C40 - Third Mana Threshold

Levi laughed as he drove towards the office. Grinning one second then smiling on the next. It was the most fun he had ever had for a very long time. It only made him more excited as he thought of how all of this would escalate even further when the three kingdoms and the order finds about what happened to their army.

He had also inadvertently found a perfect gift for his wife. Couldn't this day get any better? Levi thought as he sped his way towards the guild headquarters.

During Levi's VR Allocation time...

The 1st day...

Right after logging in, Levi immedietly re-started the march. At first he wanted to rely on the revived Elder Hytheria Dragon he slew, only to find that the guy had transformed into a... small skeletal bird.

Seeing how painstakingly it carved itself however, with the bird looking far more intricate than it's brothers, he forfeited and simply decided to just respect it's decision before continuing the dry march towards Paperwood Forrest, all the while switching between multiple perspectives and practicing his control over multiple bodies along the way.

He also made the time to finally configure his remaining Statpoints, placing 20 out of his free 75 stat points to his Mana Stat bumping it from 51 -> 71 crossing the mana threshold. Struck between the hard choice of [Mana Shield], [Ambient Mana Drain], and [Mana Body Strengthening].

Mana Shield was flexible, but the skill was notorious for the sheer amount of mana it required to block heavy magical attacks. Also, He could just Summon literal bone shields, and even gigantic ones from his kingdom. So the skill was a bit redundant for his case.

[Mana Body Strengthening] on the other hand was a bit tricky, it amplifies the Physique and Vitality of the user based on the constant amount of mana being spent, and even imbuing elements and affinities if they have one, A skill staple for Magic-Physique Hybrid builds like Magic Swordsman and an Elemental Related Brawler. This should also be the skill choice presented by the system to give Levi more sustainability and at the very least a chance to fight back in close quarters...

Unfortunately the skill isn't something that can be passed on to his summons. And by the way [Skeletal Marking] works, he seems to be already doing that whenever he sends mana to his summons whenever he wants to amplify their movements.

Also, Levi felt it was unnecessary. He has yet to maximize the potential of his summons as well as the Bone Armory(Summoning bones stored in his kingdom). He figured it wouldn't be too late to just buy a defensive skill, or an equipment that provides him one if it really becomes necessary.

Levi eventually chose [Ambient Mana Drain], somehow content with his choice after making sure that he could pass the effect through his [Skeletal Marking].

The effect was instantaneous. Within Seconds the [Ambient Mana Drain] immedietly started working for him and the Skeletals connected to him. Instead of adding additional regeneration to his base mana however, the skill created a small mana storage inside of him, slowly storing mana with the max capacity of 25% of his very own. The restoration rate of the backup mana was... decent. But not really something that could be compared to the 3% Max MP per second regeneration that he got from his first breakthrough of the stat.

What surprised was is that the Bonus MP Bar for his minions were based on his base mana stat, allowing the majority of the skeletals to now activate more skills, and even excel in both short and long combat.

Seeing how effective the skill was, Levi sighed before putting the rest of his free stat points to Mana as well. Distributing his stats like this, along with him not selecting [Mana Body Strengthening] would probably make him far worse than a glass cannon when it comes to survivability. Specially so since he doesn't have any teleportation skills or what so ever, but he's still confident that he'll be able to handle the current player base as is.

The normal ones without any trouble, at the very least.

...

On the bright side, with his mana stat being at 126. He can now materialize larger volumes of Gigantic Weapons, and even Skeletal Structures if he desires to do so. All in all a win, win. It required him more practice and efficiency in order to survive as the player base gets stronger, but ingraining demanding combat styles had always been a constant challenge that Levi had yet to lose.

Sweeping through the Barrens for the third and final time, Levi finally arrived to Paperwood Forrest.

He grinned as he saw the Army as well as the monsters rampaging in.
