C41 - Everchanging Faces and Circumstances

"Thank you!!!" The guild master launched herself into a hug. His husband skillfully catching him with careful ease.

"You were able to claim it?"

"Yes!" Anri answered right back, giving Levi a quick peck before standing on her on feet just in the as her trusty Guild Manager voiced out an *ehem*. The other leaders of her guild looking a bit flushed after seeing their guildmaster a bit too 'girly'.

"Right... I meant that, we were able to claim the kingdom just as easily. We didn't even have to spend the Existence Core we bought using experience points from the Guild Store as the modified core you left before you logged out already served as one. How did you get one anyway? those things are normally only accessible for guild masters with 10,000 or more members under them."

"It came with the Lifeform creation skill."

"Ugh, that must've caused a lot of exp."

"It's free, but the number of those things I can create are limited. Repairing/recreating though... costs 5 or more levels depending on the floor."

"Well it's balanced at the very least. Existence Cores can be bought using a ton of experience points pooled by siphoning 5% of exp gained for all guild members. While expensive though, at the very least we can buy as many as we can afford. Anyway... I met them!"

" I met them my love."

"They were so cute I thought I was gonna die!"

...

'My love...'

Zia and the other leaders paled as they heard their guildmaster. They had the urge to puke for some reason. Soon their stomach lurched even further before beads of sweat started pouring on them.

Hearing the story on how Levi basically stalked and waited for the Serahaim to be fully exhausted and at the very tipping point, before dangling the core right in front of them, then in a single dominant stroke forcing the remaining blood of the royal family of Serahaim to submit to a System Oath through sheer guilt and coercion using the poor princess' elders.

All of that while operating under the assumption that the unknown core he got had the ability of acting as an Existence Core and that it probably won't transform the Tri-Elves into Skeletal life forms.

Zia and the others shivered as they got flash backs after seeing the resemblance between the two. The Sakura-- or the Bloodstained Sakura guild at some point almost got described along the lines of 'pure chaotic evil' during it's weak and early days due to it's unhinged actions. Resorting to fraud, slavery of npcs, extortion and blackmail inside the game, while literally using it's members as honey traps to manipulate guild schematics and to some extent affecting the overall result of the battles in World VR League.

With the possibility of guild disqualification, Zia and the others back then had labeled the acts of their guild master as 'Necessary Evil' and had always kept Anri as the light, but as they see Anri's eyes literally glow in proud adoration for her husband's deeds they were now starting to contemplate if that was really the case.

That version of the guild master after a few seasons, vanished, but it would sometimes whenever things get 'annoying' or 'too impacting for the business' so to speak. Also...

The man in front of them...

They all sighed at the same time. The scary tall man skillfully played the poor and desperate elves, all the while commanding a massacre outside. How? It doesn't matter.

They didn't even want to think about the scary tall man.

Even though the frightening aura is now somehow hidden, they could still feel their vulnerability whenever the man looked at them. In fact, not even Zia has lifted a word for the whole duration of the meeting if not to escape the gaze of the man.

...

Eventually the 'meet and greet' concluded and the couple finally left. Zia swore to herself to talk to Anri regarding the man-- her husband.

She could already feel the guild being swept by the waves created by that man. The New Kingdom was just the start. Sooner or later the man will give Anri enough trouble that the guild will be more and more dependent on him.

That includes all of the trouble he'll bring as well.

Zia steeled herself. As scary as the couple is, the Guild's wellbeing if her responsibility. She will fight tooth and nail for control even if that's if that's the last thing she'll get to do in this organization.

...

... ...

To be continued.
