Chapter 298 | Angelina Jolie

Chapter 298 | Angelina Jolie

Ian waited a few more minutes until the person he was expecting walked through the door, which he had been staring at for a while. If only stares could make doors open, his gaze would have made the door fall off its hinges.

"She's here, sir," Murphy said, and Ian's jaw dropped as he saw the woman who followed Murphy.

She was the spitting image of the person who existed in Ian's original world, from her physical appearance to the way she looked at him. Ian felt a surge of happiness and excitement flood his mind when he saw her.

Likewise, she looked excited to be there too. Ian quickly concealed his excitement and adopted his usual businessman demeanor.

"And you are?" Ian asked.

Ian had been in this world for almost two and a half years and had done every research possible to determine if the actors and actresses he knew existed in this world. However, he had not found anyone else he recognized besides the people he had already discovered.

After struggling to recall names repeatedly, he realized that no one else he knew was at the top of the industry in this world. Therefore, he knew that the woman he recognized could not be a well-known actress. This was why he had to act in a certain way and not reveal his excitement.

"I'm Angelina H. Jolie. I can't believe I actually get to meet you!" she said in a high-pitched tone at the end.

Ian smiled.

"It's good to meet you too. Why are you here?" he asked in the most human way possible. Instead of thanking her for finding him, he chose to be more courteous and professional because he didn't want to seem crazy.

"Ian! Uh! I came here hoping for an appointment. I wanted to audition for your next movie, if it's possible. I didn't mean to meet you today, but this went great."

"Well, I guess it's your lucky day. When I start pre-production, I'll let you know. Murphy, get her details," Ian said and let Angelina Jolie walk out of his sight, of course, after she thanked him numerous times.

A hint of joy filled his heart as he watched her leave. Angelina Jolie, a true icon, found him when he least expected it, out of the blue, and made him wonder about his luck.

Because he knew how important Angelina Jolie could be in this world. If she became an influential person, it would not only benefit him as a director, but she would also have a positive impact on the entire world.

Because Ian had personally observed how all the people he met in this world were similar to the people in his previous world, comparing them was easy. However, their unique fame and upbringing made them react to things in this world differently. Nevertheless, they were still the same person, which was why finding Angelina was such a huge thing for Ian.

Angelina Jolie was an important figure in the entertainment industry in Ian's previous world for various reasons. She was a successful actress, known for her roles in various blockbuster films, such as "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," and "Maleficent." Additionally, Jolie was a respected filmmaker, having directed and produced several critically acclaimed movies, including "Unbroken" and "First They Killed My Father."

Moreover, Angelina Jolie was a humanitarian and activist, using her platform to raise awareness and advocate for various causes. She was a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and had been actively involved in humanitarian work for over a decade. In 2013, she was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for her philanthropic efforts.

Jolie was also an advocate for women's rights, particularly in the context of sexual violence and exploitation. In 2012, she launched the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI), which aimed to raise awareness and prevent sexual violence in conflict zones around the world. She had also been vocal about her own experiences with breast cancer and the importance of early detection and prevention.

Overall, Angelina Jolie's impact extended beyond her success as an actress and filmmaker. Her humanitarian work and advocacy made her an important figure in the global community, inspiring others to use their own platforms to create positive change.

Ian felt at ease and excited knowing that Angelina was a real person in this world, and he felt even better knowing that he had the power to bring her to her full potential. Murphy walked back inside the office with a confused look on his face.

“Uh, sir. I got her contact details, but was it necessary?” Murphy asked, looking at Ian.

“What do you mean, was it necessary?” Ian asked back.

“Oh, just… I don’t know. There are at least two actors who have no name in the industry sitting in front of our office daily, and I didn't know that they get chances…”

Ian chuckled. Murphy surely didn’t know what was happening, which made it even more hilarious in Ian’s eyes.

“Well, don’t worry. She isn’t just any other actress.”

“You know her?” Murphy asked, surprised.

“I kind of do. And yeah, don’t send me all those actors every day, but let me know their names with their portfolios.”

Murphy nodded, understanding the fact that Ian was known as someone who treasured hidden gems and wanted to find what they deserved in the industry. Ever since he started making movies, he had been doing that, which surprisingly made almost everyone in the industry appreciate him even more and even envy him a little.

“Yes, will do, sir. I’ve prepared your suit for your tomorrow’s party. I’ll bring that in a few minutes-”

“Invite Angelina to the party, please. I’m pretty sure she’d star in one of my next movies.”

Murphy frowned but covered his expression immediately. He knew better than to question Ian’s judgments or words because Ian was someone who exceeded the expectations of his own words.

“Okay, I’ll send the invitation today itself. Anything more?”

“Can you bring me the reports of Inception? I need to see how well it’s doing now in theaters.”

“I’ll bring them in. Uh, sir, the Oscars are coming in four more months.”

Ian’s eyes widened at the mention. He had thought about the next Oscars for a moment, but he knew better than to submit the movies this year because the chances would be higher next year, and he wanted to wait for a year for several reasons.

“I’ll see to it. Bring me the reports, thanks.”

The submitting of the movies was solely the decision of the studios and the distributors, which was why Ian knew he had the entire decision in his hand.

“I better think this through,” he thought to himself and went back to his work on his laptop.

“Oh, the suit is here!” Raelynn walked in with a big smile on her face.
