In my Wyvern form, I soared above the clouds with Saemi, Ana, Fujiwara, and Aoi riding on my back. A pleasant feeling filled me as the wind brushed against my scales. As I mentioned before, I felt no discomfort whatsoever when changing forms.
Truth be told, it sometimes feels like I don't have a specific form, and anything I transform into becomes my true form. At this point, I had really stopped thinking of myself as human. Anyway, it didn't negatively affect me, so I didn't really care much about it.
Furthermore, we reached Arclight much faster flying than we would have by carriage. Although obvious, we saved considerably more time traveling this way, so we would probably go the same way to Anima. In no time, Arclight's capital was already in sight.
While it would have been more appropriate to land a bit away from Arclight, I decided to proceed as I was. I could probably make it to Sylvia's palace without being seen as long as I kept flying above the clouds. However, it would be impossible to hide my body from the people in the palace once I landed.
And, as I predicted, as I passed through the city heading toward Sylvia's palace, I was greeted by several knights in armor and a few other people in the back wearing typical wizard robes. Everyone seemed prepared for the battle of their lives. However, just before anyone could attack, they seemed to notice the girls on my back, causing them to step back.
Although obvious, we are quite known in the palace, so everyone hesitated about what they should do. As soon as I landed, I slowly lowered my wing so the girls could use it as a ladder to get down. While they all descended, Sylvia and Rena approached, being escorted by knights who still looked wary of me.
"It's a pleasure to see you all again, folks. I'm glad to see everyone seems well"
Sylvia said with a warm smile on her face as she looked at the girls. Then, she turned her gaze to me. I blinked briefly, realizing Sylvia's intense stare, strangely noting that she felt no fear even standing in front of a Wyvern.
"I apologize if I'm mistaken, but can I assume this next to you is Makoto, right?"
Sylvia asked with a smile. Hearing that, both I and the girls were surprised since we really didn't expect her to find out so quickly. However, I also managed to remember Sylvia's special ability. Probably, my soul remains the same even if I'm not in human form.

(I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you found out)
I said mentally to Sylvia, in a playful tone. To me, it seemed pretty normal coming from you, Sylvia. Although your power is quite handy in this situation, you're also very perceptive, so you would probably quickly notice my identity.
"And to think you have a power like that, that's the first time I've seen something like this"
Sylvia said, looking genuinely surprised. Her gaze, while observing me, was filled with curiosity, which, to be honest, made her even more charming than she already was. Setting that aside, a black mist began to surround me and slowly started to fade away. Once the mist cleared, my human form was visible.
"Anyway, we've completed your request. We've decided to leave the Wyvern's body for the village people. I hope you don't mind"
Sylvia said. Listening to my words, Sylvia nodded, then continued to speak, maintaining a smile on her face.
"I also think you made the right decision. Anyway, how about you all freshen up? I'll have something prepared for everyone to eat. After that, you can tell me everything that happened"
Hearing Sylvia's words, the girls seemed excited at the prospect of taking a bath. Personally, I didn't mind much since I wasn't dirty to begin with, but as we had the opportunity, I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to clean up as well.
Afterward, as agreed earlier, we all went to clean up. The girls went first while I entered last. The bath was uneventful, with nothing special to mention. Once I got out of the bath, I headed to the dinner location, where I would meet up with the girls.
After sitting down, I recounted to Sylvia all the events that took place during our Wyvern hunt. Of course, I omitted the part about Baji, as there really wasn't a reason to tell her about that. As she listened to my words, Sylvia seemed increasingly interested.
After finishing recounting everything I remembered, a sudden realization dawned on me. If Baji was here, it probably meant that Shinji and the others had come too.
"Sylvia, can I ask you a favor?"
I said. Hearing my question, Sylvia looked at me curiously.
"You asking for a favor? That's quite rare. If it's something I can do, I'll be happy to help"
She said. Hearing that, I considered how to tell Sylvia. After a few seconds of thought, I proceeded.
"In a few days, a group of people will probably arrive in the kingdom. I can't be certain of how many exactly, but I'd like you to keep me informed about their movements within Arclight as much as possible"
Hearing my words, I noticed Rena's expression becoming a bit strange. Meanwhile, Sylvia seemed to fall into contemplation.
"So... you're asking me to monitor this group of people?"
Sylvia asked. Hearing Sylvia's words, I simply nodded. Seeing this, Rena stepped forward.
"Makoto-sama, I respect you immensely for the help you've given us, but I don't think this is a reasonable request to Sylvia-sama"
Rena didn't seem particularly angry with me; in fact, I really understood her words. However, I thought it would be better to do it this way to avoid surprises like last time. While I pondered this, Sylvia spoke.
"It's okay, Rena. Although I don't know the reason, there must be some good reason for this, right? Alright, I'll do it"
