Leaving behind the armory, I headed towards the mansion.
There would definitely be some undead en route there, therefore, I made sure to advance with caution.
I drew my crossbow and readied it to fire at a moment’s notice.
Although the frail ones are easy enough to defeat even in large numbers, it’s those wolves that are the problem.
They often attack as a pack therefore I would be prey to a pincer attack while they surround me.
I can use my power and crush them easily enough…
However, that power will draw in some more undead which will make things rather difficult.
Time passed on like this.
After an hour or so, I’ve encountered some undead.
Just the frail ones.
Only a few of them were there.
I took them by cutting them to pieces.
The wolves were alive, killing them putted an end to them but these frail ones are already dead.
Therefore, it’s necessary to cut them to pieces instead.
Twenty minutes later, I encountered a new group.
This time, it’s a mix of the frail ones and some wolves.
I immediately fired off my crossbow killing one of them.
I ran forward while reloading.
Alerted by my presence, the others rushed off forward towards me.
The wolves were rushing at me really fast.
I fired off the second shot killing the one nearest to me.

With this, I’ve taken out two wolves.
I quickly began reloading.
I took this chance to gauge the enemy numbers.
There’s a total of four wolves and twelve frail ones.
Taking into account the two I’ve taken out, that leaves 2 more wolves and twelve more frail ones, therefore, fourteen left.
I fired off the third shot killing another wolf.
I would have reloaded again, but the next wolf was too close.
I drew my sword and pierced it through the heart.
I kicked it back and while it was squirming to the ground I dashed forward with my sword overhead.
I slashed him in two.
With this, all four wolves are dead.
Raising my sword, I began cutting the rest to pieces.
Without the wolves, these ones would fall far too easily.
After twenty minutes, I’ve finished my gruesome task of cutting corpses.
“With this, I’m done.”
Looking ahead, I saw the mansion.
I saw the familiar yet gloomy old house.
“I’m back. This will be the last time I enter this mansion. I will bring an end to everything here.”
I renewed my determination and headed into the haunted mansion, where countless humans perished in tragedy, where my life came to an end, and where I will put an end to all this tragedy before another perish in agony.
