Chapter 69.

Chapter 69.

The very next day Bale and Scarlet were ready to take the screen tests.

For that Ian got the head designer of the project to take Bale’s measurements and make a Batman suit for him to use for the screen test. Ian wanted Scarlet Johnson to be there too.

It was mainly because Ian wanted to see how well Bale could act with visual and verbal cues from other actors on set. For this, Ian wanted to see the chemistry between him and Scarlet and if they would fit perfectly in the scenes with each other.

Basically the screen-tests were being used to analyze the performance, wardrobe, makeup, and the on-screen chemistry between the actors. If a director’s project has multiple leads, they need to ensure that the actors can work well together and have good chemistry. Screen tests let them see how an actor performs for the camera, their on-screen chemistry with their co-stars, and whether they have the right presence for the role.

Bale signed the NDA right after Ian said he was suited for the role. They waited for Theodore to be there, for legal reasons and then Bale signed off as Batman in Batman Begins.

[...]

“Good morning, Mr. Bale.” Ian greeted Bale as soon as he came to the studio.

"It's Christian, please, Mr. Renner, we're going to be working together." Christian smiled.

"Then you should call me Ian," Ian replied.

The studio was all setup and ready for the screen test. The green screen, cameras, lighting, and everything else was ready to go.

The suit fit him perfectly from the body but had to get measures to fit him in height. It looked a bit even with shoes, so Ian had asked to get the other necessary measurements.

“Hey there, Scarlet,” Ian, who was sitting on the director's chair, greeted Scarlet Johnson who came inside the studio with a huge grin.

“Good morning, Ian. How are things going?”

“We were just waiting for you, Claire, get her to the dressing room,” Ian said with his full focus on the little screen in front of him. “Oh and… good luck Scarlet,” He said with a smile looking at the waving Scarlet.

Everyone was ready with their outfits and was now in front of the camera. They had already started to look like Batman and Rachel. Since it was kind of a special day for the entire crew, almost everyone was there. Even the make-up artists and the prop crew. The studio had one hell of a thrill in its environment.

Within minutes the same scene they did separately was being attempted by Bale and Scarlet.

[...] The scene was perfectly executed by Bale and Scarlet, Ian saw the perfect chemistry between them; which technically was caught on camera. The way Bale acted all loose around her and even when his body movements showed that he was comfortable around her, Ian knew that nothing should be changed in the original script regarding their associations.

Two hours passed by adjusting them to the scene, scenario and explaining how it should look like. It was not easy at all since it was the first day, both of them were shook a bit with the whole superhero concept, but with some explanations and comic guidance, Ian made it possible for them to get into the role.

“Someone like you. Someone who’ll stand against the corruption,” Bale said, giving her a glance.

“Cut! Give me five minutes to see how it went,” Ian watched the scene over and over to see how their eyes met. To see how Rachel looked at Batman, and it looked almost perfect in his eyes; good enough it would only need a few adjustments to look perfect.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

“That was a good shot! I think you both have the potential to play the characters without changing the script. This is great. We will have to check with the other actors as well, I think we are done here, thank you so much for coming!” Ian said and smiled while walking closer, giving them his hand and congratulations. Everyone else followed Ian and congratulated them as well.

“It’s a wrap for today y’all,” Ian said while walking out of the studio.

“So this is the basic idea I have regarding the car. The model, shape and every little detail must look clear in my opinion. And, well for the theme of Batman he is the superhero with the coolest gadgets.” Ian said while looking at the picture in front of him.

He had got a professional graphic designer to create the perfect Batmobile he wanted. The tumbler looked cool and he had made some modifications to suit the theme. The tumbler was timeless, which basically meant even after several years people would be in awe of it. And that was exactly what Ian wanted.

“I think we can do this, so these are the details, yeah?” Stain asked, looking at the next document.

The description Ian had given to suit ‘The Tumbler’ was real and he so desperately wanted the same Batmobile.

In Ian's previous world, the idea of the whole gadget included its weight which was 2.5 tons but with the ability to still go 0-60mph in less than six seconds. It also had a top speed of 110mph and could make unassisted jumps of up to 30 feet. The 500-HP Chevy 350 V8 engine turned four 44” Super Swamper tires.

Hybrid of a Lamborghini and Humvee.

Recommend to make using fiberglass – would barely stop hail, let alone a bullet.

Six-Eight would be needed.

Tumblers must be capable and no CGI can be used for stunts.

“Yeah, they are. To be honest I want this model to look as real as possible. In fact, I don’t want stunts to be done, which is why I’m here. You will make a real Batmobile with the ability of doing so many things Batman did,”

“Uh- Are you sure, sir?” Stain was looking unsure as ever.

Stain was looking unsure as ever. A huge car that works and does stunts didn’t seem to be impossible because he was one of the best automobile engineers of the company. R.N.V was the best automobile company and for Ian’s request the CEO made arrangements to meet up with Stain, one-on-one.

“Of course I am, is it possible? To be honest, right now my mind is set where if you can’t make it happen, someone can barely make it happen. Can you?” Ian questioned.

“Yes, I can. I will first need to make a vision diagram then focus on a mini model, you even have mentioned the materials and all, so it won't be much of a problem. But I’d contact you right away if I need to know anything. Also, this looks dope. I will try my best to give life to it,” Stain said with a smirk.

He was someone who loved to always experiment new things. New car models, designs, new materials, basically someone who want to make impossible things in the eyes of everyone, possible. Which was why Ian thought he would suit the job more.

“It was a pleasure doing business with you,” Ian stood up knowing the deal just came to an end; an end where it actually began.

“Same here, Mr. Renner,” Stain greeted and shook his hands.

Ian went to meet Stain right after the auditions knowing Batmobile and the other gadgets can take more time in the project. The engineers he hired were already working on some more gadgets.

The gadgets Ian had been thinking a lot lately included, The bat-grappler which was used for everything including scaling buildings to nabbing bad guys. Batsuit which basically doubled his armor. The bat-cape which was made out of a specialized material that is very soft to touch but is capable of becoming very rigid, yet lightweight. The Guano bombs, Batman audio listening device, Bat-A-Blades which basically are knives but the version of Batman, Bat-goggles, Sonic Bat -Beacon the gadget which triggers to call a swarm of bats and last but not least, the Bat-Stabber.

Ian had thoroughly thought through everything and had given the commission already to start making the gadgets since they played a very important part in the movie.

Walking to the office he asked Murphy to come meet him as soon as possible. Murphy was doing some of the documental work but stood up and followed Ian in an instant.

“How did it go, sir?” Murphy asked.

“They said okay, arrange the files within 48 hours if possible? And ask Ward to come here,” Ian asked knowing Murphy had been doing a lot of work lately.

“Yeah, for sure,”

Martin Ward came to the office within seconds and took a seat in front of Ian knowing it is going to be a somewhat long discussion.

“Have a seat, Murphy. We still have lots of more things to do,” Ian said and chuckled. “So, how about the locations in London? Are they available when we need them?,” Ian said

“Yes, sir. I contacted them and they said every place we requested will be ready on time. It is lucky that they perfectly understood our situation,”

“It’s not luck, Murphy. It’s what fame does,” Ian said with a smirk. “How about the locations in Iceland? We would need to be there to shoot the Shadows of Training ground,”

“It has already been checked, no problem with that,”

“What are we gonna do for the young Bruce?” Martin questioned.

The story included a major part of Bruce’s childhood. And for that, they’d need a kid who acts and Ian had just the perfect kid in his mind.
