As he went through the pages, he sometimes peeked to look at Louie, who was looking at his nephew with a smug smile on his face, clearly liking to show off. Isaiah took in Louie's appearance and made a mental note to repay the people who helped him.
Even though on the surface he looked buried deep into the papers, examining them with pure focus, he was actually thinking about how he could utilize his connections to his uncle. This uncle of his, Louie, was clearly a man of high standing. He knew he could get much more from him than just a few papers about mana.
Isaiah organized back the papers and put them in the suitcase, "Are you also gifting the suitcase?" he asked with a chuckle.
Louie was a little caught off guard at Isaiah's joke and replied with a chuckle, "Of course, take it. I actually manufacture those." Louie said the last part proudly.
Even though it looked like a simple suitcase, Isaiah managed to catch the reason for him being proud of a suitcase. Just like most items sold in the market, this one also had a cubic shape, but its zippers and logo were circular. It was clearly a luxury product.
Isaiah stood up, seeing Louie off, "Uncle, you should know I have assets left from my parents and an uncle I can rely on." He smiled, "I'm sure you can use them to invest in any future projects." He didn't say much more; he knew a man like Louie didn't need more exposition.
Isaiah knew that in a dictatorial government, most investment opportunities came from the government, mostly in the form of tenders, which meant even if he had the money to invest, he would find it hard to without proper connections.
Louie's mood was heightened. A busy man like him obviously didn't suddenly decide to visit his nephew after years for no reason; getting investments from him was one of the purposes of his visit. However, he was pleasantly surprised at his nephew's talent for business. Until now, he thought of Isaiah as more of a lost cause that went into a downward spiral after his parents' death.
Louie extended his hand and properly shook Isaiah's hand, "I feel like we will meet more often in the future, Nephew."
Isaiah smiled, "I'm sure we will, Uncle. I'm sure we will. Let us prosper as a family!" he laughed as he added the last part.
Louie laughed and patted Isaiah's shoulder, "You are right! It was time the Dominus family came back together." Then he turned around to leave, Lily following right behind him like his tail.

Isaiah couldn't help but check Lily out as she walked, "This makes me think I have yet to put this new flesh body to use," but unfortunately, first came research. He picked up the suitcase and closed the shop early to study the documents his uncle gifted him.
He first took a shower and organized the documents according to their theme, then got to studying. He studied until sunrise, but he wasn't even halfway done with the documents.
There were many methods presented to help ease your way into Rank 1. However, with Isaiah's abysmal talent, he needed something more than a little boost. Soon he filtered them down to three methods he could choose from. The Mana Pool method required the user to indulge themselves in a pool made of pure mana. However, such pools didn't exist naturally in nature and needed to be crafted by a professional first, which meant its price was sky-high, and he couldn't afford it right now.
The second method required him to own a mana circulation artifact, which also surpassed his current budget. The reason he even considered this was mostly for future use.
The last and his preferred method was called the "Piercing Desperation Method." Just as its name suggested, this was a method for the truly desperate. It involved the user piercing themselves with mana gems, which were pricey but still affordable for him. Then the rest was pretty much up to luck, hence the "desperate" part of the name. If you were lucky, you would advance to Rank 1 quite nearly instantly, but the chance for success was abysmal, and the risks were even higher. In the case of failure, your body would be overwhelmed by mana, killing the user of the method instantaneously.
Obviously, Isaiah hadn't lost his mind, nor was he that desperate. The real reason he chose this method was that it looked quite unrefined and there was large room for improvement. He would weigh the risks and rewards after he modified the method. He had many ideas as to how he could approach this, but he needed test subjects to be able to effectively try his methods apart from just theory. Luckily, he knew just the guy who would be interested in developing such technology.
He spent the rest of the day preparing a business proposal for his uncle. This would be their first project together. He didn't need any funds nor did he need any help regarding the scientific process; all he needed was his uncle's connections.
The sun showed its bright face once more, lighting up the bright silver city. Isaiah had already taken a shower and put on a sleek, pitch-black suit, which was just his style: simple but effective. He took the documents he prepared and put them in the suitcase his uncle gifted him, then made his way to his uncle's office.
He walked down and greeted his neighbor with his usual bright smile. You never knew where opportunities would come; being nice and getting closer to people didn't hurt him. He made his way through the streets of Silver City, bustling with life as shops chanted their sales slogans and musicians played their tunes. At every corner, there was a large statue that stood erect, some of the important figures who contributed to the empire and some purely artistic.
He soon arrived in front of his uncle's office, located on a street filled with similar huge buildings. This street was clearly where business was mainly handled: Chasm Street. He could smell the money in the air and on the faces of people rushing from building to building, trying to get work done.
