C11 - Mana Sense

----------------------------------------

> [Info] Mana Sense, ability to vaguely sense surrounding mana including your own.

----------------------------------------

Levi's down face looked crestfallen as he calmed down. It had only been 6 hours since he started his gaming session and he was already this tired. The constant stream of being bombarded with complex skill structures really drained the life out of him.

Granted that he knew that himself, whenever he's alone, Levi liked to complain whenever he can. One of the quirks you do when you spend too much time alone. Similar to talking to yourself out loud.

The sensory overload of mana sense freaked the heck out of Levi. He had used similar skills in the past some end game skills of this type even spanned across continents yet none of them held multiple sources as the mana sense version of a necromancer in Avalesk.

Who would've thought that mana sense would extend to his summons and modified bones, as if mana fluctuated from them and them getting feed back from it's surroundings only to pass it all back to Levi in a recognizable form by his very own core manasense.

As if his [Skeletal Marking]s were trying to feed him information in a 20times over in a form medium the newbie necromancer is unfamiliar with.

Levi sat wet in the Shallows. He meditated, internalizing himself. Familiarizing himself to the new sensation, and really took his time to sense changes and process each and every ability he had.

It had took him a while, but two hours later he rolled in the area of the field boss splashing water laughing and cackling.

Levi felt ecstatic.

While it is a nurtured skill for a pro player to be able to sense his surroundings specially while in combat, keeping track of all the bones, weapons, and Skeleton summons at ones almost urged Levi to pick another class at one point during the battle.

While sitting in his less than ideal platform, he have had to rotate his view back and fort like an idiot trying his best to keep track of all of the skeletons, even with the good vantage point Levi had, the battle was too dynamic to stick on a single camera angle. Making him crane his neck back and effort, his eyes scrunched busy with knowing who and when to observe, while sending in commands to either attack, defend, or whatever as needed.

He had missed over dozens of prime opportunities to cast [Skeletal Arcane] for an empowered strike, and even dozens of late [Bone Telekinesis] that could have dodged and position himself. Levi did well enough, but it was tiring to keep track of them all. Without some form of automation, there is no way he'll be able to keep track of all of his skills.

Until now atleast.

It turned out that [Mana Sense] projects a very thin veil of mana across its surroundings, and uses a manafied form of echolocation to create a cohesive feedback that shows not only mana but a lesser visual feedback of the surroundings as well. Which was the primary collective that almost knocked out Levi as soon as he got the skill.

This all made him think about the vague role of the perception stat for a necromancer.

While having a way to create more Skeletal summons through bone creation was well and good, no matter how strong these summons are, Skeletal summons without proper control wouldn't be able to land damage.

Which inevitably brings up the importance of the Perception Stat for necromancers. During his research for the base version of Avalesk, he had found several guides portraying the importance of perception for necromancers, how important it is to have enough of the stat for visual feedback, but nothing like this.

'The guy probably ran into a control issue, or found it too much to deal with considering people usually pick necro classes for more casual evil undead army purposes.'

Levi mused.

For now Levi, decided to put all his remaining 20 free Statpoints into Mana bumping it to 51, looking to clear the third threshold at 70 before deciding to move on with balancing things out.

...

With that taken care of, Levi then proceeded to check the loot.
