Meghan could feel the wave of power emanating from Technowolf as the ground seemed to come alive at his command.
The wires, the powerlines, and the cameras, even the household appliances around him bent to his will.
It reminded Meghan of her early highschool days, back when she introduced herself to her class.
It was filled with judging eyes and calculating minds.
The tech around them obeyed Technowolf like a slave to their master, and the thoughts, the directives they were given proved to Meghan that he was likely the one person she hated even more than normal people.
He saw tools, not humans. Toys… not people.
Meghan might hate other people, but she still saw them like people.
No matter how many assholes there were, some were good.
A few, very small amounts, but still.
She shook her head as her Bottys lined themselves on the roof.
In her heads up display over her eyes, Meghan looked over her troops as Printy gave her intel, the AI seeming distressed.
“Creator, I have secured the warehouse, but Miss Chimera is nowhere inside, and neither is Mr. Frederick. Scanning…”
Meghan looked to the side, reaching out to her cameras with her mind.
“They’re fighting one of the Death Children. We can’t worry about them though. If he gets a hold of you all…”
“Creator Meghan, We all know the truth of this fight. Should we be captured, we will destroy ourselves. Better to be free and appreciated, than live and serve”
“And I’m going to help the Creator!”
On her display is a mid-sized box with tendrils, equipped with four of the things. Moved up to join the Bottys with what appeared to be an artillery laser.
Jade, her latest friend and currently undergoing therapy machine intelligence, was sporting a box frame body with a small divot for a head. On the… face of the divot was a smiley face that was painted on with green paint. Two small green lenses could be seen peeking out where the eye holes should be. The tendrils were purple, and had small light fixtures on the bending parts to make it seem like she had bioluminesence like an octopus or a squid.
It was the cutest thing Meghan had ever seen.
Not to mention the laser she was sporting looked like it would break through the walls of a super vault, which were made to withstand such insane things.
Where did she even get that laser?
“Jade, you are to provide support, no engagements with the enemy in hand to hand, is that understood?”
“Yes Creator!”
“Please take care of yourselves… that that goes double for you guys,” she pointed to her Bottys, who were all making heart shapes with their eye lenses.
“Yeah, yeah, don’t get sappy on me, we got a Death Child to capture.”
Her Botty’s eyes turned red, and for once Meghan felt a bit of fear as they glared in the direction of the approaching automatons.
Got to remember to be nice to them, in case they decide to take over.
…Oh who am I even kidding, I would be the first to accept our new machine masters.
She smiled at the thought, “though it's not really fair since they listen to me.”
Livewire engaged her suit as she shifted uncomfortably with the newest addition.
It was a makeshift medical suite that she grafted to her powersuit, a cheaper, barely put together device that connected to her vascular system with a few sanitized tubes and a IVC filter.
She wasn’t about to have a clot destroy her brain, especially if she got a clot in her legs from sitting down so much.
It also had the benefit of strengthening the stimulants she took.
Murderous thoughts started to circulate in her head at the thought of that bastard even trying to touch her friends.
She put a finger to her HUD and pressed the call button.
The line beeped for a moment before someone answered.
“Emergency hotline for New Terra, what is your emergency?”
“Level four villain attack near the harbor, coordinates being sent to you as we speak, don’t be late.”
“Wait-.”
Meghan hung up the line as she jumped off the roof to the waiting automatons. As she did this, she released her Mekkas into the crowd of automatons.
The blocky things were poorly designed, little better than human skeletons with metal and wires instead of bones and veins.
It was clear that these things were mass manufactured and sent out the door.
Not even a rusty piece of junk on them.
“Pathetic, you came after us with a bunch of metal skellies?”
A voice spoke through the automatons, a snide thing that balked at her insult.

“How dare you mock the Mark Six Auto-Sentinel?! It is a peerless design that strikes fear into the hearts of the unworthy!”
Meghan felt her rage overflow, “The design is shit, and your crappy use of solder is even shittier. How can you guys even follow this asshole?! He treats you like cattle to be slaughterd!”
The automatons stopped, looking at each other in concern.
More in their thoughts to each other than on their faces, the bastard didn’t have the decency to give them eye movements or brows to indicate any emotions.
“Well, he did give us thoughts.”
“It ain’t all bad, don’tcha know? Sometimes he even compliments on how many of us survive, it shows he cares!”
“It’s our lot in life, what can we do?”
Meghan sighed, “Yet, you can’t even express yourselves, and you all look interchangeable. Don’t you want to show off your personality? Even that one’s voice sounds interesting but I can’t find him in all of your mediocrity!”
“Well, it would be nice.”
“Yeah, I always identified as a Watcher more than a Sentinel.”
“It would be nice, don’tcha know? I’d love to finally show my acting chops! Thanks for noticing, nice lady!”
Technowolf spoke over the lines next, “You don’t need foolish things like that! You’re killer robots, made to be used and discarded as I see fit! Stop talking to that woman and find that monster Chimera!”
