for a tour of Anima to get to know the place.
