Its jet black hair stretched down towards its waist. Pale reddish skin filled with horrendous scars. Vicious sharp teeth paired with large red eyes filled with rage. Wearing torn ragged clothing barely able to hide those bulging muscles while wearing black trousers while emanating a malevolent aura.
It wielded a large club and let out a roar once more.
*Roar*
His roar let out a fierce shockwave affecting even us.
“Kuh…!”
“Ngh…”
While we were affected by its roar, it charged at us, destroying the walls along the way.
“Llednar, let’s pull back at once!”
“Right lad!”
Despite his old and frail appearance, he moved nimbly and swiftly.
I drew my crossbow and took aim as I drew back.
*Shoot*
The arrow was aimed directly at its eye.
*Roar*
The ogre roared and deflected it with its hand.
“Tch! What thick skin!”
I muttered.
I concluded that although it’s muscles can function as steel and deflect normal shots, I could still aim at its eye.
As the saying goes, “No matter how hard you train your body, you can never train your eyes.”.
I began running back towards where we came.
As we ran, I began firing my bow.
I kept firing, aiming at its eye.
But regardless, it deflected it with its massive arms.
“Tch!”
“You’ve got great skill lad to be able to calmly aim at its eye while running.”
Llednar commented as he was running.
Though I was vexed, it wasn’t as if the two of us were terrified.
We were already dead.
We could no longer feel pain nor death again.
At worse, if this ogre manages to finish us off, we’ll just pass on.
And this time, we will never open our eyes once more.
However, we refuse to fall here like this.
“Llednar! Let’s lure him an open area! We’ll end him there!”
“Hoh? You’ve got a plan lad? Then give it a go!”
Laughing, Llednar took two small bombs and threw them right at the ogre.
*Boom!!!*
“GRAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”
The ogre crossed his arms to block the bombs just like how he blocked my arrows.
Unfortunately, it matters not whether he blocks them or so, the moment they come in contact with his body, it would work regardless.
And so the ogre howled in pain.
And that succeeded in halting him in his tracks.
“Now, let’s get back to the study room! We’ll finish him off there!”
I yelled at Llednar as we began running with our backs towards the ogre.
“We’ve arrived.”
“Now, what are you planning lad?”
We reached the study room and Llednar questioned me on what I’m planning.

“We will stop him here. If we can, we will eliminate him, if not, we’ll trap here for a while so that we can dash down the corridor and pass by the door we failed to enter earlier.”
“Eliminate him? You’ve thought of a plan to pierce through that skin of steel?”
Llednar asked.
Earlier, my arrows failed to pierce through his skin.
I fired merely a few arrows but in the instant that my arrows hit, I saw it.
My arrows failed to even scratch its skin.
Llednar saw that same thing as well.
It’s impossible for the eyes of the great thief to fail to see such a thing.
My sword might stand a chance…
However, this sword of mine is unsuitable to cut through such things.
And even if I pierce through it, it would be difficult to draw back my sword to launch another strike.
For that creature would never fall to one blow.
Llednar’s daggers are the same.
How could daggers be used to cut through wood?
Even more so when what we need to cut is as thick as steel?
Furthermore, it would be unlikely for us to escape unharmed when we attack.
Despite its brute strength and thick skin, its speed is nothing to laugh at.
When it chased after us, it was restricted by the narrow area making it unable to chase at us at full speed.
But even so, it was able to slowly catch up to us.
Its true speed is far faster than us.
Meaning we are outmatched in terms of pure specs alone.
Our only advantage is that there are two of us and that we both possess
Regardless of how this plays out, unless our
Therefore, our best hope lies in escaping it.
To do so, we will hinder it here then rush back into the corridor.
Although, before we fall to that, we will do our utmost to obliterate him.
“I do. But it will be rather risky.”
“Well, if you’ve got a plan, then say it. There’s no time to waste here on such a brute.”

Good evening. Sorry I couldn't post much this summer. I was quite busy... I'll give a brief notice of what troubled me lately. Simply put, I lost some very important papers. I needed them very much. However, it was possible to get them but that took a lot of time. I got busy because of that. I'm writing properly here but I'm still having some difficulty... I say, I must admit that I'm even more impressed by the authors of the stories I read. To have written some beautiful stories like that took a great amount of difficulty. Thank you kindly for reading and until next time.
