Chapter 161: Secrets Unveiled

Become the overlord of the Heavenly Sovereign Empire?

Wouldn’t be impossible to raise an army of Immortals?

What kind of concepts were these?! Any one of these statements could shake the world they lived in. The Heavenly Sovereign Empire was the strongest force on the Divine Crystal Continent that they lived on. If the Mystic Empire they stayed in was considered a speck of dust then the Heavenly Sovereign Empire was a mountain that reached the heavens. They simply couldn’t be compared to each other at all.

Immortals were seen as legends in their eyes and they were akin to gods. They were capable of doing anything they pleased and could shape the very world themselves with a wave of their hands.

If it was before the Red Cloud Sect unleashed its might to nurture its disciples to its fullest then Akata and the others would simply believe that all of this was a joke. That was because to them, the Heavenly Sovereign Empire and Immortals were existences that they simply couldn’t reach.

The shock on Akata’s, Peizhi Xiuying’s, and Huihe Ji’s faces were very apparent but even then Sect Leader Fu didn’t stop talking. “The reason for all of this is because I have a special mission for you three. Originally I was just going to make Akata and Huihe Ji the two Dragon Knights but as I saw your talent Peizhi Xiuying, I figured you could also achieve what I’m about to request of you all.” Sect Leader Fu spoke calmly.

“Right now, speaking honestly, this war is an excuse for something bigger. Bigger than the world you live in. In truth, I am not from this world and neither are First, Second, and Third Elder. We come from the true Red Cloud Sect which is actually called the Red Dragon Cloud Palace. There, a single youth could destroy this world as easily as throwing a tantrum to say nothing of a true expert.

However, something drastic happened and therefore I had to flee from there. My father wanted to take me and hide but he thought of something different. My father is very skilled in divining fate and soon came up with an idea… to raise a bunch of cultivators that could solve our problems. I thought it was a foolish idea and instantly disagreed with him but, since he is my father I eventually succumbed to his insanity. Now looking at it, there might be hope.

That is where you three come in. You are to train yourselves to reach a sufficient enough level of cultivation and eventually, if you so choose, work together with me and some others to reverse the situation in my Red Dragon Cloud Palace. Of course, we wouldn’t let you do this for free. My palace is willing to gift you each a priceless treasure that will allow you to roam the universe worry-free. Also, if you accept now, I can give you all a gift that will help you on your path through cultivation.”

Sect Leader Fu looked at them calmly as if she had spoken about a matter that didn’t relate to her destiny and future at all. It was as if she wasn’t worried in the least about their answers as if she already knew what they were going to say.

“I owe my master too much and if this is what I have to do to repay you then I will surely oblige.” Huihe Ji was the first to speak up and he agreed without hesitation. Everyone could see the resoluteness in his eyes and the firm resolve to get stronger.

“I owe my life to Akata as without him, I would not be here right now. I grew stronger and worked harder in order for me to protect him so wherever he goes I shall accompany him.” Peizhi Xiuying held a strong resolve within her too and she indirectly expressed her feelings for Akata at this moment. However, even though she knew that, she wasn’t the least bit embarrassed about it. From this it could be seen how strong her love was.

Akata first looked at Huihe Ji with a look that said he expected that answer from him but when Peizhi Xiuying spoke it did shock him. He didn’t think she felt that way about him. Although he liked her greatly, he never thought of her in that way. But hearing and seeing her confess so easily without a hint of red surfacing on her face it could be said that her feelings moved him.

“So in general you raised us to use our future power to fight for you?” Akata asked.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

Instantly Huihe Ji and Peizhi Xiuying became shocked. Never had they heard of anyone questioning the Sect Leader. Not even the Elders dared to do so yet Akata did it so blatantly.

Sect Leader Fu narrowed her eyes and cold gleam flashed by before disappearing without a trace. “Even though your words sounds harsh it is indeed as you have said. I am only using you. The road of cultivation is already so hard to walk but if you agree to my request then it will be many many times harder for you to advance. Death will be around every corner and you will make many powerful enemies. If you choose to want to become the strongest person you will undoubtedly have a harsh and dangerous path ahead of you. What I am asking isn’t whether you want to help me or not, I’m asking if you are ready for the path you will take in the future. Just think of my work done as a favor and if you are able to survive until the end to reach a sufficient strength and help me that favor will be repaid and I will even owe you.” Sect Leader Fu first calmed her nerves and killing intent and spoke as softly as possible.

