After saving the girl, we immediately left the vicinity.

It’s impossible to hold a proper conversation there.

The girl who introduced herself as Viola was trembling in fear as she saw the corpses gathered here.

So, we walked to a nearby corridor to talk.

While walking there, I took a proper look over her.

Deep shaded violet hair, rosy white skin, clear gentle eyes…

Despite her beauty, she was wearing rather shabby clothing.

Is she a human?

If so, then this is a grave problem.

While thinking about that, we reached the area.

Upon reaching the area, I questioned her immediately.

“Viola, what are you doing here then?”

I asked in a mild voice.

I took great care in ensuring I speak to her without scaring her.

“I-I ran away from home…”

She answered swiftly.

“Ran away? Then why are you here?”

“I reached this place while I was running away.”

“That’s a bit too reckless.”

I frowned slightly.

Running away at that age?

She maybe a noble…

“I know but… I couldn’t stay… Since…”

She began to speak more softly.

“I don’t know what your reason is, but regardless, you’re in grave danger.”

“You… you mean those monsters…?”

She replied with fear in her voice.

She was obviously still scared.

“Indeed. They are merely one of the horrors lurking here. This place is a Curse Area. Where monsters and dark creatures gather.”

I explained to her.

I saw great fear in her eyes.

“Then… How can I run away…?”

She asked with her feeble voice.

“I believe it’s alright to simply leave this place. Since it’s dangerous, I will escort you.”

I don’t think I should reveal that I’m similar to those creatures while I’m around her.

“Thank you…”

She responded as she sighed in relief.

Nevertheless, this will prove slightly dangerous. I should head out first through the front door and guide her outside. The scope of the curse should be the entire forest, I should escort her all the way there.

Outside the forest.

Although, this might be a troublesome task.

But nonetheless, there are still benefits.

There may be undead outside that would join me and there is a place I would like to visit.

If I can access that place, the benefits would be tremendous.

It is an armory.

There is armour and weapons stored there, plundered from travelers who perished here.

I can enter that place, arm myself, and if I find any other undead able to aid me, I could easily arm them to aid me.

To escort this girl outside this forest is merely a side objective.

And… Although I am no longer that of nobility, I will still follow my heart.

Thus, I will aid this frail girl.

For the sake of the honor and noble life I led and the ideals I still follow.

“Now, let’s go.”

I thought it was time to add a female character in. Even for a story with undead and the like, it's weird to not have female characters right?
