Aftermath of The Titans’ Battle

Aftermath of The Titans’ Battle

Isaiah put on a smile, while his left hand was playing with the space gem, his right hand extended to shake Sir Isaac’s, “I don’t think it's a shame that we have met this way”, he continued with a chuckle, “Life isn’t about the opportunities it presents you but how you take advantage of them.”

Sir Isaac laughed in response, his laugh was quite held back, sounding more like a low chuckle, “A mindset expected from someone as proficient in business like yourself” His gaze shifted towards the space gem in Isaiah’s hands, “Both I and the empire is grateful to you for protecting the space gem during the terrorists’ attack.”

The meaning of his words were clear, he wanted the gem back. Isaiah chuckled and threw up in the air and caught it once more, his gaze also fell on it, “Say.. What kind of accomplishment is complete without a proper reward for it?” He then threw the gem towards Sir Isaac, who promptly caught it, opening his vest and sliding it in his pocket.

Sir Isaac nodded, “Of course a reward is imminent”, he opened his vest once more, pulling out a notebook from his pocket alongside a pen, he then turned his attention back towards Isaiah, ”Now then, what would you like in return?”

Isaiah was surprised by how to the point the man was but he appreciated the swift process, “Well, how about th-” SHOO, all of a sudden, a huge pressure came upon him, he had to hold his knees for support to not drop down.

His brain was working overtime, wondering what could have happened for Sir Isaac to apply his Aura’s pressure upon him. He with great difficulty lifted his gaze to look up towards him, he noticed even he wasn’t in good condition. While physically fine, his brows were furrowed as he looked at the bright sky towards the west, clearly not being the source of the Aura.

Isaiah noticing the man wasn’t the source of the Aura turned his attention towards where Sir Isaac’s gaze was pointed towards. His eyes widened as he witnessed the immense power of Rank 3, a huge tornado of silver was locking the entire sky far away, its silver maw was clashing with another flaming red tornado as if to signal the end of the world.

His already widened eyes further widened, his pupils enlarged, “So this this the power of a Rank 3?” There was bottomless greed visible in his eyes. He used all his strength to straighten his back and turn to the source of this immense Aura crashing upon the entire Empire.

Amongst the numerous people prostrating, some willingly while other crushing under the pressure, Sir Isaac and Isaiah stuck out like sore thumbs.

Sir Isaac’s eyes focused on Isaiah’s figure which had just risen, never having fallen completely. This was not the first time a Rank 3 Aura has washed the Empire, however in his long life, he had never saw a Rank 1 able to stand proud against it.

SWOO! The wind current from the apocalyptic fight reached even as far as here. Dust took the surroundings, Isaiah’s eyes however were still glued to the fight above, trying to obtain as much information about this rare Rank as possible. Opportunities to see Rank 3s in action came once in a decade unless it was war time.

He watched the entire fight with great detail, he was able to see the fight hundreds of kilometers away thanks to his light element. Obviously while a light mages visual perception was truly impeccable, it alone wasn’t enough.

He had formations in both eyes as he casted a spell using them, its purpose was to simply collect light into his eyes easier. He also could use it to collect visual information on 3 dimensional space with him as its center. It was similar to normal mana sense but specialized for light mages. A simple to cast, yet effective spell.

BOOM! With one final clash between the two titans, Isaiah saw a man who he assumed to be Emperor Silvershine fly towards the royal palace. He was traversing at ridiculous speeds as he traversed the few hundred kilometers between him and the palace within a dozen seconds.

Isaiah’s eyes followed the man's figure as he landed on the balcony of the royal palace with his immense speed, not a single tile was broken nor was the air disturbed at all. It was as if he could move without disturbing the world around him, unlike the fight prior which sent shockwaves through the plane.

As the commotion ended people around him rose as if nothing had transpired, “How pitiful” Isaiah couldn’t help but feel pity towards them as they treated this occasion as nothing more than a holy event, worshiping the emperor akin to a god-like figure.

He shook his head as he watched the people around him, acting like they weren’t just forced to kneel with their heads down, truly powerless nor ambitious for it.

Isaiah turned his attention to the man who now had a newfound respect for him, “We were talking about the rewards before the show of a lifetime happened.” He laughed, in a joyous mood due to his gains from this event. Not only did he gain a precious metal but also a tempering ring, not to mention him finally being Rank 1 Middle.

Sir Isaac was flabbergasted by Isaiah’s referring Emperor Silvershine’s fight as a mere show. He didn’t show it on his face but he didn’t know if he should be offended or amused, “Of course, please continue where you had left off.”

Isaiah’s already wide smile widened further as he made his suggestion, “I’m sure, you would know about my communication business, formation cards.”, hearing him Sir Isaac nodded, “Few haven’t heard of your ingenious formation cards. I, myself, was planning on getting subscriptions for my business’.”, he then turned to look at the rubble around him, “But it seems like it might have to wait a little.”

Isaiah laughed at the man’s words, which he assumed to be joking in nature, “Well, I have been having troubles getting property inside both Noble District and Chasm District. I would be grateful if The Royal Palace could help me.”

Sir Isaac’s gaze sharpened when he mentioned the royal palace. He obviously wasn’t the real owner of the space gem, and this whole event was set up in collaboration with The Royal Palace to fish out the terrorists.
