After I left, I went to my designated area.

I gathered my tools, then, I set a fire.

I watched the flames burn brightly.

I found the flames quite beautiful.

They purged this cursed place of agony.

Cremating the dead.

I heard screams resounding.

As well as voices filled with joy of liberation.

The flames began to reach me.

I smiled.

Knowing the end would come.

While I passed one of the windows, I looked towards the distant horizon to see the rising sun.

I smiled once more.

It was nice to see the sun.

I could almost feel the warmth of the sun...

The light of day is something that shines for the living, not for the dead.

I will soon leave and know the cold embrace of death.

Still, I admired the beauty of the sun.

Like how I was in life, when I chased after the sun's light.

I said silently.

And the flames eventually devoured me.

I felt light.

I felt warmth.

I opened my eyes.

I was lying down near a tree.

I looked down towards my body and I saw it.

I found it similar... and nostalgic.

I touched myself to feel. 

I felt my body...

I felt the heat and heard the sound of my beating heart.

"Is this the afterlife...?"

I wondered.

"Hahaha, no time to be dazed laddie!"

I heard a lively yet familiar voice.

That voice...

"Llednar?"

I looked towards the horizon to see an old man.

He looked the same as Llednar except that he had healthy white skin.

"It is you!"

I exclaimed.

"Hahaha... Good to see you again lad!"

He laughed out loud.

Suddenly, several figures gathered around him.

They looked like... children?

"Oh, you're Nar's friend? Nice to meet you!"

I saw a lively boy express himself.

He greeted me with a smile.

I smiled back and stood up.

"So this is the afterlife... Seems like a wonderful place!"

I said happily.

"Where's Clovis?"

"Oh, him? He's waiting for us at the town. C'mon lad, let's go!"

He smiled.

"I see... Well then, let's go!"

I laughed.

I felt truly happy. Almost as if I could do anything.

I then went with them.

Heading towards the distant horizon... Towards the light of day.

It felt good to feel alive again.

Even if this is the afterlife.
