Dragging their consciousness back to their bodies, all three of them looked at the source of the voice. However, before they even looked at the figure they all knew who it was. Once they opened their eyes, they saw a young female with flowy white robes and jade skin.
“Ah. Pulong Chu, it’s nice to see that you have finally made it here. Ahaha. How about we change this up a bit then hehe, Let’s turn this one on one battle into a two on two? Pulong Chu can be on my team.” Jiandan Fuza said calmly.
Akata glanced at Pulong Chu then looked at Peizhi Xiuying. She looked back at him and nodded her head. “I wouldn’t mind a two on two battle.” Peizhi Xiuying said coldly as she looked at Jiandan Fuza.
“I agree to it as well.” Both Akata and Pulong Chu agreed as well. Pulong Chu didn’t really know what this third floor was used for but after Jiandan Fuza spoke she could more or less guess at the use.
“Just sit on a bed and connect your consciousness to all of us. We’ll form our teams while in the area. By the way, I’m choosing the area.” Jiandan Fuza said.
Peizhi Xiuying frowned and nodded her head in agreement. Akata didn’t really care and agreed as well. After that, Pulong Chu sat on a bed and closed her eyes. All four of them began to connect to each other’s consciousness.
It only took a brief moment for this to happen and soon all of them could feel the existence of the others. When they opened their eyes they all looked around at the place that Jiandan Fuza had chosen for them to battle in. It was just a plain field with earthen yellow grass. There were sparse white clouds in the blue sky and a yellow sun in the air.
‘It’s a really simple place.’ Akata thought to himself as he looked around. The other two had the same thought as they looked around.
“I like to keep things simple. There should be no problems with this place, right?” Jiandan Fuza looked around at the other three. “Alright then. Let’s get into teams shall we? Pulong Chu let’s take this side.”
Pulong Chu and Jiandan Fuza took one side while Akata and Peizhi Xiuying took to the other side. Looking at each other they wasted no more time. Although Akata and Peizhi Xiuying had just gotten back from a battle of their own, the beds were special as to recover their mental strength at a really fast rate. Not to mention Akata’s immense amount of mental energy.
“Let’s start.” Jiandan Fuza waved his hand as a white light covered over his palms. The white light turned into a mist that shot out toward Peizhi Xiuying. He really didn’t care about the others. Peizhi Xiuying was the second ranked and so she brought the most interest toward him.
Just before Peizhi Xiuying was about to take on the white mist, Akata smiled and said, “I’ll take him on.” He held up his arm and a red mist emitted from it as it shot toward the white mist. The two mists then entangled upon each other, shredding each other apart.
Jiandan Fuza frowned upon seeing Akata engage him instead of Peizhi Xiuying. He didn’t put Akata anywhere in his mind. Disdain flashed across his face but then quickly disappeared. “You’re Akata, right? Ming Lu talked to me about you before. At the time I wasn’t really interested in you. Even now, you don’t interest me at the moment. So how about you let me fight with Peizhi Xiuying?”
“Haha. Shouldn’t you let the girls fight each other? Or are you too scared to fight me?” Akata said calmly.
Jiandan Fuza just looked calmly at Akata for a moment before chuckling. “Fine then. Let us battle. Pulong Chu, I’m sure you can handle Peizhi Xiuying.” Jiandan Fuza took a step forward and made a grasping motion with his hand.
Stolen novel; please report.
The white mist that was entangled with the red mist soon became larger and then consumed the red mist. It then changed directions and went for Akata’s figure. Akata furrowed his eyebrows and turned into a black light as he quickly dodged the incoming white mist.
Jiandan Fuza looked thoughtfully at the speed Akata had just displayed and then waved his finger. That finger wave sent the white mist to change directions. When Akata reappeared off in the distance, he could see the mist already closing in on him.
‘He’s able to track my movements?’ Akata as surprised and then once more changed into a black light as he disappeared.
Jiandan Fuza just stood in place and smiled. He then turned around with a blazingly fast speed and struck out with a fist. Suddenly, Akata reappeared right in front of the fist strike.
Bang!
Their fists collided with each other’s and Akata had to take multiple steps back to stabilize himself. ‘Not only did he track and anticipate my movements, he also had the speed to counterattack. His strength is definitely not lacking either.’ Akata quickly analyzed the situation.
