Chapter 297 | Must be a dream?!

Chapter 297 | Must be a dream?!

It was Natalie.

The female actress acted with Ian Renner and gave life to the character Kiara, who was also the main character of the movie. As Kiara's shooting came to an end, the actors and actresses were diverted from their focus on the movie or the actors who played an important role during the sessions.

"Raelynn Sawyer, good to see you!" Natalie said, hugging Raelynn immediately.

"Yes, I could say the same, again. Please come in. Were you the one who he said was waiting for me?" Raelynn asked as both women started walking inside the mansion.

They walked around the chandelier, which was basically in pieces and inside.

"How on Earth did that fall?" Raelynn was the first one to question it.

Natalie chuckled. "It was stupid, to be honest. They were bringing it fine; one guy put it down to scratch his back, and the entire thing fell due to unbalancing. I almost burst out laughing, then I remembered my place," Nat said and shrugged.

"Must’ve been funny, no kidding. Why are you here today?"

Natalie shifted in her seat. "Well, I'm here to thank Mr. Renner-"

Raelynn looked at her skeptically. She didn't know that Ian had done anything worth her thanks, but she also knew that some parts of his businesses were his own.

"Why?"

"Oh yes, he helped me a lot on set. I've done a few lead roles before, but Kiara was something entirely different. And if it wasn't for Mr. Renner, things wouldn't have been the same. Ah, I might have even gotten kicked out of playing the role…" Natalie said, taking the bag that she had in her hand.

She placed it in front of Raelynn and smiled. "I'm not an ungrateful bitch. Is it possible for you to-"

Raelynn smiled understanding where she was coming from. "I'll make sure that Ian gets the bag. No worries. Although, I have to admit-"

Before Raelynn was able to speak her mind out, she saw Valerie walking towards the two women from the corner of her eyes.

"Fresh juice?"

"That would be lovely."

"Valerie, make something fresh for her, please."

"On it, Ms. Sawyer!" Valerie walked away, leaving the two women alone.

"You were saying, Ms. Sawyer?" Natalie pushed her more.

"Please call me Rae—or Raelynn, I don't mind either way. I'll have to admit the fact that the way you both kissed on set, multiple times, made me actually believe you guys are in love-"

As soon as the kiss was mentioned, Raelynn saw Natalie blushing hard. Although she was trying not to show it, the former understood what she was trying to hide.

"Haha… It was a good kiss, not gonna lie," Natalie said and smiled. "I should be heading out; I have a shoot to attend in thirty minutes."

"Ah, so soon. The juice will be here soon. Have a drink and go."

Natalie smiled politely. "Sure thing."

"Exactly-"

"Is this Natalie?!" Niko's voice echoed through the halls as he walked in with a huge smile.

[Renner's Studio]

While everything else was ongoing for the party, Ian was drowned in his own work, trying to finish projects he had in mind. His plan was to talk about his launch of Resident Evil in his party, so that famous people in the industry would know about it—and share it on all social media.

The hype was something he wanted to bring up so that there would be many people willing to try Resident Evil. The marketing team approved it, knowing how many people loved Resident Evil just for the books and movies.

He was editing on his computer when the door knocked loudly.

“Murphy, come in. What’s up?” Ian asked curiously.

“There’s someone waiting for approval for you to meet.”

Ian frowned, knowing his entire schedule was cleared and he didn't know about this sudden meeting.

“Who is it?”

“An actress. She says she needs to talk to you,” Murphy said, frowning. “Sir – I mean, Ian, I didn't want to send her in because she hadn't made an appointment, but she's saying she’s in a hurry, and your decision is what I'd tell her. So, please.”

Murphy asked and looked at Ian.

“Show me her, please. Pull up the cameras.”

Murphy did what Ian asked, and Ian continued to look at the screen as he typed things and brought them into view.

“God, I didn’t realize how many cameras we have. It’s a lot. How on Earth does anyone find anything here?”

Murphy chuckled.

“You just need a little practice, and you're golden,” he said, searching for the frame he was looking for.

Then, he showed the screen to Ian as soon as he found it.

“Where is the person?” Ian asked again, unable to see the person with everyone moving around. “And why are there so many people?”

“It’s their off time. Many are simply going home.”

Ian nodded.

“Oh, here she is….”

Murphy pointed at the figure, and suddenly Ian felt as if his voice went dry. He felt as if what he was seeing wasn’t real – couldn’t be real.

“Is it-”

“Didn’t catch her name, sir.”

“What?”

“I wanted to ask if it's possible for you to meet someone first. My apologies. I'll ask for the details as soon as possible.”

Ian frowned at Murphy, who looked back at Ian with an apologetic face. It was his mistake that he hadn't brought any information, but Ian forgot everything as soon as he saw who she was.

For all he knew, it would be little to impossible to meet her because he thought he had done all the research about people from his original world and succeeded in finding as many as he could in this world.

“I’ll go down and meet her. Uh – just send her in,” Ian said while stuttering, which was something he rarely did.

Murphy said nothing but nodded and walked away.

The person who was yet to come inside was a well-known American actress. She was widely recognized for her striking physical features. She was known for her full lips, high cheekbones, and sharp jawline. She had a tall, lean, and athletic build with long arms and legs. She had mesmerizing, almond-shaped green eyes that are often highlighted with dark eyeliner. Her long, dark brown hair was often styled in loose waves or pulled back into a sleek bun. And as far as Ian knew, the person he was expecting must have had at least slightly different names because only he knew how much he had searched for her name.

“This must be a fucking dream,” he thought to himself and closed his laptop. He knew he wasn't going to get anything done.
