Akata was becoming desperate. He couldn’t hold on much longer. If he didn’t find a way to repair the damage to his elemental aura then it would explode and all the pressure from the heavenly lightning and hellish lava would engulf him, destroying him in mind, body, and soul.
Akata kept on rotating his crimson rune but he knew that he was creating an even more dangerous situation. All of these breakthroughs would make his foundation extremely unstable and he could very well explode from the inside. But if he didn’t do this then then pressure that seeped in through the cracks of his elemental aura would destroy him from the outside.
Demon Realm Imp Rank Grade 6… Grade 7
Beast Realm Docile Rank Grade 7… Grade 8
Akata held on through gritted teeth and forcefully endured the bloated feeling in his body.
As if things couldn’t get any worse a report came back to Sno Re. After the report came in, his face instantly became pale and unsightly. “Shit! This had to happen right now?!” He quickly told Leemurs to relay the message to the others.
Leemurs had the special ability to create a few clones that acted independently from his main body but shared the same thoughts and experiences. If one clone was told something then the others would know the information as well. It was extremely useful in relaying messages quickly,
“Peizhi Xiuying, Sno Re told me to report to you that the beast horde has had a change in formation and seem to be organizing themselves. This is due to a strong creature commanding them. This creature should be on their way over here as I speak. Sno Re has asked if you could help fight this-”
Boom! Before Leemurs could finish everything he had to say a boom resounded nearby. Dust and earth exploded into the air as a figure landed on the ground. A huge smoke cloud appeared and obscured the vision of several cultivators.
“Cough cough… what was that-” The cultivator that was nearby and just speaking abruptly found out that the world was tilting to the side and the ground was getting closer. He didn’t have a chance to figure out what was going on before he died. His head was cut off.
Before his head hit the ground a hand suddenly reached out from the smoke cloud and grabbed it. The head was pulled back into the clouds and soon afterwards a crunching sound could be heard. It was silent to begin with so the sounds of crunching were especially easy to hear.
Everyone couldn’t help but shudder and fear swelled up into their minds. Even the beasts couldn’t help but shiver in fear towards this almighty figure.
“Ahhh… It’s been a long time since I’ve tasted human before. It is still rich and very lovely.” A sweet voice resounded in the ears of everyone. Although this voice was the most pleasant thing any has ever heard, the words that came from the voice completely altered people's perception. It felt conflicting and made everyone think of what kind of terrifying existence could be hidden within that dust cloud.
It was dead silent and nobody thought to move a single face muscle, let alone their bodies. The dust slowly settled to the ground and the appearance of the creature slowly came into the view of everyone. What shocked them even more was the appearance of this figure.
This figure looked exactly like a middle aged man, the only thing that distinguished him from looking like a human… was the fact that he was only a few inches tall! Not only that but he had translucent wings that glittered in the sunlight and fluttered brilliantly. With every flap of his wings, motes of light would fall off as if he was shedding off his heavenly charm. Even though he looked middle aged he was still extremely handsome. Along with his purple hair and pointy ears, it could be said that he stood out.
“A… A… A fairy? I didn’t think that they existed. I thought they were mere legends.” A cultivator whose mind had gone totally blank said all of a sudden.
Every cultivator present was shocked into speechlessness not just from his appearance but also from his actions and words. Clearly, he was a madman that like to eat humans. And from his sudden actions it could be seen that he had plenty of strength.

Whoosh! Whip! Swish! Three attacks suddenly launched themselves toward the flying mini person out of nowhere. Cho Re attacked with his Goldsun Greatsword, Sno Re attacked with a Silvermoon Longstaff, and Peizhi Xiuying attacked with her Grand Life Vine. These three were top disciples and they attacked in sync and unexpectedly. Anyone under the Earthly Rank would be seriously injured by this combined attack, if not dead.
The fairy swept his gaze across the incoming attacks and harrumphed. He swiped his hand through the air as countless leaves appeared out of nowhere. The leaves fluttered in the wind and didn’t even seem capable of blocking a fly from passing by, but when the attacks touched the leaves they simply were absorbed as if they were water. The leaves on the other hand grew a bit bigger.
“I don’t have time for these tricks!” The fairy swept his gaze across the battlefield and quickly located his target. With a swoosh he flew with incomprehensible speed toward the place where lava was gushing out and lightning was striking. Obviously his target was Akata.
Fwoosh! He flew straight towards Akata but before he could get halfway, a black vine tendril rose from the ground right in front of the pillar of lava. The tendril quickly thickened and a white flower bud appeared then bloomed. Within the flower was a beautiful girl but her face right at this moment was extremely cold. It was none other than Peizhi Xiuying.
