Chapter 162: Noluck Returns

Chapter 162: Noluck Returns

Akata, Peizhi Xiuying, and Huihe Ji took a long look at the floating palace before walking off together. Their minds were racing with many thoughts at this moment.

“I advise you three to train together as much as you can to improve your abilities. There’s a special arena where you three can train and cultivate in. Although you three are invincible in the First Rank, you will have to face many opponents in the Second Rank. Remember, your opponents won’t show weakness when their life is on the line. You should be cruel to your enemies but even crueler to yourselves. Only in this way will you advance rapidly and steadily.” Sect Leader Fu’s words resonated within the minds of the three.

“Ah! Training is a great idea. I want to become used to my new power as soon as possible. Would you two care to join me?” Huihe Ji spoke out excitedly. Through his repeated dealings with Sect Leader Fu, Huihe Ji had actually started to lose his own country talk.

“I was just thinking the same thing.” Akata and Peizhi Xiuying agreed as well. The three of them then made their way to the arena where they could exclusively train from prying eyes.

After walking for an hour or so the three finally made their way to the arena. The arena was a building that was completely golden in color and it too floated in the air. Looking at the building the group could see three huge words written on the front. Dragon Knight Residence. After walking toward the teleportation pad and arriving inside the building, what greeted them was a magic construct.

The construct looked to be made of wood but it was gold in color. It had a humanoid shape and from looking at it, it seemed to be indestructible. The construct walked toward the group of three and spoke in a fluid robotic tone.

“Hello. I am the guardian of this building, Dragonknight. You three are the only disciples permitted to enter this place. Here are your Dragon Knight Badges. Keep these on you at all times. There is a teleportation array built inside that will allow you to directly come here from anywhere in this city. Not only that but it will also lift the restrictions placed upon you and you will be able to use your cultivation in this city as you so please.” Dragonknight held out his hand where three simple badges laid within his palm.

The three took the badges and inspected them. They looked plain and simple and was even made from regular wood. However, they could feel a profound array within the badges. On one side of the badge the word ‘Dragon’ appeared and on the other side the word ‘Knight’ was there. After inspecting the badges, the three quickly binded them to themselves.

After they took the badges, Dragonknight showed them throughout the residence. It was truly grand. Not only did they get their own rooms, the rooms themselves were simply of the highest quality. Each room had its own cultivation area, bathroom, attendant, day and night cycle, as well as other things. It was as if each room was a world unto itself. And from their perspective it was a whole world. Their rooms were actually a new world filled with mountain ranges, palaces, and lakes. It was simply magnificent.

After familiarizing themselves with their rooms the three then were shown the arena, the sole reason they actually came here. As soon as they saw the arena, however, none of them could keep a composed face. The arena was a wide open space that could be said to be endless. There were many different areas from deserts, oceans, forests, plains, mountains, marshes, and more.

“Waah! Why are there so many beasts roaming around? Isn’t this supposed to be an arena? We should be fighting ourselves not other creatures.” Akata asked with confusion. Along with that confusion, however, there was endless admiration. It had to be said that to make such a place, an unknown amount of strength was needed. Akata truly admired the power that was capable of creating such an extravagant arena.

“Those ‘beasts’ you speak of are nothing more than magic constructs. They won’t attack you on sight like regular beasts would since you hold those badges in your possession. With your badges, however, you can set the beasts to go on attack mode so that you can treat this arena as a true dangerous place to train. In attack mode the beasts will only target the person who set the attack mode, any other possessor of the badge will be safe unless they too set the beasts in attack mode.” Dragonknight spoke out and introduced the arena to the three.

“This arena is filled with many different environments and dangers that you can control with your badges so that you can increase the difficulty of your training as you so please. The constructs near us are quite weak, only at the Second Rank. The further in you go the stronger the constructs will become. This place would be considered a training paradise to the world.” Dragonknight quickly added as well.

Turning his head to look at the three he also said a few more things. “This is the entirety of the Dragon Knight Residence. Though it only a small part of the whole Red Cloud Palace City, it is still an exceptional place. In the future, you will find out just how much more impressive this place actually is. That is all. I shall take my leave now.” After he finished speaking, Dragonknight suddenly glowed with a bright red glow. It was so bright, Akata and the others couldn’t keep their eyes open. After the light dimmed down Dragonknight was nowhere to be found.

The three were left to take in the whole scene of the arena. They were truly dumbstruck at this moment. With a long sigh Huihe Ji finally ended the silence, “This… is truly much more than I expected from this sect. It could be said that I never expected to see this kind of strength from a sect in my life. I never even imagined a sect could reach this level. It’s even more than what I thought the Divinity Sect could reach.” Endless admiration could be heard within his words.

