As I’ve read those words, I knew where I’ll find the heart.
Besides some other words written here… There’s also a map detailing the path all the way down.
I spent half an hour memorizing the map and then ripped it off the book.
I memorized it in case I lose the map due to some reason.
This isn’t some game.
I need some insurance to make sure I get to the Heart and crush it.
However…
“What’s this?”
I was analyzing the map thoroughly and found out that there are some doors locked.
To go further, I need to get pass those locks.
To do that, I need the keys to unlock them or the master key.
That would be the usual and sensible way of doing things.
But I have no idea where the keys are and it would take too much time to look for them.
Especially when the mansion is very large.
The other method would be to use brute force.
An explorer once answered a philosophical question asked in ancient times.
The question was, “How do you make an egg remain standing upright?”
That explorer answered this, “Break the lower part of the egg.”
Truly a brutish method, yet it is effective.
However, the doors may be old but the malicious curse has strengthened them so that would prove difficult…
“How troubling…”
I began to think for a method to get pass them.
“To get pass locked doors… Perhaps a thief should know how to do it…”
I murmured.
Certainly, that is a rather unpleasant method for a noble but it is effective.
Some nobles hire rogues to unlock doors for many… villainous tasks.

Although I was previously a prince, right now, I’m nothing more than an undead wandering this world.
So I won’t feel anything while resorting to such means.
After all, they’re merely means to an end.
“Still, a thief…”
I began thinking whether or not I can find a thief.
Wait…
“That’s right! There is one. A legendary thief is present here.”
How could I forget?
There’s a legendary thief present at the moment.
“Hm. I hope Llednar will accept my request.”
I looked up.
Before climbing the stairs back up to meet an old thief.
“You’re back? Did you give up?”
Upon entering the same room Llednar was in, he raised an eyebrow as he asked.
“Of course not.”
I denied.
I have absolutely no intention of quitting.
“Then what are you here for?”
“Direct to the point? Very well, I need your help to crush the Heart.”
Since this elder went in bluntly, I must respond in kind.
“Oho?”
He began to ponder for a few moments.
“Fine, I don’t have much to do here regardless. I’ll help you out.”
He agreed without too much thinking.
Gratified, I expressed my thanks.
“Thank you. It would have been much harder if I don’t get your assistance.”
“Don’t mind it. Rather, what do you need me to do in the first place?”
He asked.
I smiled thinly.
“I require your expertise to advance down further.”

Sorry for my slow releases. I'm having a slightly difficult time writing my novel lately.
