Chapter 58: Provoking The Sect

Chapter 58: Provoking The Sect

Red Cloud Sect

Things had changed tremendously since the duel for the seventh rank. Ming Lu, Ming Xu, and Xiun Wu were banished from the sect while Akata had been sent to be “locked up” for two months. That wasn’t all, when Xi Fe heard what had happened to Xiun Wu, he had left the sect.

You could say that life in the sect made a huge turn. With the banishment of multiple ranked people, the cabins were re-ranked. Xiao Pao was now ranked 5th in the cabins. Since his rank increased he had gained much more pills and items to help his cultivation. With these he broke through to the 3rd Grade of the Mortal Rank.

Fang Zuwa made it back into the cabins and was now ranked 6th. Even though he had jumped ahead in rank and received better items than before, so far he has yet to break through to the 3rd Grade.

Huihe Ji was released from the Medicine Pavilion. However, something shocking occurred with him while he was in there. During his time in seclusion, he had ample time to think about the sword. During that time he had gained enlightenment regarding it and broke through to the 3rd Grade. Having broken through, his injuries healed at a fast rate and he was set to leave at any time. With his new enlightenment and cultivation base he was able to make his way to become the 4th ranked disciple of the sect, even surpassing Xiao Pao!

His appearance caused a huge uproar. Mostly everyone in the sect was happy to see Huihe Ji in good shape. A feast was made in his honor for recovering and making it back to the cultivation world.

There were quite a few additions to the cabins now as well. One such addition made Pulong Chu, the now 2nd ranked disciple of the sect, even astonished beyond belief. That was because the 7th ranked cultivator of the sect was none other than Peizhi Xiuying!

When she first came on stage to challenge the tenth cabin everyone was astonished. She had gone into the forest with Akata one day but had never came back. This made people suspect that she had died while in the forest. Yet here she was, challenging the cabins.

And her strength wasn’t bad either. She was easily able to advance in the cabin ranks all the way to the 7th. The thing is that she had used only her cultivation base, which was at the 2nd Grade of the Mortal Rank, throughout all her matches, not wanting to use her Grand Life Vine.

Once she made it to the 7th cabin she spoke some domineering words. “Once I break through to the 3rd Grade, then I will challenge more cabins and reach top three.” They were bold words but nobody challenged them. That was because everyone could feel another strong aura emanating off of her.

Even though some of the strongest people in the sect had left, others were there to replace them. Because of this, life pretty much remained the same for the disciples of the sect.

First Tower

Seated in the middle of a room were two people. One such person was Jiandan Fuza who wore a white robe. The other was a middle aged man who looked deeply at him. This man wore white armor with a moon insignia on his chest.

Jiandan Fuza sat across from this man. “Elder Jiandan Zhou. Am I going to have to participate in this battle that is going to go on? I heard from father that my aunt is requesting help from us.” Jiandan Fuza had a calm face but his voice still carried a hint of anxiousness.

“Don’t worry Young Lord Jandan Fuza. I was sent here to tell you that you will not be used in the war at all. After all, you are the second prince of our clan. However, what I came here for was not just to tell you this. I was told to give you this token.” As Elder Jiandan Zhou spoke he reached out his hand where a small silver coin could be seen within.

“A Space Displacement Token? And a medium grade one at that. Am I to use this when the battle starts?” Jiandan Fuza asked, quite intrigued by the small silver token. He took the token from Elder Jiandan Zhou and inspected it before putting it in his bag.

“You are correct. But you won’t be going home with this token. You’ll be heading for the Fallen Moon Mountains where you will meet up with the rest of the important young figures of the participating sects and clans. There, you all will be safe. There will be multiple Earthly Rank cultivators and even some people in  the Saintly Rank. You have nothing to worry about at all. Once the battle starts, you are to use this token and immediately leave.” Elder Jiandan Zhou said.

Jiandan Fuza though for a moment and then nodded his head. “I understand Elder Jiandan Zhou. Thank you for telling me all of this in person. I will be sure to tell my father of your good work.” Jiandan Fuza resumed the role of royalty as he spoke.

Elder Jiandan Zhou nodded his head and then waved his hand. This movement caused the surroundings to distort as the table between the two disappeared and became empty space. A barrier had been set up by him to block all information from escaping their conversation.

“I shall take my leave now. I do wish the best of you and hope you stay safe.” Elder Jiandan Zhou then took his leave.