“Divinity Sect? What’s that?” Akata asked. He, who had been too weak to even cultivate didn’t know much about the strong powers in the world. It could even be said that besides the beasts in the Great Aka Tribe, he didn’t know much about any other strong powers.

“The Divinity Sect is the strongest power in our Divine Crystal Continent. It wouldn’t be wrong to call them the overlords of this continent as they truly do rule it without any equal. They reside in the Heavenly Sovereign Empire and rule this land with overwhelming might. Master even told me that they don’t lack any experts and any single person there could flatten our city with a wave of their hand. They’re infinitely close to reaching the peak strength of this world and they don’t lack people at the peak of the Fifth Rank” Huihe Ji spoke out and explained to Akata just what the Divinity Sect was.

“They’re that strong?” Akata was simply amazed. To him at this moment the Fifth Rank was simply too far away. He hadn’t even reached the Second Rank yet. Right now, Akata was remembering the might the fairy displayed at the Second Rank. He couldn’t imagine the kind of might Fifth Rank cultivators could wield.

“Bah! Puny Fifth Rank cultivators. At my prime they were nothing before my might. A simple sneeze could blow one of them into a mist of blood. Even some immortals feared my prowess let alone regular mortals.” Noluck suddenly spoke up at this time and his first words in a while actually berated cultivators.

“Ah. You finally awaken at this time and the first thing you do is boast of your previous achievements. You were supposed to be helping me cultivate but only do you not help me you even cultivate by yourself. Truly not worth looking up to.” Akata couldn’t be bothered paying attention to Noluck. During this whole time Noluck had been cultivating. He had once told Akata he would help him on his road to cultivation but up until now, it had been all of Akata’s work and he hadn’t helped at all. Although he couldn’t make progress in regards to cultivation he could gain many insights. With all the things Akata had been through and witnessed, even he had gained new experiences and gained some insights.

“It’s due to that azure vine that you now possess. I, myself, trained in the Inner Elements of Vines so I have plenty of knowledge regarding the matter, but compared to the intent within your vines mines are simply incomparable. It is truly wonderful. The destructive power it is capable of is simply terrifying to an extreme degree, something even I have never witnessed before. I gained quite a few insights regarding the destruction it was capable of. With how great of a sect this is, how could I possibly help you?” Noluck spoke in admiration and envy. He truly admired Akata’s sect and wish he could be the one roaming within.

“So the azure vine helped you out?” Akata asked quite curiously. He too knew that Noluck couldn’t do much compared to his sect at this moment so he just dropped the issue for now. ‘If I understand correctly, my azure vine should have a bit of sentience. “Noluck, are you able to inspect my azure vine closer and maybe connect to it? Perhaps you can help me control it better?” Akata asked.

“Hahahaha! If I could control that power, not to mention that fairy, even Second Rank cultivators in the mid Grades wouldn’t be a match for us. But sadly it is too formidable. Maybe if you allow me to take over your plant arm perhaps I can do something.” Noluck spoke out.

Akata then completely ignored him. He would absolutely not allow Noluck to take over his body no matter what. He didn’t trust him at all.

‘If only I had a way to let him fight however, having him by my side would indeed increase my strength a bit.’ Akata thought. Even though he was immensely strong right now, he knew he was still weak in the grand scheme of things. He was constantly thinking of ways to improve his might. Ever since Noluck started residing in his body, Akata had been thinking of ways to use him.

‘Hehehe. Who am I kidding trying to think of ways to summon a plant to fight for me. Who do I think I am? Peizhi Xiuying. She’s really admirable. She isn’t just a formidable combatant her plants aren’t simple at all.’ Akata praised in his mind.

‘I remember helping her look for flowers back then. The Blood Lotus that can strengthen itself, the Five Elements Rose that can control some elements, and even the Illusory Phoenix Lily that can revive itself…’ At first Akata was ridiculing himself but as he was his thoughts were going he trailed off at the end. A sudden idea came into mind. It was daring and if it succeeded then he could not only revive Noluck, he could actually control him.

Without any further hesitation Akata looked at Peizhi Xiuying and asked, “Peizhi Xiuying! You wouldn’t happen to have an Illusory Phoenix Lily on you would you?” Within Akata’s gaze could be seen some expectation.

“An Illusory Phoenix Lily? Yeah. After training for a while I made an effort to collect a bunch of plants and flowers to study them. Due to my efforts I’m able to replicate them easily. They aren’t as powerful as the real one’s but they still are pretty much the same.” As she spoke she held out her hand and inside of her palm appeared a white bud. The white bud soon bloomed into the shape of a lily. Boundless life energy overflowed from it and just by looking one could tell that it was special.

No doubt it was an Illusory Phoenix Lily.
