After deciding to escort Viola outside the mansion, we first discussed on what actions we take regarding certain events.
This mansion is crawling with horrors and the dangers outside it will undoubtedly be no less than what I’ve faced so far.
Therefore, I asked Viola several questions to prepare.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail… A wise man who died for his country once said as such.
“Lady Viola, do you have any knowledge on wielding weapons or the like?”
“No… Sorry…”
“Then can you at least wield a knife or anything?”
“I-I learned a bit in archery with my father so…”
According to what information I gathered, Viola has some ability in archery that sadly cannot be taken into consideration.
As for why, it’s due to the reason that there are no bows or arrows here apparently.
“Then, we’ll need to advance slowly. Lady Viola, you can’t fight at all and would likely be a hindrance to me. Therefore, unless we find bow, you’ll have to hide in the rear. Hide somewhere safe where you can flee while I deal with any creatures we face.”
“Sorry for troubling you…”
After deciding our course of action, we headed to the front door.
We advanced slowly to ensure Viola’s safety.
Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any undead during this time.
If it would remain like this until we reach the door, that would be great.
As we approached the door, I heard some moans and growling.
“Lady Viola, please stay quiet, I’ll scout a bit first.”

She nodded and I began to walk quietly towards the door to spy there.
What I saw was…
Two corpses walking around.
Hmm… This will be easy.
I’ve already dealt with two groups of undead before.
These two would prove easy as my previous battles were.
I unsheathed my sword.
I stood at the doorway and prepared my stance.
Then…
“Here I come! Haaaaaaa!!!”
While letting out a short battle cry, I dashed towards one of them and beheaded it in on slash.
The other one, noticing me, rushed at me immediately.
I stood my ground, then dodged to the side as it came at me. I cut off its one arm.
As it began to turn to me, I beheaded it immediately.
It collapsed lifelessly to the ground.
Confirming it was down for the count, I looked at the sides preparing for further engagements.
When I finished my observation, I called out to Viola.
“It’s alright, I’ve finished them off.”
She began to peek near the doorway.
After seeing it was fine, she slowly walked towards me.
She was being careful not to get near any of the two corpses.
“Let’s go.”
“Yes…”
I opened the door and after several long years, I finally took a step outside this mansion.
