Chapter 64 Only I Have the Brains

Chapter 64 Only I Have the Brains

Crysa fought against her restraints as she tried to bite through them to get at the bastard in front of her.

The smile on his face only made her seethe further.

“Oh daughter, it is wonderful to see you too.”

“Go die in a fire.”

Her degenerate old man only laughed as he prepared another syringe, pressing it against her skin and injecting its contents.

It hurt, a dull pain that traveled up her arm and into her chest.

“Whatever you’re about to do, it’s gonna fail.”

A twitch in his eye turned him back towards her.

“The Plan is already in motion and nothing you, or that foolish girl can do will stop it.”

Another syringe, another stab of pain.

He looked her in the eye before going back to prepare another syringe.

“The experiment may have… grown, but that is within expectations.”

“I’ve seen her, Father, and nothing could prepare you or dear Monica for that.”

A slap across her face.

“Enough! I’ve tolerated you long enough… Now is the time your purpose is fulfilled.”

“You already made me kill my friend’s parents. What, are you gonna take my brain and stick it into a jar?”

He smiled, and for once Crysa felt fear instead of hatred for the old man.

“Something like that, my dear child.”

Before she could react or look, Crysa felt something fall off of her.

Her head turned to stare at the strange sensation.

Another piece sloughed off.

Crysa wished she could have screamed, could have done anything in that moment.

But it was clear that things like moving and even breathing were no longer her decision to make.

For on the floor, was the meat from her right arm.

Internally she tried to comprehend what was happening to her,

Her flesh was falling off of her body, pieces and parts, organs and muscles.

It all just seemed to slide off of her nerves.

And that was all she was, a pile of nerve endings being held by some kind of device.

Only her eyes were still connected to her, and despite being able to move them when she shouldn’t be able to do even that, she stared at the man she knew as father with a question.

Why, why are you doing this to me?!

He looked away, “you think of me a monster no doubt, a freak of a person, for doing this to my own flesh and blood. Even if you were all clones, it still begs the question, yes?”

He pressed a button as he gathered the viscera that used to be Crysa’s body and stored it in a capsule.

“My goal was to have a body that was perfection itself. Genetically superior to everyone and everything. Immortal, indomitable, and unyielding to even the physics of reality.”

The capsule compressed as a device began to liquify the rest of Crysa’s body, pushing and plunging the contents over and over.

“You children were that goal originally. The perfect body grew from parts that shared my blood. All that needed to happen was for you to mature to a certain point, and then harvest you all for the necessary genetic information. The chromosomes within my body would anaylse the data, built the new genetic structure, and create for me, the perfect body.”

He shook his head, “but what did that goal matter, when she could do it with a thought?!”

The contents, finally done with whatever they did to Crysa’s old meat suit, plunged into a few syringes next to a machine.

Crysa could only stare as her father sat on the machine and watched as the syringes that were her shoved themselves into his body.

“Now, the data I have, the formula from those two, and their child, are all I need to finally perfect my solution. Once I obtain this body, the plague of humanity will end, and my new race shall rise from its ashes.”

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Her body funneled into her father’s flesh, and Crysa noticed the familiar glow of her power activate.

She seethed as she saw her father laugh maniacally, so certain of his victory that it made her sick.

Well… not sick, but disgusted surely.

“Now, all that’s left is the child of that woman! Once I have her and your dear youngest brother, I will have my perfect body!”

Crysa felt a solution fill inside the strange tank that she was in, the silver fixtures and red tinted glass painting the world around her in a red tint.

“But until that time, you will have to remain here Crysa. Though victory is all but certain, I may need your DNA again, so enjoy your time in that tube until I return.”

Crysa wanted to scream, wanted to claw her way out of the tube, but she had no arms and no mought to do so.

So instead she prayed, trying to send a thought to the one person she could even hope to count on.

Chimera, please! Stop this bastard and get me out of here!!

She knew it was in vain, but it was all she had to keep herself from going mad.

Her Father walked out of the room as she lamented, and it felt like hours had passed as she stared at the red tinted world around her.

That is, until a door slid open.

