Chapter 31 Blob VRS Rockman

Chapter 31 Blob VRS Rockman

Chimera lunged at him, sparks jumping from her hands as she tried to slash him before the rock suit closed on Terralord.

Too slow!

The suit closed and her claws raked harmlessly over the suit.

“Too bad girly!”

A pillar of stone launched her into the air, followed by a volley of concrete.

When they landed on her, Chimera felt a wince as the weight of the rocks was denser than she thought.

Damnit, he’s using that ability to make them tougher. I can’t let any of them hit!

Chimera tucked into a ball as she brought her water kinesis to bear, coating her body as the rocks hit the surface of the liquid.

Despite their speed, the water slowed them enough to stop their deadly momentum, and the dense rocks fell to the earth.

Chimera glared at Terralord, who had set up a few rock faces that looked like cannons.

“Let's send you off with a bang!”

The cannons fired, and more of the dense rocks launched at her.

Even with the water barrier, Chimera knew those shots were too fast to slow down.

Instead, she opted for a dangerous option.

Okay Chase… don’t fail me now!

Her metabolism skyrocketed, and the shift to incorporate super speed began and ended in a moment.

She landed on the ground and shot forward.

Straight into a building.

Inside she saw a few scientists who were knee deep in research Chimera knew was absolutely illegal.

Instead of being distracted, Chimera brought her attention back to Terralord and launched herself at him.

Despite his suit of stone, Chimera hit him with the force of a bullet train, smashing past his suit and carrying him into the cavern wall.

“Augh! Damn bitch! How dare you wreck my pristine stone suit!”

“It was tacky and so are you!”

“Rude little…”

Chimera was throwing punches mixed with dense spines as she tried to find a way past the hardened defenses.

However…

Terralord launched as the blows connected, his body turning jagged with the extra stone around him.

One of her punches smashed into the spike with her fist, stabbing through her arm all the way into her elbow.

“Agh!”

The pain lanced into her body, and Chimera couldn’t focus long enough to take care of the rock jutting out of her body.

Terralord took advantage of that, placing a hand on the piece of the rock still jutting out of her arm.

“You’re a prickly little bitch!”

The stone turned into a spiky briar, destroying the rest of her right arm along with it.

“Fuck!”

With a wince she separated her arm from her shoulder, cutting off the appendage while she tried to work on regenerating it.

She tried to back off, only for the ground to turn into liquid underneath her.

Chimera sunk into the quicksand, her legs completely swallowed up, with her torso quickly making its way down.

Abandon ship!

Chimera launched out of the shell she made, turning back into her blobby form as the rest of the body was crushed a few moments later.

Shifting back into her Chimera form, she checked her reserves for bio-energy.

Around fifty percent.

Chimera gritted her teeth, watching the smug bastard in front of her grinning like a maniac.

If she continued like this for too long, she would lose.

She fired volleys of spines at Terralord, trying to buy herself time to think up a strategy.

His suit is too dense, and the rocks around us are helping him. This is his environment…

I don’t see a way out of this!

Panic started to overtake her mind as Chimera desperately searched for a means to break through and stop Terralord.

“Looks like the games are over already, not that I’m surprised. A failure like you, pretending to be a hero with our sister’s stolen project, how laughable.”

His suit made a massive grin, “you’re going to die here, little one.”

No!

Chimera’s head was filled with fear, like she was being crushed by it.

There has to be a way, don’t give up!

Wait... how is he talking?

The suit moved closer, the churning quicksand spreading out further and further as construction equipment and forklifts were sucked in.

Chimera jumped away, but a rock descended on her as she did, smacking her back down.

She tried to shield herself with water, but the sand was absorbing it too fast!

Chimera pulled more water from the port nearby, using it to soak in the sand. With enough of it, the sand began to clump.

"Enough girly! Die already!"

The sand wasn't moving anymore, and the fact that she could hear him talking...

Air, he has to breath in that suit!

Chimera shifted her legs and spine into a cats, setting herself up for the spring jump.

