Chapter 133: The Four Moons (2)

Chapter 133: The Four Moons (2)

First Moon waved his hand where a new moon appeared in his palm. The new moon twinkled and made the dark sky even darker. Silver light sprang up around his body as he looked to be like a firefly in the otherwise dark place. “Die!” He yelled out as the new moon in his hands enlarged and was thrown out toward the crowd of people in front of him.

Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Elder decided to take on the blast while Seventh Elder went to protect the people from the remaining energy. Surprisingly, it took all four of them just to take on First Moon. Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Elder coughed up a mouthful of blood. Blood was dripping from their mouths and their faces were pale.

“We need to hold him back. The other Elder’s should still be preparing some things and they can’t come immediately. It’s up to us to fight back for now.” Fourth Elder gritted his teeth and said. The others all assented.

First Moon’s eyes were bloodshot as he advanced in their direction. A silver light sprang around his body and lit up the dark area. He gave a cold snort as he waved his hand in their direction. Four dark moons appeared around his body as they quickly grew in size. Each moon then shot forward to meet with each of the Elders.

Swish. The moons quickly arrived at the Elders; the dark moon covered over their bodies as if it were consuming them. Their skin started to darken as though they were corroding from the inside out. All four of the Elders coughed up blood that was mixed with blackness. Seventh and Sixth Elder had it worse since they had the lowest cultivation of the group, only being at the 1st Grade of the Earthly Rank.

Their skin was rapidly turning black at a fast pace and their darkened blood was oozing from their eyes, ears, nose, and mouths. The two dropped to their knees and gasped for air as they tried to recover. “Seventh Elder! Sixth Elder!” The surrounding disciples called out as they saw the Elders drop down. The two Elders gritted their teeth and quickly stood back up, staggering as they did.

“Hehehe. You won’t be standing for long.” First Moon raised his hands into the air as a giant black moon appeared above his head. This black moon gave off a sense of overwhelming power. Just simply looking at it would cause someone to feel as if their body was corroding away. The pressure given off by this moon made the eyes of the Elders constrict from shock; the only exception was Fourth Elder.

Fourth Elder looked deeply at this black moon and his eyes glazed with focus and determination. He took a drink from his alcohol flagon and then closed his eyes. His body started to glow with a purple wavy light that almost resembled mist but not quite. He held the hand that wasn’t holding the flagon in the air as the purple light gathered into his palm.

That purple wavy light started to gather faster and faster and an image started to form within the middle of his raised palm. In the blink of an eye the image of a grapevine appeared. There were hundreds of grapes on the grapevine that were purple in color. Fourth Elder’s eyes were closed but then they suddenly snapped opened to reveal a clear and keen look; this was rare since he was almost always drunk.

The grapes on the grapevine quickly turned to a charcoal color with a purple dot in the center and grew to a staggering size. Each grape grew to become the size of a head before they stopped growing. They gave off an ominous feeling of darkness that edged toward the soul as if to consume it. This feeling of power and pressure was no less than that of the black moon that was above First Moon’s head.

“Die!” First Moon screamed out as he threw his hands forward. The black moon in his hands flew toward the Elders directions in an attempt to fully corrode their bodies and destroy them. The power of the moon’s cultivated by the Four Moons of the Jiandan Clan were made to corrode. Fourth Moon’s power of corrosion targeted the mind whereas First Moon’s targeted the whole body. There was a clear difference in power between the two and that obviously showed through the use of these moves.

Fourth Elder clenched his palm into a fist, this made the grapevine burst out, sending all of the grapes shooting outward toward the black moon. They carried the power of darkness and illusions as they hurtled forward in a sporadic manner. The darkness in the grapes made it so that the power it emitted would directly attack the inside of the body, heading toward the mind, body, and soul. The illusions brought a sense of warmth and euphoria. It was a weird mixture that, when put together, would cause shocking effects.

The charcoal and purple grapes exploded outwards in a wide area attack but soon gathered together to form a giant grape. The grape was just as large as the black moon and also brought an equally shocking pressure and power. The two attacks caused the ground to crack and the air to shake and vibrate as they came closer to each other.

Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Elder decided to divert their energy to protecting the disciples. It wasn’t like they didn’t want to aid Fourth Elder in attacking First Moon, it was just that Fourth Elder was the only one capable of launching an attack at the time. Once the three were finally able to move their bodies, there just wasn’t enough time to actually conjure up a useful attack, so they just focused on defending for now.

Boom! The collision brought along wave after wave of power and destruction. Buildings shook and the ground below broke apart. Trees and other vegetation was ripped up as the shockwave blasted outward. The nearby disciples were thrown back by the shockwave, even with the Elder’s protecting them they still sustained injuries. This was to be expected since this level of attack was just something they couldn’t even comprehend.

The four Elders were too busy fighting off First Moon, he was just too powerful for them to split up and attack both First and Second Moon. This allowed for Second Moon to run amok in the sect and destroy some buildings. He was trying to kill disciples but every time he would try they would somehow disappear from his view.

“AAARGH! It doesn’t matter how far you all run. I’ll rip your life away with these two hands of mine.” Silver light sprang up on his body and shined on the sect. A half moon rested in his palms as the power of erosion spilled out. The nearby buildings started to erode, gradually wearing down until they no longer had the strength to remain standing.

“Where is your sect leader at? Bring him out here so that I can tear him apart. I want to give his life up for my own brother!” The Four Moons of the Jiandan Clan were really close with each other. They had grown up with each other, they considered each other brothers, and they had experienced many life and death situations together. It was only right that after one had disappeared here and another one of their brothers was killed that they would be angry beyond reason.

“Humph. Simply absurd. Even if all four of you teamed up, you wouldn’t be close to my match.” Sect Leader Fu gave a cold snort. “How about you take on one of my disciples.” She gave another cold snort before a red mist sprang up around Second Moon. He felt his power being suppressed to a horrible degree. After that he was transported to a different place.

‘Their Sect Leader is a woman? What about that information on that man? I can’t communicate with the sect any longer either. My power seems to have weakened to the 1st Grade of the Earthly Rank. What all is happening?’ Second Moon was extremely confused as of now. “Tell me where I am! Show yourself and fight me right now so I can utterly destroy you!” He yelled out.

“If you can kill this disciple of mine then I’ll return your companion to you.” Sect Leader Fu said calmly in Second Moon’s mind.

“I don’t give a fuck about your disciple! They’re all going to die anyways. I want to destroy you personally!” Second Moon yelled with bloodthirsty intent. But he didn’t get a response. He yelled out frustratingly and his aura exploded out.

“There ain’t no need to be so frantic. My Sect Leader already told me ‘bout you and what she wants me to do with you. If yer can manage to kill me then you get yer friend back, right? Then I reckon yer only choice is to fight me.” A calm tone entered the ears of Second Moon.

His bloodshot eyes scanned the area. It was a field that was covered in white grass. The sky was dark and a moon could be seen high in the sky. In the distance he could see a lone figure that was seated cross legged. Around him was red grass that twinkled much brighter than the white grass.

The figure wore a white robe and had short black hair. Across his lap could be seen a single greatsword. The blade was red and the hilt of the sword was a calm white. The youth’s face was calm and his eyes were closed. He wasn’t putting the man that had just arrived in his mind at all.

“You send a kid that’s only at the 10th Grade of the Mortal Rank to fight against me? Humph. Even if I am suppressed to the 1st Grade it means nothing to me before this kid. You just sent him to his own death. This sect is simply stupid, If all of our brothers were together we could destroy it by ourselves. Just wait until I kill this kid and make my way over to you.” Second Moon’s eyes and face filled with a cold killing intent.
