[Lily Bird Restaurant]
“...Yes, I’m ready to order the crab special on the menu. And for drinks, whatever Ian is having, thanks,” Rae gave her order and smiled at the waiter who looked too nervous to be the waiter for Ian and his date.
“Hmm, bring me the same, and the best campaign you’ve. First day at work? Or let me guess-”
“A huge fan of yours sir. I hope I don’t lose my job now,” he said nervously.
“You’re good. Thank you, bring the champagne first,” Ian said while dismissing him.
“So…” Raelynn started talking.
It had been a long time since the little mishap in the club happened. And ever since then, they’ve been going on dates and spending time with each other whenever and wherever they are free.
But, there was one thing that Ian hadn’t tried—that was to get into bed again. He had his reasons for why he didn’t bring up the topic, nor try to get onto her pants. And the main and the only problematic reason was that she was special.
She was special to him. Ever since Ian had started satisfying his needs in this universe, all he had done was get under the sheets with whoever he found attractive. Regardless of the emotions, and feelings that he had for them, he slept. But when he thought about Raelynn the same way, it was something that he couldn’t see himself doing.
“Movie hit #2 in local theaters and top five internationally. This is huge, you know,” Ian said with a smile.
“Yeah, after the two movies that flopped, this truly is something. The more I check the reviews and see how people reacted to the movie, the more I feel like what we did was so great that we’d win awards shortly. Maybe some EMA’s. Who knows? And you know, people saw something in the friendship of Diesel and Walker-” Rae started to talk about the movie as it was something she created with so much passion.
Her eyes were glistening in hope and happiness, and again, Ian was reminded of a hundred reasons why he was starting to have feelings for her.
“-You know what Mr. Glin was talking about in the interview last night?”
“No, and I don’t care,” Ian replied sternly.
“What?” she asked back, pure shock written on her face.
“I shouldn’t have even brought the topic in between us, today. Work is work, not us. Now, let’s talk about what you told me the last day?”
“What last day?” As she was asking, a blush crept on its way up to her neck, and she smiled slyly.
“The last day I was inside of you. What did you mean by you enjoyed looking at me and Scarlett?” Ian asked straightly.
“I- I just did,” she replied truthfully.
Hence, he knew what the surprise for her was going to be. The one thought that he had in his mind for days finally was out in the air. He wanted to try something with Raelynn, and from the expressions, she gave away sitting right in front of him explained that she wanted the same thing as him.

The movie was trending everywhere. Including social media, movie theaters, people, and in fact, the entire world was in the wave of the Fast and the Furious considering how original and unique the idea of it is.

@Ian Renner had done a great job with #theFastandthefurious. I can’t begin to explain how good it is, as a movie in about every aspect. Go watch if you haven’t.

As a car-crazy lunatic, I’ve got to say, I felt like doing illegal street racing all over again. No wonder people called out Ian out of #jealousy. Come on! Watch the movie and learn what #family is!

People who had blamed Ian during his little cascade looked as if they were joining him in the fun of street racing. More than half the people who were fans of Hollywood and had taken the job of looking after celebrities (which no one gave them) were worried about how a director handles himself after a little pressure.
But after the movie’s release, every platform was flooded with good reviews and discussions to which Ian had replied in a friendly manner.

Apart from good reviews, there was also bad and negative feedback for the movie on media platforms.
One could guess that those were being spread by companies that were jealous of Ian’s comeback—nevertheless, they were there. And who could blame people for getting the need to pour fuel into the fire?
@win.the.racebymind.notheart
Worst movie ever. Why do people even jump for it? Ffs, it’s not worth it. Don’t waste your time with #thefastandthefurious
@Mamas.man
I agree with people who are against the #1 trending topic, #thefastandthefurious. Like wth y’all? Find something better to do than spend money on that. @Ian Renner, we deserve better movies, please.

“I can’t believe these people, why would they keep spreading negative reviews?” Mason’s brother’s son, Rick Striver asked loud enough for Mason to hear.
“That’s nothing new, focus on the good. And I’m glad it’s going great, although a part of me still wishes to be with Ian and in his next five years, the most important time of his career,” Mason said with a smile.
Mason and Rick were currently on their way to the vacation Ian reserved for Mason. It was a trip to Kauai where Mason could rest and relieve the stress and weight that he had been lifting for so long. A part of him loved the idea of taking the trip with Rick, the second closest person to him after his brother passed away.
“Yeah, but it’s okay, uncle. Look on the bright side, you’re always going to be there for him and he knows it, right?” he asked looking at the old man who sat relaxed in his chair. “More than that, a private jet to travel, and then an awesome vacation… Worth your journey.”
“Yeah, but there’s a lot of things in the way for him. My only regret would be not having his back when he needs the most-”
“You know what? I’ve known you for more than 14 years, and if I ever learned something about you for all this time, it would be how you’d never leave someone during their worse. Likewise, I’m sure you’d find a way to help him,” Rick said making Mason smile.
Mason smiled for a single amusing factor.
“You sure know how to study people.”
In Mason’s life, Rick has been an interesting character. He was someone who studied and read people inside out. The only complaint Rick’s girlfriend had was to stop reading her like a book.
“That’s my talent.”
And just like that, Rick was right. Mason had promised himself to help Ian when the time comes, and the battle with Jeff Sanson plays its high end. Although he retired and had no more say in the studio or anything related to what Ian handles, he still had the respect he was given by Ian.
Ever since the beginning, although Ian could have simply taken over the company with the major shareholding rights, he had given respect to Mason considering how long he had dragged the company without much help.
Nevertheless, if there’s anyone who could help Ian with an upper hand, it’d be Mason, including everything Ian had been collecting with time such as political power and media power.
“Well, well well, when is Ava going to be there?” Mason asked, looking away from Rick’s face to everything outside the jet.
It was beautiful. The waters, trees, and everything else that covered his sight made him feel just like what Rick implied. The weight he had been carrying for years, thinking about the company day and night was finally off.
“She must be already there. I don’t even know what’s her fear of flying with less people. For God’s sake, whatever. Should I open the champagne? I think I should, and have you talked to Mr. Humpson about my new business idea?”
The conversation from there started flowing naturally, as they both started to admire the beauty of a wonderful vacation.