Chimera walked down a hallway just as she noticed Pox walk out of a room with sliding doors, a self satisfied smirk plastered on his face.

Splaying herself against the wall and shifting her body to match the wall behind her, she watched as the target of their mission walked past her, and into the direction Sarah was heading.

That could be both good and bad.

She shook her head, Sarah was definitely capable enough to end the scientist.

But who knew what Monica would do in that situation.

So, just before he crossed the hallway, Chimera took a small part of her body, and threw it on the doctor's shoes, coating them just behind the heel.

With that in place she could follow the bastard after she checked out the room he came from.

It was a worry that drove her towards the room, a feeling that she needed to be there right now.

Worried it was some kind of trap, she waited until the doctor left before trying her hand at checking the place out.

Instead, as she entered the room, another sight greeted her.

Three brains, floating in red tinted glass with their entire spinal cords and eyes still attached stared at her with animated reactions.

Chimera walked towards the brains as she noticed one of them trying to get her attention, moving their eyes up and down in a shaky pattern.

It resembled her own tube, the one she had found herself in when she woke up as Sarah.

Which didn’t surprise her as much as the brain now floating to make eye contact with her.

“Can you hear me?”

It was silly to ask, but she felt like she needed to.

And to her surprise, the eyes shook up and down, as if they were trying to nodd.

“Okay, I was prepared for something weird, but this… wow.”

Using a tendril from her arm, she reached into the tank from above, a lid hissing as she pressed inside and floated it within the viscous red material.

The brain, guided to the tendril, moving it up next to the brain as it softly inserted itself into the neuronal tissues.

“Oh thank you! Gosh golly gee, it sure is nice to see you miss.”

Chimera felt a smile come to her lips as she felt the sincerity from this brain.

Well, I’m happy to help. Do you mind if I ask what's going on? Why are you all brains in jars?

The brain sent an image of Pox, and the horrid method on which he turned them all into their current selves.

“It’s plum awful miss. I saw it clear when he did it to some young girl you see? She claimed she was his daughter, or at least that's the gist of it that I got from them conversating and such. She’s that pretty thing over in the tube next to mine!”

Chimera jolted at that.

Did the doctor guy say her name at all?

The brain, a man named Hector, nodded through their connection.

“Yeah yeah! I remember it as clear as the morning sunrise! He called her Crysa or something. She was pretty beat up even before then too miiss. I think that’s how he got her to lose her skin and all that.”

Chimera turned to stare at the brain that Hector mentioned, and saw it staring back at her.

“Crysa, is that you?”

The brain did a movement with its eyes, which Chimera believed it was her way of confirming.

“Hector, I’ve got a plan to get you better, but I’m going to need to change you in order to do it. You won’t be strictly… human anymore…

“Oh pretty young thing, I’m fine with whatever you choose. My only other option is waiting in here for that doctor fella or catching a ride in a new body, you best bet your buttons I’m willing to change that.”

Alright, prepare for… well… awkwardness.

She sent a pulse down the tube as it absorbed Hector’s brain into her body, and soon Chimera was combining his DNA into her own to create a new blob form for the man.

While that was happening, she rushed to Crysa’s brain to do the same, watching as her friend slid into her body.

Hey Crysa, that you?

“Holy shit Chimera, thank you for being here! He ate my body! That fucker ATE me!”

Calm down Crysa, It’s alright now, I got you.

Chimera felt the connection forming between her and Crysa, the knowledge folding inside her brain.

“He’s going after Sarah, we got to stop him!”

Chimera was about to agree before Hector stopped them both with a mental poke.

“Now hold on here little ladies, before we do anything, let's help the gal over there!”

Chimera turned to the last brain, the eyes in the tube regarding her curiously.

Focusing her tendril into the tube, she witnessed the tendril move on its own as the brain hooked up to it.

The moment it did, a surge of power launched into Chimera’s brain, along with the brain itself.

“Well, this is definitely strange. Nice to meet you once again, Chimera.”

Chimera felt her own brain do a double take as she recognized the brain immediately.

“Ms. Magica?!”
