“Oh, it seems you're still moving after all. Let’s fix that.”
The ice that was accumulating on Chimera moved, spreading further around her as she tried to break free of it.
Without a way to move her body as it was, Chimera decided the best way to move out of the ice was from within.
She abandoned her current form, twisting inside her body until she was once again a blob.
With the outside frozen, she shifted into a drill, just as she did back in the ChemTech Laboratory that she and Meghan ran.
And shot out of her own body like a bullet.
Shifting back into her Chimera form, she faced the villainess in front of her with a few tendrils hovering behind her.
Killer Whale smiled back at her.
“Oh, the lost experiment, nice to finally meet you.”
“Huh, guess that means you’re working for her then.”
Killer Whale’s smile twitched a bit, “I work only for my own goals, not that zealots! No, I was just interested in her design, as water and fluid kinetics are my speciality. It seems she figured out how to make you resistant to me.”
Chimera smirked back, “good.”
Kller Whale shook her head, “it’s not good, for you. I’ll just have to break you until I can figure out how she did it.”
“Good luck with that monochrome, because I’m going to take you down before that’s gonna happen.”
The villainess’ smile turned into a growl, and her sharp shark-like teeth snapped as she stretched out her hands.
The ground erupted into a water fountain, and soon a film of the liquid wrapped around Killer Whale like a cloak.
“I'll rip the secrets out of you!”
The water around Killer Whale bent to her will and started to churn like the roiling waves of the sea.
As she built the tempo of the waves, she jumped onto the water,
With a flourish, she started to swim in the air, carrying a sort of surf with her as she swam towards Chimera.
Chimera only had a moment to dodge as the wave broke through the walls, leading back out into the laboratory that sprawled outward. Chimera tried to gain her footing, but the water started to grab her, tossing her out with the wave.
Crap! I don’t have any sea animal DNA to help with this water!
She saw the water bringing her closer to Killer Whale, whose jaw was opening wide to bite at her.
Well, it worked on her brother so…
Shifting her inner body, she grew the quill pig spines all over her outer self, turning into a porcupine child!
Killer Whale was ready though, and shifted the current to throw her aside just as she was about to reach her.
“DNA Biomorphism, it seems she made you able to absorb the DNA of your foes, clever sister.”
“That was actually from a nice quill pig who loved to be scratched under his chin. Not all of us are assholes like you guys.”
Killer Whale didn’t seem to appreciate that as the water started to churn faster.
“Me, an asshole? You must not know my big sister at all. No one compares to that bitchl!”
Actually, she was my boss!
Not that she was telling that to this one, no matter the relationship the siblings had.
Chimera took the spines she made and placed them into the tendrils.
Well, if close quarters does nothing…
She mixed her web spinner designs she took from a jumping spider, and the launching potential within, and added it to the spines in her tendrils.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Spine gun, Fire!
With three tendrils filled with venon soaked spines, she launched the salvo at the villainess.
A surge of water shot out to intercept the spines, and while some of them were deflected, others rifled through the waves and landed on an arm.
“Argh! What the hell is this?!”
Bee venom mixed with wasp venom, guaranteed to bring the pain!
She kept up her fire rate as she moved closer to the villainess, saving a special spine for the water kinetic.
“That’s it you little shit!”
More water pooled in from the inner lab to the outside. The wide area soon was drenched with a foot of water, and Chimera was finding it harder to move around.
“Stay still!’
The water around Chimera’s legs grabbed her, holding her in place as a wave of pressurized water shot at her face.
Holy shit that's strong!
Chimera had to hold her body in place to prevent her brain from shooting into the walls behind her, the pressure was that strong.
The pressure built though, growing stronger and stronger as it became razor thin.
“Let’s see how you handle my Water Cutter!”
The water to Killer Whales left and right shot out like a laser, slicing through both metal and wood as if it wasn’t there.
It made its way to Chimera, and the water started to not just hold her legs, but her entire body.
She couldn’t move it at all, and the streams were starting to cross over her.
Crap!
She tried to move, she couldn’t. She tried to go smaller, but she couldn’t.
She tried to move the water by expanding and shrinking…
It worked!
She shifted her small form into a ten foot super version of her child-like body.
And immediately shrunk it back down, giving her enough time to bounce out of the water’s hold.
Yet.
She felt the water cut her left arm off, and a searing pain shot through her whole body.
“Ahh Fuck!”
“That’s not something a child should say!”
“Fuck you too!”
She tried to grow her arm back, but the cutter left some water in her wound, and it was pressing against her.
The water actively tried to stop her regeneration, forcing her fluid back into her true body.
Well, good news is I won’t bleed out.
Bad news is I’m down an arm until I can get the old one back.
Or…
She stared up at the laughing villainess.
If I could just get a bit of her DNA…
The spines!
She looked around for any of the spines that Killer Whale pulled out.
There!
It was just under her, a spine that had just a bit of red on the tip of it.
It was slowly being taken under the water!
Crap! Got to hurry!
She forgoed any defense, launching herself at the spine with reckless abandon.
Chimera felt the other Water Cutter hit her across the side, slicing her left leg off to match her missing left arm.
“Ahh! Damnit, come on!”
She turned her right leg into a spring, and shot herself forward.
“Not so fast you fool!”
The spine, her goal, was pulled from the ground and sent flying into a nearby wall.
“Do not think of me as an idiot! I knew you would go for it, and now, you're mine!”
The water crashed around Chimera as it tried to hold her in place once again.
This time though.
YES!
Killer Whale wasn’t as fast as she though, and a bit of her blood made its way into the water that was now holding her.
She let the water in, along with the blood of the villainess.
Okay, let’s do this!
She pushed the knowledge inside her, tracing the DNA as fast as she could to find the secret to Killer Whale’s water abilities.
She found it, and felt the power slot itself without any resistance.
Oh crap… it’s just like earlier.
She couldn’t worry about it right now though, she needed that ability to help stop Killer Whale.
With a twitch of her thoughts, Chimera seized the water around her, mixing her true body into the fluid as she grew larger and larger.
“Fool! With the water inside you, I have access to your entire body! Hahaha! Now you will be my puppet!”
The water stopped.
The Water Cutters stopped.
Killer Whale stopped!
“What? How can this be? I made sure to… no!”
The water grabbed its former master, and put her before Chimera.
“Damnit! How did you get my blood?”
Chimera shot a tendril into her neck, injecting a knock out serum as the villainess started to slump.
“Damn… you… Monica…”
Chimera felt Killer Whale’s body go unconscious, and dove into the villainess as she slumped to the floor.
She has to know something, and I need to find out what she was doing here.
Chimera felt herself shift as she settled inside Killer Whale's body, the knowledge, DNA and soon, the brain matter, opening up to her.
