Mason knew what might have happened. Ever since William’s statement, Mason knew something must be coming their way. It was because he knew what kind of a person William was.
“It’s the doings of Zero MediaWorks. I can’t believe they’d go this low, it just clicked to me that they own shares from the newspaper.” Mason said and sighed loudly. “Must have paid the guy, Francis. Half of what he said were false, uh,” Mason was feeling uneasy at the thought of their reputation.
“Hmm…” Ian couldn’t say anything more.
“This is probably because of how jealous they are that their movie flopped. We gotta do something real quick, otherwise, the consequences might be bad. Bad enough for you to end up in jail,” Mason said.
-
“Sir, we can’t let you in, there’s a private party going on inside,” The muscular bodyguard with a scary beard and mustache. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt which made him look even bigger.
“I need to talk to the manager, say it’s Ian… Ian Renner,” Ian said while whispering the last words so no one would hear his name.
“Guess what, I’m Ryan Gosling. The main character of your movie, the irony!” The guy mocked and stood tall in front of the main door.
“I’m glad to know you watched it, but right now, I’m in a hurry,” Ian said and tried to get in but of course got pushed back by the tall man.
“Come with permission, you’ll go through me. If not, I will make you leave, director,” He said and joked about Ian calling himself ‘Ian’; the director.
“Urgh!” Ian yelled in annoyance and walked back to his car trying not to accept defeat.
He woke up the very next day after thinking a lot throughout the previous day. Mason had told him to get some rest and not worry about it, but Ian couldn’t help himself but kept thinking more and more about what happened. He kept cussing the body owner over and over.
“Stupid motherfu*ker! Who doesn’t even know how to handle himself! No wonder I had to work my ass off just to earn trust from a few people!” Ian said and groaned while he was thinking of a way.
That was when Ian came up with the idea to prove himself wrong. He wanted to see if the CCTV camera records are still available. Normally, they are taken away and saved knowing stuff like this happens, but Ian wanted to know the situation with ‘Marine Divine’.
[...] Ian wasted no time going to Mason and saying so they somehow can get permission to meet the manager of Marine Divine with no interruptions. He wasn’t even in the mood to open his phone, knowing his notifications are going to blow it up due to so many reasons.
In fact, yesterday he was feeling reckless and annoyed. Every time he tried to call Mason, after seeing a notification, he would put the phone away. At the end, he gave up all of his thoughts for once and slept without thinking anymore. Yet, in the middle of the night, Ian got an amazing idea.
He opened the doors of the office and went in with a frown. Mason was sitting while his back turned to the door. In fact, he had turned his chair for the opposite side and was thinking so hard he didn’t even notice Ian coming in from the door.
“I want help, uncle,” Ian said while sitting in the front chair.
Mason was surprised, but he turned to see Ian sitting and waiting for a response. “Didn’t even notice you coming in, how are you?” He asked without thinking more.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“I’m fine, uncle. But I really need help with something. Marine Divine, the club. I want you to get the manager to talk with me. Maybe the CCTV footage will help us, you know?” Ian said in a single breath and kept his gaze on Mason’s.
“That’s a great idea, and not like we have many choices here right now, do we? The word is already being spread and I have very few choices and decisions to make here that I like,” Mason said and shook his head.
“I can manage the decision-making, uncle. Contact the club as soon as possible,” Ian said. "I don't want to post anything anywhere and gather more attention. Also it would be better if we have some proof,"
“Yeah, okay. See these comments for yourself, by the way,” Mason said and turned the laptop screen towards Ian. “A few hours is enough to make a man blind in Hollywood. It obviously means, things will be a little different now,” He said and stood up. Picking his phone up, he walked outside the office to make some calls.
Seeing the laptop screen, Ian didn’t have to scroll more.
The trend was followed by another fan article that had been made out of the story which already existed in the gossip topics.
“This might be an article which can include my entire personal opinion about the new story of Ian Renner being racist. But in my defense, I’m a black woman who wouldn’t want my husband or my children to face such an incident one day. This article can also be taken as something I want people to read so that they understand how much living in the USA can make our lives difficult.
We, me, and my family watched Home Alone thrice with different relatives and my five kids enjoyed it to the maximum. That’s where I get to know who Ian Renner is. A young, handsome director who tries to give out the maximum efforts for his fans and is a very skillful talented young director. With that, not long after he releases his newest project Resident Evil. And honestly, everyone who has been reading articles on him might have seen the same start. About who he is. About what he did.
And then, even though the book was a massive success, he won millions of hearts all over again by La La Land, and within not more than a week people loved it. People loved the movie, which was written by Ian Renner.
As a black woman, when I heard the news and read and read, at one point, it didn't make any sense. But when I look though his past, I believe that it is possible for him to do such a thing! The majority of the article….”

Don’t be discouraged! I’m another Black American! It can be hard at times, we will get through this soon enough! Have faith in the laws and regulations as I’m sure that they would at least bring justice for this crime!

Oh madam, I’m so sorry for what happened from Ian, and now you have lost faith in all of us, white people. The color doesn't matter, our hearts do! Regardless, I hope that they bring justice for the person who got beaten up! And especially since this is Hollywood and it should and must provide inspirational and positive people, I hope that jerk goes on his way out just like he came!

Ian Renner is not someone who does that! This is all a set-up! I have met Ian Renner once and I, too, am a black American. He didn’t make me feel any less than all the other fans who were with us! Don’t spread false info, at least wait till Ian is proved guilty. A newspaper and a photo can do anything these days! It will always be ‘your choice’ to trust or not trust and spread or not!

Oh boy, the way your youngest kid asked about what’s wrong with being black is sad asf! Like, man! They loved Ian Renner and now they’re asking that… I really hope Ian won’t be proved guilty, and if he did, it would be a very huge thing in Hollywood history! Also, tell your kid that there’s nothing wrong with being born as anything!
Ian couldn’t handle it anymore. He closed the laptop with a huge thud. He will prove he is innocent, one way or another. Ian thought to himself when the door opened by itself gaining all of his focus.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” Ian asked seeing Eloise walk inside the office.
“Was going to ask how you were doing. So, how are you?” She asked and took a seat beside him.
“I’m sorry for all this mess.” He sighed. “Just as we were gaining a bit of exposure it had to be ruined like this, and now… Many people seemed to hate me for no reason. Like, I knew I was doing bad back then, but I’m sure I’m not someone who does things like that…” Ian said while keeping his gaze focused on the front instead of her.
“Yeah, I know. I might not know who Ian was before, but I’m sure even the most childish version of yours wouldn’t have punched a guy for just being… Black. It just doesn’t sum up. Mason called me here knowing your mood is probably in the lowest, Also, don't you know how good La La Land is doing? Don't be discouraged!” She said and tried to lift his mood.
“I will solve this shit,” Ian said, loud enough for both him and her to hear. It was almost as if he was promising himself.