Red Cloud Hall

Sect Leader Fu was sitting on her throne and looking out into the distant. She watched and heard the whole conversation of Jiandan Fuza and Elder Jiandan Zhou play out. How could a barrier from this low level person ever stop her prying eyes?

She thought to herself, ‘These mortals are real idiots. What kind of person goes into the territory of the place they are about to attack and talk about their plans. Even if they did set up a barrier, who is to say that the enemy won’t have a way to eavesdrop and pick up bit and pieces of the conversation. Tsk tsk. And here I thought people couldn’t get any dumber.’ Sect Leader Fu slowly shook her head as if she were truly disappointed.

She watched the middle aged man walked through the sect toward the exit. She watched as he scoffed at the Elders he passed by, and ridiculed the disciples. ‘Humph. He thinks he’s all that maybe I should teach him a lesson?’ She thought to herself.

Truthfully, Sect Leader Fu was just bored and needed something to do. Spending her time watching the mortal world was getting extremely boring to her. After a moment she suddenly vanished from her spot.

“Heh. You look pretty good young lady. How about you give yourself to my second prince? You should know him, he’s Jiandan Fuza. I’m sure he would be delighted to have you for a moment… that’s if he hasn’t already had a taste of you. Hahahaha!” Elder Jiandan Zhou bawled out as he spoke to a young girl. As he talked on he constantly licked his lips.

“Or maybe I should take you for myself hehe. I wouldn’t mind a bit of extra company to keep me busy on my way back to the clan.” His lewd thoughts seemed to get the best of him as he reached his hand out toward Peizhi Xiuying.

Peizhi Xiuying felt the pressure from the man in front of her and couldn’t move an inch. She simply didn’t have the power necessary to make a move. She stood there watching as the hand came closer to her. To her, it seemed as if this hand was moving in slow motion as it neared her.

“LEAVE HER ALONE!” A yell came from behind Elder Jiandan Zhou. His already lewd face formed a sinister smile. He turned his head to look at the girl that had appeared before him. She was really beautiful to the point that she looked unrivaled.

“Ah… another beautiful young girl handing herself over to me. Haha. Mysterious my ass, this sect is just simply generous. I knew it was a good choice to just come out into the open and invade this sect. Even though the Clan Leader told me to keep an extremely low profile, who would’ve thought that this sect wouldn’t even send an Elder. Hahaha.”

Elder Jiandan Zhou laughed his heart out to the point where tears started to stream down his face. He was supposed to not make himself known to the sect. In fact he wasn’t even supposed to be in the sect at all. It was intended for him and Jiandan Fuza to meet outside the sect but Elder Jiandan Zhou took it upon himself to go inside himself. He wanted to get a better look at things, but to his amazement this sect seemed extremely weak. He hadn’t even encountered one Elder yet even though he was intentionally causing a ruckus.

He stared at the young girl and licked his lips. “What’s your name young lady?” He applied a bit of pressure on his voice to weigh down on the girl in front of him.

The pressure was too great for her and she was forced to say her name. “Pu… Pulong Chu.” She managed to strain out.

“Ah. Pulong Chu. You seem to have guts standing up to me. Mind if I mess them up? Ahaha!” Elder Jiandan Zhou made a grasping motion with his hand and Pulong Chu was instantly dragged to his side. He held her in one arm and then licked the side of her face while taking in a deep breath of her fragrance. “Perfect.” He said.

He then turned back around to grab ahold of Peizhi Xiuying who seemed to be straining to move herself. ‘Ahaha. What a wonderful day. Not only did I deliver the message and token to the Young Lord, I even managed to scout this crappy place and bring two beauties with me. Simply perfect ahaha.’ He was extremely happy with himself.

Suddenly, however, a cold snort resounded by his ears. The temperature in the area plummeted to the point that the ground froze over and blades of grass turned into ice. The snort caused Elder Jiandan Zhou’s mouth, ears, nose, and eyes to ooze blood. He coughed multiple mouthfuls of blood before letting go of Pulong Chu.

He was extremely frightened as of this moment. A simple snort caused him to receive internal injuries that would not be simple to heal. He looked forward to see another young girl in a white robe standing in the distance.

She was a bit far away but even still he could hear her talking clearly. “Now how should I handle this?” She said with a smile on her face.