However, the moment she was about to jump forth was the moment the ground dried up again.

Terralord grabbed her with a sandy hand and started to crush her with it.

Panic flooded her mind once again, and Chimera couldn't reach the water with her gift in time.

Her life flashed as the moments when her parents died and the day that she died started to overlap with each other.

BANG BANG DEAD!

“AHHHHHHHH!”

Chimera broke her body up and launched herself at the suit as a primal instinct took hold of her.

She grew… and grew… and grew!

Soon the one story office buildings around her were as big as she was, and the ceiling above was just about near her head.

“STOP IT, STOP!”

She slammed her feet on the suit over and over.

When they didn’t work she switched into a blob.

And ate.

And Ate

AND ATE.

The floor underneath her was starting to sink, the ground around her was being absorbed and destroyed within her by bile and acids that she took from various animals.

Anything that could destroy stone, anything that could melt rock and burn flesh!

“GO AWAY!”

The whole underground reverberated with her voice as she started to crush the suit within her body, pressing on its side as she melted the suit.

She could feel Terralord trying to break out, but her body wouldn’t let him go.

Make him go away! Make him stop!

She crushed further, shrinking her body, but multiplying the forces around the suit at every interval.

She could hear him scream, but she did not stop.

He started to gag, she did not stop.

His flesh tasted… so good!

More!

MORE!

Water started to flood the underground and more screams from others started to sing overhead.

She grabbed them and put them inside her.

The screams stopped.

She felt so happy!

Yet, despite what she did to keep Terralord inside her, the bastard had managed to break free.

He launched himself out of her body, and landed a few feet away.

He was screaming as well, that wretched noise!

“Chimera! STOP!”

Chimera stopped…

She felt people inside of her, in various stages of consumption.

They were dying…

She forced them out of her as quickly as she could, tendrils stabbing into them as she tried her best to heal their bodies.

She shrunk back down as her panic returned, worrying over the lives she killed and didn’t kill.

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry…”

She tried to heal them, but most were too far gone.

The acids and bile she had used cauterized the wounds she made, preventing the body from recovering, and the acids dissolved the rest.

She heard one screaming over the rest, and the familiar voice of Teron was clear as crystal to her.

She launched herself at him, her tendrils stabbing into multiple parts of his body as she hijacked his muscles.

Chimera was about to prolong his suffering when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her.

“Chimera...”

Meghan.

“I…”

“Shh… don’t say anything, I know you didn’t mean it.”

Chimera felt tears fall down her face, followed by an all consuming rage.

“I killed them, Meghan… and...”

I like how it felt...

Her hands were free as she stared at them, the blood from her past staining them as she held her parents' bodies.

The same blood that wept from her human form when Monica shot her.

That isn't you though, is it?

That was her, the life you took.

Sarah's life.

Chimera felt like she had to tell Meghan the truth about her feelings, the desperation of the lives she took was compelling her to.

“I felt stronger, as I was eating them…"

She stared up at her friend.

"Meghan… I’m a monster.”

She knew that now… that the old her, the human that she thought was still buried underneath all the instincts and drives, had truly died that day.

She was just a monster with its memories.

“Don’t say that, you couldn’t control yourself.”

“I…”

“Chimera, you killed people, that’s the truth. Were they good people? No, but the point is, if your were in control, would you do it again?”

Would I?

The overwhelming pleasure and power she felt when she was digesting those poor folks.

They likely were bad guys, especially with what she had seen from before.

Still, she killed them.

Those bastards likely deserved their fate, and they made me strong enough to overpower this monster.

Even if she was a monster, she would control herself.

No one is going to force me into anything, ever.

She looked back down at Terralord, his body frozen due to her tendrils, not even able to scream any longer.

“Meghan, I’ve got some investigating to do. Be right back.”

With a painful yank, she pulled all of the tendrils out at once, and jumped inside Terralord’s body.

I’ll make you pay for this Teron, but first things first, let’s see where that rendezvous is.
