“This isn’t good at all…”
“What…What do we do!?”
We were in great danger.
This enraged beast…
Was most likely a wolf before turning into this wretched creature.
Then that means the other beasts I previously fought were wolves…
I’ll regard them as Dark Wolves and this pack leader as the Dark Wolf Leader to clear things up but this isn’t the time for such leisurely thoughts!
We’re in grave danger.
“We’ve got no choice! Let’s face them here.”
Figuring that there’s no choice but to fight, Viola resolved herself to fight.
As a noble lady, she’s smart enough to figure out that there’s no choice other than this.
I nodded back and pointed my sword towards the Dark Wolf Leader.
It let out another fierce howl and jumped towards us.
We evaded his charge.
I sheathe my sword and drew my crossbow.
It undoubtedly possess immense strength from its size and its weight is by no means light judging from his landing.
I back down for a bit and fired a shot.
It penetrated its skin and dark blood flowed from its wounds.
It let out a howl, yelping in pain.
It grew enraged and charged at me.
“Sylfern!”
“Don’t worry about me! I’ll deal with this on my own. For now, try to deal with the rest of the pack!”

The other wolves were surrounding us and eyeing us carefully.
Majority were still surrounding us maintaining the circle while a few were already inside and preparing to attack.
Now that their leader isolated me, who they deemed as the greatest threat, they’ll try and deal with Viola now.
Viola has some skills despite being noble born but she won’t last long.
I better finish this guy fast and help out!
“Come on! I challenge you!”
I provoked it.
It jumped at me with a snarl.
It was fast!
It managed to graze my armor, throwing me off balance.
“Urk!”
It spun around and punched me.
Sending me flying.
“Tch!”
I managed to roll and lessen the damage as well as get back on my feet.
I fired off a bolt immediately.
The beast let out a loud howl.
I managed to hit its eye.
How fortunate.
Glaring at me, it rushed immediately giving me no time to evade or block.
It pinned me to the ground.
“No!”
I heard a shriek from where Viola is.
I turned and saw her surrounded by the wolves.
They ignored their formation after judging that I was beaten by their leader.
This is bad!