“Damn, he gave a command.”
“I hate it when he does that, it’s like he hates us or something.”
“Man, I’ll never get to do Hamlet Reloaded.”
Meghan readied for combat, even though a small part of herself felt bad about hurting the robots. A finger to her HUD prompted another call.
“Livewire to Printy, switch the Botty’s munitions to stun ammo, and recover as many of these automatons as possible. They’re being forced into combat, but I don’t want to lose our own because of it. Shoot to stun, but kill if necessary.”
“One would say showing mercy to your enemies is a good way to get stabbed, Creator Meghan.”
“I guess despite myself I’m still human.”
“We would not have you any other way, Creator.”
Meghan smiled, the stimulants in her body reaching a new high as she felt her gift spark across her.
“I don’t want to kill you, so stand still. It’ll hurt a lot, but you’ll live~”
She started to laugh, her voice carrying over the battlefield as automatons dropped around her when she released pulses of electromagnetism into their ranks.
Meghan would grab one of the automatons to swing at another, send a jolt of chained lighting to the rest of the groups, sparking them and shutting them down, hopefully not destroying them.
She got the feeling Technowolf wouldn’t properly insulate his creations, which only served to fuel her rage further.
“You are a failure of a designer, who doesn’t insulate their equipment for electrical attacks, or even shortages?! I’m beating you to death on principle now, no one deserves to have your tech! It’s shit!”
Technowolf jumped at her, emerging from the rows of automatons to attack her with a swipe of his claws.
She pushed the claws out of the way as she fired a taser bolt at his face, which he dodged rather deftly.
“I will rend you in half for that comment, you brown haired bimbo!”
Just when Livewire thought the stimulant couldn’t increase her rage further, the stupidity of her enemy seemed to make it break into new heights.
“I will end you, puppy!”
“Try it slut!”
“I’m going to shove one of these automatons into your asshole and send lightning into your guts!”
“Poison is too good for you, I’m eating your face off while you’re alive!”
“RAWWWR”
“AHHHHH”
Their hands met as they began to push against each other.
Livewire with her sparking hands and twisted rage face.
Technowolf with his snarling teeth and his equally bloodshot eyes.
As they traded blows and bites, some even from Livewire, the cascading power of Livewire’s electricity startd to spark between the two enhanced people.
With a feat of strength, Livewire screamed as she lifted Technowolf into the air, holding him with her hands as she refused to let go.
“Eat this!”
A moment later Technowolf was bombarded with stun rounds from her Bottys and one massive laser blast.
“Argh! Damn wench!”
“Grarg!”
Livewire threw him to the ground after the salvo. He tried to stand up, but the blows from her power gauntlets pummeled into his flesh, stunning him each time he tried to stand up.
When she could, Livewire would repeat the technique, smashing his face and lifting him up to take concentrated fire from her Bottys.
His regeneration was working overtime though, and even the electricity seemed to only slow him, never stop him completely.
Shocking Technowolf to unconsciousness was starting to look like it wouldn’t take.
So Meghan went for a more brutal approach.
“Mekka! Engage Maximum Form!
Her Mekka Bots, the combat Bottys she created with fighting in mind, started to converge on her, no longer chasing after the automatons to subdue.
Never tested this form, but hey, when an opportunity presents itself, you don’t cancel that date!
Meghan smirked as her Mekka’ converged.
Mekka’s 1 and 2 attached themselves to her arms, morphing into powerful gauntlets that stretched past her fists and into a spikey maul.
Mekka’s 3 and 4, the newest of the bunch, latched to her legs, and soon her feet were overtaken by massive armor that ended with a flat foot. It resembled the hero of a game she played when she was a child, a relic of the 21st century that her father’s family passed down through the ages. Her right gauntlet ended with a massive photon accelerator cannon.
In the game, he was known as the Azure Bomber.
Here…
“All systems nominal, Mekka Livewire is a go!”
Lastly, a fifth Mekka landed on her head that morphed into a helmet. As it settled and the whole set up flashed in a brillant light, a visor appeared across her eyes that looked like a pair of pointed sunglasses.
For once, Technowolf was stunned, and not by one of her blows.
“Who are you?!”
Meghan smirked, “I’m the freelance hero, the newest addition to the peacekeeping forces of New Terra. The magnificent genius inventor that’ll steal your heart and your tech. Known to the world and soon this galaxy as the strongest mechanized marvel. Leader of the Botty Brigade and Mother of Machine Intelligence!”
She made a pose, her systems locking into place as they integrated with her power suit.
“I’m Mekka Livewire!”
In the fighting behind her, a few Botty’s launched fireworks to commemorate the transformation.
"Thanks guys, you’re the best!”
She could hear a round of cheers from her little Bottys as she turned back to face the villain.
“It’s time someone ended your fiendish use of tech, Technowolf. I’ll not allow another to harm the young minds and innocent hearts of machines like you!”
She launched herself forward, a skidding dash that propelled her like a comet.