“You’re not touching Akata.” She said coldly. She swiped her arm across the air and all of a sudden black tendrils shot out from the ground and toward the fairy. Making an incantation gesture, white flower buds appeared on the black tendrils in shocking fashion and then bloomed. There were lilies, roses, dandelions, lotuses, tulips, etc. Many different types of plants appeared on the vine tendril.
“Humph. Measly plant cultivator.” The fairy simply flew past the tendrils that were flying towards its body and seeked to head straight for Akata. He wished for nothing save to destroy him. How could Peizhi Xiuying fight somebody that completely ignored her?
Whoosh! In the blink of an eye the fairy vanished and then reappeared behind Peizhi Xiuying and right in front of the lava pillar. He stretched out his hand and then pointed toward the pillar. Boundless pressure exploded out and added onto the pressure of the lava and lightning, making it much more difficult for Akata to hold on.
Although the fairy was strong, he wasn’t strong enough to go against a tribulation that came from heaven and hell. He couldn’t go against it and destroy Akata, otherwise he would be destroyed too. All he could do was send his pressure over and obstruct Akata a bit more.
With that, the fairy stopped there and waved his other hand, setting up a defensive barrier to block out the others and protect himself from attacks. Although he could ignore the attacks of these people, he didn’t feel like being annoyed.
Peizhi Xiuying’s face became icy cold and her anger rose to another level. She unleashed devastating attacks one after the other in an attempt to drive the fairy away. Sno Re and Cho Re did the same, along with any others who were free from fighting the beasts, but it was all for naught. Nothing they did was capable of breaking the barrier of the fairy.
Akata was still within the pillar of lava of being blasted by lightning when all of a sudden more pressure flooded in. This pressure was obviously different than the pressure of heaven and hell and Akata instantly knew what it was.
‘Pressure from the Second Rank? Someone must be trying to kill me as I try to face this tribulation.’ Akata became extremely calm as he thought this. Right now he could do nothing save for pass this tribulation. He couldn’t fight back against the person attempting to worsen his situation so all he could do was pass and break free.
‘Heaven and hell already wants to obstruct and test me, so what gives this person the right to do so as well? All this pressure is to see if I’m strong enough just to gain acknowledgement of heaven and hell and use their power for myself. Fuck their power, I want to use my own power to become stronger. I don’t need the power of heaven or hell to reach the pinnacle. All they do is test the weak as if they’re the strongest force. I don’t need their permission to grow strong, all I need is myself!’
Akata suddenly came to a new understanding once that new pressure came in. He didn’t want to use the power of heaven or hell to grow stronger. They wanted to test his strength to see if he was worthy of their use so what right did they have to help him? He didn’t want their help any longer so he fully outright rejected it.
With this new ideology in mind Akata didn’t seek to try and integrate with the power of heaven or hell and instead used his own energy to support his element. He used his mental energy, divine energy, body energy, any energy that was all his he used to support his own elemental aura. Since he wasn’t seeking the aid of heaven or hell to support his new element then there was no longer a need for the tribulation. It slowly died down and along with it so did the pressure.
The golden lightning and clouds retracted and went back to heaven. The black lava sank back into the earth and went back to hell. The pressure from both went away and the tribulation was over with. The only pressure that remained was the one from the fairy.
“Eh? He succeeded anyways?” The fairy was instantly confused. Just about as soon as he applied his pressure the tribulation ended, yet Akata was still standing there, perfectly fine.
The elemental aura on Akata condensed further as he used his own energy to form his new element. Although it would be weaker now than if he finished the tribulation with the energy of heaven or hell, in the future there would be no limit to the power it could unleash. As strong as he could become that would be as strong as his new element could become.
At first Akata didn’t think that using his own energy would work but he soon found out that his crimson rune seemed to pour part of his soul into it and helped him further nourish his new element. The terrifying aura slowly built as he soon fully constructed it.
The new element took on a misty look that flickered with sparks and was full of vitality. Without the energy of heaven or hell it looked translucent. If it was blessed it would be golden, if it was cursed it would be actually be azure. Now that it didn’t have either it was transparent, or at least it would be. Backed by the power of the crimson rune the new element took on a crimson glow. It actually looked similar to when Akata used the Red Cloud Formation.
Everyone looked at Akata who had his eyes closed and they could feel the terrifying aura emanating from him. One look and they could tell that whatever mist surrounded Akata at this moment was extremely formidable. They didn’t dare to approach it.
“Humph!” Seeing the tribulation disappear and Akata still surviving, the fairy no longer cared about heaven or hell obstructing him. He gave a cold snort and waved his hand in Akata’s direction, hoping to deal a fatal blow.
Akata opened his eyes and within could be seen calmness that didn’t match his age. It was an extreme sense of calm that told whoever looked within his gaze that he shouldn’t be messed with. “You can die now.” He spoke slowly.