‘Hm. He’s not that much of some trash. I guess I can play with him a bit longer before I destroy him.’ A wicked look flashed in Jiandan Fuza’s eyes before quickly fading away. He took a step forward as white light emanated off of his body. His eyes flashed with white light and he raised his hand. This all caused a white mist to appear on top of his palm.
Akata got a familiar sensation from Jiandan Fuza’s actions when he saw it. ‘This is like when I use my own runes. No. It’s a bit different from when I do it. I can’t really figure it out though.’ Crimson light sprang up around Akata’s body and flashed through his eyes. He held his hand up as a ball of black and crimson hellfire appeared in his palms.
Jiandan Fuza furrowed his brows and stopped advancing. “What is that?” He asked solemnly.
The sudden stop surprised Akata and he forced himself to discontinue his actions. “What is what?”
“That crimson light shining off of you? Are you… No impossible it can never happen to anyone else. I’m the only blessed one on this planet” Jiandan Fuza waved his hand sending that white mist to fly towards Akata.
Akata threw his hellfire towards the white mist and the resulting clash made the two enlarge. The mist fueled the hellfire while the hellfire expanded the mist. Akata furrowed his brows further as he sensed a familiar feeling. ‘He’s using an Outer Element. From the sensations it should be the Outer Element of Yang.’ Although Akata hadn’t had contact with all of the Outer Elements, he could still identify some of them.
For instance, because he had come into contact with the Outer Element of Yin, he could tell that the element Jiandan Fuza was using was the complete opposite of it. Therefore it could only be the Outer Element of Yang.
‘The yin and yang elements are all about creation. The yin element focuses on making the illusory things in the universe real. The yang element, however, makes completely new things real.’ Quickly, identifying the element and its uses, Akata thought of a way to counter it.
‘Eh? This feels like an Outer Element. Does he really have control of an Outer Element? But he’s just supposed to be trash. It’s already considered a rare thing for people of our age and cultivation level to even know about Outer Elements, yet he has control of one. Just what is it?’ Jiandan Fuza no longer smiled as he pointed at the white mist that was constantly attacking the black hellfire. “Water.”
The white mist responded to his commands and seemed to take on a new shape, form, texture, look, etc. It was transforming into a completely different thing. The white water consumed the hellfire and then went on towards Akata.
‘Just like that he countered my hellfire. It is weak but it shouldn’t have been that easy to counter it.’ Blazing black hellfire rose from Akata’s body. This time, crimson flickers could be seen more abundantly and they gave off a weird feeling to everyone in the vicinity. Even Pulong Chu and Peizhi Xiuying looked over.
‘Just what is that fire?’ They both thought as they looked at the black flames.
“Et urere flammis meo.” The dark flames around Akata’s body suddenly became pitch black and the heat increased by five times. The black hellfire became much more chaotic and seemed to grow out of control. This was only visually though, as the hellfire was simply a part of Akata. More like an extension of himself, it was under his complete control.
A crimson light sprang up around his body as the crimson flickers on the black hellfire grew more abundant and fierce. He was adding the soul element to the hellfire.
The white water that was approaching him simply faded away into motes of light as it couldn’t stand up to the heat that was being given off by the hellfire. The motes of light then was absorbed by the hellfire.
‘What is happening?! He just absorbed my attack.’ Jiandan Fuza’s mind reeled as he saw this. Suddenly his eyes went cold and a shocking killing intent appeared. A white mist sprang from his body and covered over the area. The white mist was freezing and soon the ground became frozen.
The freezing white mist and the burning black hellfire caused a shocking contrast in the surrounding temperature. Both Pulong Chu and Peizhi Xiuying were affected by it and had to stop their battle to defend against it. A shockwave blasted out and sent them flying back a few meters.
Akata’s face became extremely calm as he looked at Jiandan Fuza. Jiandan Fuza on the other hand looked crazed and cold. It was totally different from his usual normal appearance. They stared at each other for a moment before finally raising their hand and pointing at the other.
Whoosh!
The white water and black hellfire were sent hurdling towards each other in shocking fashion and speed. They didn’t clash, however, and instead bypassed each other. That was because they were headed toward Jiandan Fuza and Akata directly!
