The past couple of months passed very quickly. Due to all the filming, Ian couldn’t celebrate Christmas or the New year. He got invited to different parties held by different directors and studios.
Regardless, he was busy with filming. The same applied to all the actors and crew. No one got a break to go home for Christmas which was equally bitter for everyone. Instead, Ian and everyone celebrated Christmas and New Year in different locations.
After months of not being in town, Ian finally got to visit the studio and check on the status of Green Book.
The morning felt fresh for Ian Renner who walked inside the building of Renner Studios.
The automatic glass doors opened on their own and Ian walked in. He got greeted by the receptionist who had a pleasant smile plastered on her face.
Ian straightaway walked up to Mason’s office. On the way, he noticed how people were busy.
“Oh no, let me talk,” The tall girl with brown hair took the phone and answered the call.
“Hey, can you come here for a minute?” Someone else shouted in the background.
“Good morning, Sir Ian,” The man who stood in front of Ian asked.
“Yeah, working hard I see,” Ian smirked and made his way to meet Mason.
The office was completely renovated.
“Good morning, Ian. It is good to see you again,” Mason greeted him when Ian walked inside the office.
Ian noticed how Mason’s office looked clean and fresh. After the renovation, it looked classy and modern as well. When Ian was last in the studio, his personal office was completely done, and while he was away it seemed as if everything else, including Mason's office, the stairs and every other floor was completed.
“The office view looks spectacular, uncle,” Ian said and sat on the couch where Mason sat opposite him.
“I know, right? I just gave them the design and they did everything perfectly. You have your own office as well,”
“Yeah,” Ian said and smiled.
“How was the filming, is everything done?” Mason asked.
“Yeah, it all went well. You saw the locations right? We weren't able to get a break. Travelling, and well the normal stuff. But thankfully, the promotions will start within two months, the plan is to release in four months. I really wanna take it easy with editing and post production,” Ian said with a smile.
“Sounds great, how was Martin?” Mason asked.
“Very supportive, anyway, are things going fine with Green Book?” Ian questioned.
“The good news is, it will be ready by the end of this month. Moses is working on the post-production and editing with the chief editor. I’m helping too. It's going really well. By the way, you missed lots of parties during New Year's Eve and Christmas,” Mason mentioned because he had been thinking about it.
“Yeah, uncle. But trust me, Batman Begins is going to be the greatest hit of all time and worth every second I spent. The struggle will surely be something that will pay off, I don’t regret missing the parties,” Ian said with a smile.
Mason returned it knowing what he said was true.
“Ah, I can feel it. You can check Green Book out before it releases anyway,”
“Sounds great, I hope this will destigmatize my reputation for good,” Ian said.
“Oh wait, don’t you know, Lucifer was released last week. In LeoTV of course, the numbers are rather high actually,”
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
LeoTV accepted the request of finding a director to shoot the first season while Ian solely focused on Batman Begins. Derrick Winstone, the producer who was hired by LeoTV did a great job with the episodes. Although Ian got to see some cuts of the series, he was so busy with Batman that he couldn’t make time for it.
“Oh damn, I forgot about it completely for a second,” Ian said while his eye size increased.
“It was so good, I watched an episode last night too,” Mason said with a smile.
“I knew it would be good, it was supposed to be good. I will pay a visit to LeoTV today,” Ian said.
The little get-together shared details that happened when Ian was away, and Ian shared details that happened while filming in every location.
“It was shitting cold, uncle. Bale was like, when can we go back?” Ian said and laughed.
“Ahaha.. I can imagine his face… I saw the script and there was a lot of action. Did anyone get hurt or something?”
“No, not really. Everyone was well prepared. We had professionals and you should know,” Ian said.
“Oh right, By the way, wanna watch the first Lucifer episode just to see the final product? I mean, if you don’t have anything to do?” Mason asked with a smirk.
“Should I bring snacks?” Ian joked. He had a few hours left till the board meeting with the production crew of Batman.

“Oh hell. Not Lucifer please,” Angela said and groaned loudly.
“Did you even see the guy?! Chad fucking Carter!” Mandela shouted.
She had been trying to convince her roommate to start watching Lucifer with her for three days. Mandela wanted to watch Lucifer on the big screen, which was their TV they had connected to LeoTV. She wanted to get a good experience with Lucifer knowing how good the show was.
Her university friends did not stop blabbering about Lucifer, but ever since she wanted to watch there was a huge challenge in the middle of her way. Angela Patti.
“God, I just don’t want to watch it. I saw the trailer, the guy does look good, but we can keep watching the sitcom we started last week. There are like 10 more episodes left. Don’t you wanna finish one before starting another? With all due respect, I have NO INTEREST in watching it,” Angela said and kept scrolling through her social media.
“We started it because of you, this should BE FAIR. I want my turn too. Girl I don’t even say anything when you and your boyfriend make babies in that room. At least have some pity on this poor single soul!” Mandela said and faked fainting.
“You are so dramatic, like very fucking dramatic. Let’s watch Lucifer then,” She said out loud for her to hear. “I never stopped you from having a boyfriend, it's not my fault no one likes you,” Angela whispered.
“I heard you,” Mandela said.
It was not surprising that those types of words came out of Angela. She once called her boyfriend, a guy with a small penis, in front of all her friends. Mandela heard it across the room and looked at Angela’s boyfriend.
“What? I always say that” Angela had said when she noticed the surprise on Mandela’s face.
Even her boyfriend looked normal about the whole situation, while Mandela kept wondering what kind of sin she might have done in her past to end up with such a weird roommate.
“Let’s start then!” Angela brought the snacks by herself and propped herself on the couch to start the series.
On the nice side, Mandela had a roommate who was silent when it came to other times. Mandela got all the private space she needed and she was content with what they had.
LeoTV's intro came and Angela logged into her profile.
“Here we come, Devil!”
[...] After two hours, they were on the third episode of the season. Mandela who hated the name of Lucifer was now engrossed in every second.
“You could learn a thing or two from this guy,” The girl in the tv walked away while Lucifer gazed after her.
“Witty, charming, and wise. Have you lost your mind?” Lucifer asked.
A phone rang out of the blue and Mandela paused Lucifer before picking up the call.
“Oh, hey mom. Watching L- No, in the library.”
“Yeah, can’t talk much,” She whispered to the phone.
“Talk to you later, love ya, kiss kiss,” She hung up the phone.
“You never lie to her!” Angela said in horror. She fake gasped while placing a hand over her chest.
“How can I say I’m watching Lucifer when I’m supposed to be studying. She strictly told me on my last vacation, not to get caught doing weird shit, isn’t this weird?” She asked, her face completely covered with confusion.
“Chad Carter is weird? Fuck no! I’m sure your mom would come here to watch with us,” Angela said and shook her head.
“She would come here, yes. But not to watch, let’s play, damn, he is so good,” Mandela said with a smirk on her face.
The roles changed pretty quickly. Angela was all over the character Lucifer. She started talking about how charming, odd and a great personality Lucifer possessed. Angela was never the type of person to enjoy these kinds of series, only sitcoms. Yet, she was even more addicted to the series than Mandela.
“Next one! Next one! Or wait, don’t you have a class, in like five minutes?” Angela asked. The timetables were plastered on their wall, and they knew at what time their roommate came and went.
“Uh, skipping one day is fine,” Mandela said and giggled with her friend.