Even though she spoke softly, everyone could feel the chilliness in her words clearly. The cold killing intent hidden within was felt by the three figures but Akata could feel it the most out of all of them. After all it was directed at him.

Sweat poured down his back but even then he did not let fear grip him. He bit his tongue and soon regained focus. “I don’t like being used but since our goals align and I already planned to reach the pinnacle of strength I will naturally do all I can to help you, Sect Leader Fu.” Akata forced those words out.

Even though Akata still resisted her absolute dominance Sect Leader Fu actually didn’t get mad this time. Instead she even lightly chuckled. ‘So he even has the balls to still talk back to me even after that killing intent I displayed. Even the Elders don’t dare to do that. He will definitely have a cruel future ahead of him.’ It might seem like schadenfreude but in actuality she was looking forward to what level Akata could reach.

She stood up and swept her gaze across the three of them. “Good. Since you have agreed then I shall bestow upon you some gifts. These gifts were given by my father.” As she spoke she waved her hand and instantly three pills appeared in the air. The pills were a glossy pitch black and glittered with sparkling motes of white light as a cloudy aura wafted from it. Divine runes and magic incantations glittered the three pills and it looked extremely valuable.

“These are called Ancestral Awakening Pellets. Once consumed they will trace your bloodline and soul back to the Ancient Era. With that it will unlock your hidden potential even further and you will be much stronger than those on the same level as you. You could even fight those a whole Rank above you given the right situation.” As she spoke she tossed the pills into the mouths of the three without them even noticing.

Instantly, Akata felt his blood and soul awakening. He could feel an ancient feeling coming from inside of his body as if he had come from ancient times. Just the aura alone frightened him greatly. He had never felt an aura so fearsome before and right now it was coming from his own body. He instantly sat down cross-legged and began to absorb the pill thoroughly.

Not only him but Peizhi Xiuying and Huihe Ji too sat down and began to absorb the pill. Like this their bloodlines and souls were being traced back to ancient days and as it did they were becoming much more formidable. Even if they didn’t attack, if they released the pressure from their bloodlines alone it would be enough to deter others from attacking.

A full week passed by in the room before the three suddenly opened their eyes. Their gazes looked as if they had been around for countless aeons and with a single glance they could determine a person’s Bloodline Limit.

All three of their bloodlines were fully traced back to the Ancient Era.

“The Ancient Era is a mysterious point in time where everything was prosperous. Even the regular people that walked down the road back then with their cultivation levels are considered experts in my Red Dragon Cloud Palace now. From this it could be seen how strong people were back then. Therefore their bloodlines weren’t simple. People now rarely have a bloodline from ancient times and if they do it’s really faint.” Sect Leader Fu said.

“What are bloodlines?” Peizhi Xiuying asked suddenly.

“Bloodlines grant unique powers to those who have them. But there are different levels of bloodlines. These levels are called Bloodline Limits. Bloodline Limits are a way for you to measure how far back someone’s bloodline can go. The further back it goes the stronger the bloodline. Bloodline Limits are classified by the period the bloodline came from.

Bloodline Limits can be grouped together. The main Bloodline Limits are the Ten Eternal Bloodlines, the Hundred Void Bloodlines, the Thousand Origin Bloodlines, and the Ten Thousand Ancient Bloodlines. However, there is one more called the One True Bloodline which is the strongest Bloodline Limit there is. Just possessing that bloodline you could suppress every other bloodline there is without even making a move.

These bloodlines derive from a source and time period within the Ancient Era and they are the First True Being from the True Era, the Ten Eternal Races from the Eternal Era, the Hundred Void Clans from the Void Era, the Thousand Origin Worlds Origin Era, and the Ten Thousand Ancient Palaces from the Ancient Era. Each bloodline comes from one of these Era’s. The pill you just took traced your bloodline back to the Ancient Era. Even if you could find a pill to trace it back further it might not work because first you would have to try and awaken your bloodline to the previous era and then strengthen it. But not all bloodlines can be traced back further beyond the Ancient Era.” Sect Leader Fu spoke matter of factly.

“In any case you three are Dragon Knights and will do the secret mission in the war. I do hope you can complete it and live to keep on cultivating. I will gather you all a week before the war and have you make your preparations. When that time comes I will naturally tell you your mission and who your team will be. That is all for now, you will be living in this city until you have to begin your mission. Make the most of it.”

With that Sect Leader Fu lead them out of the building and left them standing on the side of the road. The three of them looked up at the floating building. Who knows what they were thinking.
